We had James and Murphy in for two weeks (with Liam supervising) putting in some raised decking in the back garden. They were extremely considerate of us and our neighbours at all times, and kept us fully informed about the progress of the work, even when we didn't ask. Our garden has restricted access so some of the aspects of deliveries were complicated but this was handled seamlessly. Their quality of work is very good and they involved us when decisions needed to be made, giving advice but leaving it ultimately up to us. They left the space incredibly tidy when they left, and it looks like we have a completely new garden! They were one of the best contractor teams we've had working on the house.

FirstLight Landscaping are a good company to work with when you're looking for a competent landscaping company that can project manage really well. We were looking to refresh the garden, as how we use the space is functionally different than the previous owners of our home. With FLL's designs (via Neal), we were able to discuss and alter them as often as we needed. When we eventually got to the work actually beginning (on Liam's side), their team were really flexible, and allowed us to add or change things in the design when we realised other needs for the space. Also, Ian and Rich, who worked on-site for the duration of the project, were lovely people who did great work, and knew a lot from their own experience, that helped inform when there were potentially better design choices. Overall, FLL are a trustworthy company, and I'd be happy to use their services again if the chance came up.

We had an absolutely brilliant experience working with the FirstLight team. After being disappointed by several companies Neal really took on board what we wanted. The team (headed up by Dave) were informative throughout, even keeping me up to date while I was away on holiday. Incredibly clean and tidy at the end of each working day. Any changes we made were taken onboard without any fuss. The quality of workmanship is clear to see and we now have a beautiful back garden that we can really enjoy and show off. FirstlightLandscaping first built our raised decking 14 years ago so when it needed replacing we didn’t hestitate to contact them again. As before Liam, Neal & their team were so respectful & professional & did a fantastic job replacing our wooden decking for composite. There were a few hiccups with the delivery of materials from a third party but we were kept informed all the time. Fantastic job done, very happy with the results. Professionally done would highly recommend. Reduced our Beech tree by around 25 foot but left in a nice shape. Removed all cuttings & tidied up very well. Very friendly to deal with and had no issues at all.

Slow to review. Apologies. Evoke designed and then constructed our garden. From arrival to departure they were professional in every way. An eye for detail brought many pleasing touches to the design. Their portfolio of work reflects their expertise. They did not let us down. Year upon year we will be able to enjoy what they brought to us. They delivered on time (and even came back to tackle a snag list). Refreshing.

My wife and I are extremely happy with the detailed, measured and efficient work of Jon and Stuart with our garden work. We needed fencing, landscaping and a shed base constructing. My wife and I are always cautious about whether work will be undertaken to a high standard but Jon and Stuart have taken it to the next level. The work was undertaken during three consecutive days and within the time parameters they had set. They were hard-working, organised and always very polite. We will no doubt be requesting their help again with future work and have no doubts about recommending them to our friends and family. Once the shed is up and built, the next stop would be.. I love gardening but in the last 3 or 4 years I felt our garden was lacking something. I had ideas as to what I wanted to do with it but couldn’t put those ideas together and for the last few years for various reasons, Alan and I weren’t able to spend much time gardening. We decided we needed a total revamp. Then along came Johnny & Stu who injected some life and magic giving us a garden we could enjoy again - it makes us smile every time we look at it. Johnny & Stu put together two well thought-out concept designs based on our brief and after open discussion gave us the overall design we were looking for. In creating the garden, they worked tirelessly through wet & windy weather with a very heavy clay soil - they worked like trojans showing care & consideration for our needs & requirements. They were always punctual, turning up no matter the weather conditions. Their attention to detail was important to us and they did not disappoint. Both were very professional but easy to get along with. They are very capable plantsmen but it was great for me (Sally) to be able to accompany them to the nursery to choose plants. Roy was fantastic ! Our fence had blown down in the bad storms we had recently, I called Roy after researching fencers in Leeds and he came up as one of the the highest rated. Roy was very polite and helpful, you can tell that he is very experienced and gave me sound advise on how he is going to do the repairs and gave me a very reasonable quote. The work was completed timely and without any mess, Roy is very hardworking he was working in sub zero temperatures and into the night just so he can get the work completed for me, I would have no hesitation employing Roy again. Definitely the right man for the job !

One of my fencing panels had blown completely off, so i contacted Hemingway fencing and they called out the next day gave me a great price as it was only a fix up job and completed the work later on that day. Work was carried out very attentively, neatly with no fuss. Was very happy from start to finish. Roy was very friendly, kind and respectful. Just seemed a genuine guy. I WOULD DEFINITLY RECOMMEND TO ANYONE, and i will be using Hemingway fencing again in the future. ★★★★★🖒
