Tim is the best and most trustworthy car mechanic I have ever had! Now I know why so many people I know recommended him. He explains things in a simple and logical way. His prices are fair, he is generous with advice and takes the time to talk to customers. I can't recommend him highly enough. Lovely family business with Tim's wife and also his dad working in the business.

Tim is still there, with his one-man operation, with his wife Sarah often dealing with admin. They're both great, lovely, genuine people, who always go the extra mile to help. Tim is a fantastic mechanic and after many years of my being a customer, there has never been a problem he couldn't resolve.

My goto garage of choice. For the last ten years I have taken my Toyota there to be taken care of. Every visit I am always happy with the quality of work, impressed by the staff who treat me well and not once have I ever felt the prices were unfair. I've just had a tricky to diagnose issue (I had no clue), they found it, fixed it, charged a great price and were super accomodating making sure I was able to collect it despite my tricky schedule. Absolutely fabulous.

We have been going here for a long time for all our vehicles, always get great service from them, no matter if it's an MOT or some kind of breakdown, they always manage to squeeze me in at a time suited to me and always at a fair price. Needed a new tyre while in the area & AA patrol suggested Plume Tyres. Short wait as busy (a good sign - not a complaint) & while they didn't have my usual make in stock, a mid range was fitted quickly & at a very good price. Pleased with the recommendation & that I managed to stay away from the big chains while in an area away from home.

Great service and prices. I have only good things to say about this garage. Discs and pads replaced all round on my golf GTI recently with Brembo parts for less than the parts only at Volkswagen. Service on my sons Renault Clio for 1/3rd of the price at Renault and they did it next day. We need to support the independent guys.

Brandon the young shop assistant in Halfords twas extremely helpful when I went I. To purchase a car cover, he did all the research online and checked all the measurements for me as I didn’t have my glasses, he also signed me up for the Halfords car scheme to enable a £5 discount, I would never have bothered but he typed in all the details on my behalf. I had a problem with my battery light on my dashboard. Knew I needed a new battery. this was fitted efficiently even though there was a problem with a nut. With the help of your garage this problem was overcome and a vehicle health check was done. Would definitely use Halfords again and because I upgraded to a yearly plan I get a free MOT next time. The man who served me had very curly dark hair and he is a credit to your company.

The whole team went out of their way to make my visit enjoyable. The desk staff were very helpful when booking for a Dashcam to be changed. The technician went out of his way to advise me and carried out the fitting without fuss. He went through its operation and did a cracking job. And the coast was great too !

Needing to make a rapid purchase of child car seat in order to pick up grandma and toddler, I headed to Halfords Shirley. It was raining and I was running out of time. Bought the seat and jokingly asked if fitting service was available. Amanda responded with a No but can give you a demo. Great, I said let's do it! First seat didn't work, (my car was the problem). All change, the second seat went in like a dream. All paid up and on my way out, asked to pay for the fitting but denied and said I'd write a review instead. Here it is: I cannot recall a better customer service event of this standard. Amanda excelled in all aspects of the transaction, research and fitting. A definite candidate for Employee-of-the-year and a perfect example of "Doing it Right." Well Done!

I took my Ford Puma to Bristol Street Motors, Solihull on the 8th of March 2025 for its first M.O.T…..I found the whole team to be excellent & my vehicle was well looked after thoughout the whole of the time it was there.

Having an intermittent electrical fault that prevents a car from starting is a nightmare, especially when the car is eventually taken to a service agent and the fault refuses to reappear. This is what happened with my SMax. On my first visit to Virtu at Shirley, the technicians found the history was riddled with error messages that were cleared, but no sign of the fault reappearing. Sods law prevailed and the next day the fault reappeared. I was asked to return the car as soon as possible for more checks. As I could manage without the car it was left with Virtu for the next five days. Although the fault never appeared, technicians carried out exhaustive checks and being concerned that there may be rodent damage to some cables in the engine bay were stripped, reworked and insulated in areas behind the engine and battery. During all of this time Mobeen, in the reception area kept me fully updated with the findings and obtained my agreement for various work to be carried out. Whilst there is no absolute certainty that the work carried out has resolved the problem, so far it has not reoccurred. The dedication and determination by the technical staff to identify and resolve the problem has been most commendable and the regular contacts and updates from Mobeen confirmed a high level of professionalism. Whilst I don’t think anyone is certain that the problem has been resolved, I doubt that more could have been done by anyone to sort it out. I now have my fingers firmly crossed that it has been and thank Virtu staff for their perseverance.

Halfords as usual provided an honest and professional approach to there servicing and mot centre. Any additional works needed was authorised by myself to carry on with the work. I use Halfords every year as I have no complaints.

I recently had replacement tyres fitted on my car. The tyres were competitively priced as I had researched this online. It is easy to book an appointment online to have work done. The staff are all very pleasant, helpful and the work was done efficiently and quickly. As this place is on a retail park it’s great to be able to go shopping or for a coffee while the work is being done. I got a telephone call when my car was ready for collection. All round a great service.
