We’ve had Alex in to complete various joinery works on our self build and have been really impressed with all his work. He’s done internal finish joinery, from kitchen fitting to bespoke shelving, as well as a large hardwood deck. The quality of workmanship is fantastic, he is knowledgable and without doubt the hardest working person we’ve had throughout the project. I would recommend Alex to anyone.

Alex has done 2 jobs over the past 3 years. He first remodelled our downstairs loo doing both the plumbing and joinery (panelling, boxing in and new boiler cupboard). Secondly, he has just done an excellent job replacing the decking in our back garden including all the supporting joists. I found A J Joinery on google. I asked Jim to price up the installation of 5 oak doors. Quote provided was competitive and in line with trade rates. Jim installed the doors to an excellent standard. Jim has at least 40 years experience, which reflects the quality of work delivered. Very efficient and will definitely use his services again.

This is the second time we have used Jim and it wont be the last. He is professional, exceptionally talented and keeps a clean work space. He built some custom cupboards and shelves in our alcoves. They are exactly what we asked for.

Jim came when he said and dealt with a door that was jamming. It was only a small job but he was utterly professional and solved the problem quickly and at a reasonable price. I would recommend him , especially to anyone who is careful who they let into their home. Will definitely use him again should the need arise.

Jim supplied and fitted a staircase handrail, an external hardwood door sill, some skirting board and he repaired and re- hung a picket gate for me. He has made an excellent job of all of the work and I will definitely be using him again.

We have had two jobs done with CHC, a full kitchen refurbishment, then full front room/dining room make over including full room panelling, book case and display cabinets. Initially we thought that having hand built custom designed kitchen furniture would be out of our budget, yes it was a little more expensive than the likes of Wickes etc, but the quality of all materials and the build is just incomparable and built to last. We are 3 years on and the kitchen still looks brand new We were so pleased with the kitchen, that we invited Jonathan to quote for the living room dining room using his ‘budget’ range as the furniture we wanted would not have heavy traffic. Jonathan’s quote was competitive but it’s worth noting that his budget range materials are far superior to the other quotes we received, additionally you get Jonathan’s wealth of knowledge, craftsmanship and attention to detail, which can’t be under estimated. Through his many years experience of working for larger companies, Jonathan easily and quickly understood the style, finish and quality that we wanted to achieve Jonathan and his team are always polite, professional and really do go the extra mile to ensure his customers are happy Highly recommended !
