Richard has been a fantastic tutor for my Daughter, who is shy, nervous and was very reluctant to go to a tutor! Richard was amazing at putting her at ease from the off, creating a positive learning environment, tailoring to her needs and making it fun. She originally saw him to give her confidence in her maths and English and then progressed to 11+ learning and she came on leaps and bounds. She looked forward to going every week! I wish he had been tutoring when my Son was doing his 11+ as we tried all the usual tutors in Ashford (large group sessions, using computers, 1:1) and none were as good. I’ll be brining my youngest to Richard in a couple of years. Thanks for everything!

Richard was great to speak too, gave brilliant feedback, and just helped my daughter take that extra step. He gave her confidence, and his message to her just resonated with her brilliantly. Whilst we didn't have regular tutoring, we gained valuable insight from the 11+ mocks and then a couple of 2 hrs intensive sessions the week before the Kent test.

Both my son and daughter have had tutoring with Richard and I can not recommend him highly enough. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable on the different areas of the curriculum and 11+ but he also has a way of making the children believe in themselves, giving them the confidence they need to succeed. Richard treats each child as an individual, tailoring his sessions to what the child needs as opposed to a ‘one hat fits all’ approach. He also gives you detailed feedback on your child’s progress and provides valuable advice for moving your child forward. Both my children enjoy going to Richard and do not see it as a chore. My son finds school a little tricky but having a quieter, encouraging environment at RP Tutoring he really is improving. Richard provides regular and helpful feedback on my sons progress and focuses on areas he finds more difficult rather than all of the curriculum. This really is beneficial as it does not waste time on areas he is strong at.

Jackie tutored my son for an academic year in preparation for the Kent Test. Jackie is an experienced and knowledgeable tutor in this area. She ensured my son was as prepared as possible, with repeated practice of all the areas tested and focused on specific areas highlighted as necessary. Jackie also prepared my son for the more practical aspects of the test, such as time management, confidence building and emotional support. Jackie is caring, approachable and friendly and was able to build a great rapport with my son. Really helpful website, all their quizs cover nearly all topics and give question requiring in depth thought and connections between topics, overall amazing and will continue to use!

A really thorough quiz which considers a variety of science terms and processes as part of the multiple choice, encouraging further learning or checking when the answers are revealed at the end of the test. Accessible, friendly and enjoyable. Just enough questions around the specific topics, enough to not become overbearing or confusing. Although I think that for GCSE, it may need to be a bit more challenging. Maybe there could be challenging levels to select and pass as part of the quizzing. Thank you.

Mary is an excellent tutor and I thoroughly recommend her.  My daughter has made wonderful progress since she started having lessons with her. Her own daughter was home educated and is currently studying at Cambridge University which highlights the standard of her teaching. Mary also has experience working with students who are dyslexic with great results.  I would not hesitate in choosing her to tutor my child.

I cannot recommend Mary highly enough. We originally asked her to help our son with English Language because we were concerned that his grades were continually falling over time. However, her tuition also helped improve his English Literature work in the process, and they ended up being his two highest GCSE grades. Mary was friendly and professional throughout and we could see a noticeable improvement in our son’s ability and confidence in the subject from the start.

My children are really enjoying their classes with Mary. They find her explanations clear & easy to follow. They love the notes she takes during the class. This helps them concentrate during the lesson and go back over things afterwards when they need to apply what they have learnt. Mary has a great balance of being warm and friendly yet firm enough that the children listen and know they are to take their studies seriously if they want to progress and achieve. Mary really knows her subject so well and we feel very blessed for our children to be learning from such a great teacher.

Fiona Cameron was incredible from the very first introduction. She spent time listening to our daughter to better understand what her capabilities and interests were. Fiona modified her approach and teaching style to suit our daughter which paid dividends. As the weeks progressed the creative writing that was being produced was so incredibly powerful and descriptive. Fiona was great at sharing her enthusiasm for her subject and always encouraging and engaging. I think it was particularly helpful that Fiona made a point of showing how thrilled she was at the results of our daughter’s efforts. I’m pleased to say that as a result of everything our daughter achieved an incredible result. I can’t recommend Fiona more highly, a fabulous teacher and a gentle person to be around.

Vicky has been a fantastic tutor for my daughter for 8 years right up to her GCSE exams. She tailored her lessons to my daughter's needs boosting her confidence. Vicky also greatly helped my son by providing a couple of adhoc lessons to assist him with understanding some very difficult equations on his electrical course. As a result both passed their exams. I highly recommend and wish Vicky all the best.

Rita is such a lovely tutor, she took the time out of her day to make sure my daughter has the right work to complete and to ensure that she is getting the right tasks in order to do well in her gcses. With Rita my daughter was able to jump 2 whole grades which is a massive improvement. I could not recommend Rita enough, she is very good at what she does!

Vicky is such a talented tutor, my daughter had an English teacher at school that was focusing too much on the negative. She and my son had had lessons with Vicky before (in yr6) so I felt confident she’d be the perfect person to give my daughter (yr10) the boost she needed. She had weekly lessons with Vicky up until going through her GCSEs and the change in her attitude towards learning and also her confidence in her own abilities has been seriously dramatic in the last few months. Now she’s actually really looking forward to getting her GCSE results!! I’ve already put my son on Vicky’s list to give him a boost as he starts yr11. I’ll be forever grateful and can’t recommend Vicky enough, education is so important and Vicky teaches in a patient and empowering way!

Richard has been great with my daughter. She isn’t the most confident mathematician but Richard has been working patiently with her and I am starting to see her confidence being to grow. I would definitely recommend Mr.C’s.

Mr C was an excellent tutor. He was very welcoming and my daughter enjoyed all her lessons with him. He made lessons fun for her - we still play some of the games he taught her - and he was very good at explaining topics that she found difficult. She retained all the information he gave her. He was happy to tailor classes according to her needs. He was also very generous in terms of his time and with work materials as well. I highly recommend him.

I have a child diagnosed with ADHD. Richard was accommodating, a pleasure to deal with, friendly and professional and my kid bounced into every lesson with a positive attitude. I genuinely couldn’t recommend Richard enough. I’d give him 10 stars if I could. Oh and he got my kid to pass the Kent test with flying colours. Will definitely return to try to get my younger kid to also be tutored by him in the coming years.

A rare find; if you are looking for a reputable tutor, I cannot recommend Sunnydene enough! I have complete faith in Jeni’s understanding of the system and test papers. I would highly recommend Jeni from Sunnydene! My daughter was preparing for the Kent test and my friend had recommended Jeni for Mock tests (we already had a tutor by this point). The mock tests ran very smoothly, the feedback was very helpful and valuable. We focused on the feedback provided and the second mock test result showed a massive improvement on my daughter’s scores! Being relatively new to Kent I found the whole selective system and Kent Test process somewhat overwhelming, but Jeni completely demystified it and made it all feel more manageable. Our son not only didn't complain about her tutoring sessions but actively looked forward to them! Marolyn is an excellent tutor. My daughter came to her late in the year and was behind following lockdown. Marolyn quickly assessed where she needed help and worked hard to get her to level she needed to be at.
