Can’t recommend this vets enough. I had an appointment tonight for my dog but unfortunately due to him being unwell had to cancel 45 minutes before hand and the staff were so lovely about it. Rescheduled there and then and managed to work with me to sort the time around my working hours. Nothing is ever too much for Pool House Vets. All of the vets and reception staff are lovely especially Amy! Always so helpful, kind, caring and understanding, nothing is ever too much for them! They’re so passionate about their job and it really shows :) In these very uncertain times they have the best procedure in place and I would happily leave my dog with anyone here and I know he will be safe and looked after. Well done guys and thank for everything!

This is by far the best vets we have used. Our previous vets don’t match up to the standard and care you get from mere green pool house vets practices. From the team on reception to the vets themselves are all professional and welcoming. We know Our 3 kittens are in good hands when they visit.

We cannot thank James Horner Vets enough for the incredible care and compassion they have shown towards our beloved dog. Having had a cat that has had problems for several years now and not been sorted out, I changed vets to here and have had such good care for my girlie with diagnostic tests explored and explained fully by the lovely committed vet Megan who spent time and effort trying to solve the issues my cat has and not just prescribing medications to mask the real cause for her discomfort and distress at times. I’m very happy and my cat is more relaxed here than she has ever been at a vets surgery before. She isn’t meowing on the way there in protest anymore and coming back hungry and happy after a consultation. Thank you Megan for being so attentive and caring. Much appreciated!!! An update is my cat has had further tests including a scan on her abdomen and X-rays which sadly have revealed a problem with her liver which unfortunately cannot be cured. I and my beautiful girlie have had support and compassion from the team including James. Very sad but thankful for a local vet that opens Saturday morning too as I had to go in for emergency medication. Would definitely recommend them.

We recently changed our vets to James Horner for our young cavapoo Blue. It was a big decision for us to make but we needed help. What a wonderful vets they are, all the team from front of house reception, nursing staff and vets were lovely. It was a real breath of fresh air. Holly, the vet that looked after us and Blue was exceptional, kind, caring,compassionate and professional at the same time. She put us at our ease and listened to our concerns and made a real effort to get to know Blue. A real independent vets with the personal touch that is so important. We highly recommend James and his team. It is the small touches and details too that set this veterinarian practice apart.

Thank you so much to Kat and the rest of the JH team for the compassion and patience shown to us as a family this week when we sadly had to put our dog to sleep. He was handled with such care in his final moments by Kat, and throughout the past 6 months by the whole team since we registered him with this practice. Amazing staff. Adopted my very loving lurcher in December, and she had to have dental work. They kept both me and her calm. Aftercare brilliant. Answered all my questions. I had to change my appointment. Not an issue! Highly recommended.

Excellent vets, used for many years for both cats and my dog. They listen to any concerns and always do a thorough examination when required. Staff are friendly and it always feels welcoming. Never have an issue to get an appointment, and the few occasions we've had an emergency, it has been dealt with in an exceptional manner. Highly recommend.

This place is absolutely 5 stars and more! Our bunny broke her jaw and our own vets could not do anything for her, someone was looking down on us when we got transferred to Manor Vets Edgbaston. Mikel her vet is an absolute genius and the kindest man we have ever met, he goes above and beyond to help and honestly we would not thank him enough! He always remained positive and nothing was too much trouble, she would not be here without him. The nurse Faye is the sweetest person, equally as compassionate and caring and helped not only with our bunny taking great care of her but made us feel so at ease, such a lovely person. The reception staff, well it’s safe to say we spent a lot of time with these ladies on our trip weekly visits for 3 months, they are kind, compassionate and just great people and we enjoyed there company! Our bunny is now all fixed because of these great people and she will be staying at this vets for any future treatment and her vaccinations, thank you guys, you really are the best x Highly highly highly recommend this vets!

Highly highly reccomend this practice for their exotic vet care for rodents from my experience. Receptionists are fantastic, very knowledgable and experienced vets, extremely transparent & offer all treatment options. My hamster unfortunately passed, and they treated me and her with such kindness even for a pet some people deem lesser, they laid her in a box ready for burial with a flower. I cannot thank this practice and their staff enough.

Fantastic vets, especially Jack and Mikel, and nursing staff, especially Mandy. Reception staff are also extremely helpful and supportive. I would recommend this team to anyone who has rabbits. The team is so knowledgeable and also happy to educate owners to better manage and understand their rabbits needs.

The vets at this centre are amazing highly recommend to take any animal there. We take our injured wildlife birds that comes into my brother rescue and they are amazing with them they decide if it’s best to be put to sleep or to come back into the rescue and live a happy life. They never put animal small or big to sleep if it’s not recommended. Best veterinary practice in Birmingham definitely worth going

I've been going here for many years with various cats and have always been more than happy with their friendly attitude and professional expertise. Took my little cat in today as she wasn't well and Marcus quickly found an abscess that we hadn't seen even though we had been checking her. Had jabs and by the time we got her home she was looking for food. Great outcome.

Really friendly and professional. It take my dog a little bit of time to get used to new people but straight away he felt comfortable with all staff members he encountered. We've now been a couple of times and every time they've been helpful, calm, friendly and answered any and all questions.

Had to take our cat Brian as an emergency to Blaise as he had licked a caustic substance and burnt his mouth he couldn’t eat or drink and was in pain, the care he received was faultless would highly recommend, kept up to date at all times by vet Lucy who was excellent and Thankyou to Taylor the nurse for showing us how to look after Brian at home till he was fully recovered

Really good Vets. Spent the time actually explaining what is wrong with my dog in detail, and then various treatments, risks, pros and cons of each option. Highly recommend! Fairly priced too, open until late and 7 days a week! UPDATE: Unfortunately our dog has had to be euthanised, he was an old boy, almost 15 years old! The vets was amazing, compassionate, gave us plenty of time to say goodbye, they organised the cremation, which was cheaper than going direct to some that I found online. We chose to have the ashes back and they came in a lovely box with a sympathy card which they’d taken a print of his paws! 100% recommend this vets!

I have unfortunately had to use the vets recently for a planned operation on my westie as well as a post surgery injury. I can honestly say that all the staff at the Solihull branch are second to none. They all show compassion, empathy, are extremely professional. I have been with Medivet Solihull for many many years and am so well acquainted with the practice that the staff sadly know when its me on the phone. I have stayed with the practice for such a length of time due to the nurses / front of house staff who have remained the same over the years. Cassie the Vet Nurse is exceptional - she 100% gets the love we have for our pets. Everything she handles is done with the upmost professionalism and care. Fiona is also fantastic and is always very helpful & lovely. I have recently had 2 surgeries for my dogs at the practice and both times I felt confident that they were in the best hands. Thank you both! The new vets/partners, Eduardo & Dimitra are very much welcomed, it is great to have permanent vets on board and it makes the continuity of care and advise much easier to follow. Eduardo is absolutely amazing!!! We are now proud owners of a Preloved dog and we needed to get him registered quickly, the online system was quick and easy, they had an appointment available but we had to bring our children with us, he was patient and fantastic with our kids and our new dog. When we visited again because our dog needed an urgent appointment on the day they saw us incredibly quickly. Eduardo took his time explaining everything to us, answered all my questions easily and was again absolutely fantastic!! I left feeling a lot lighter, a lot more reassured, and more confident.

I visited Medivet because I found a hedgehog in our garden that looked a little unwell. I took it there for some help, not knowing what to do. It turned out the hedgehog wasn’t unwell but maybe just a little too hot. They kept him in until I could collect and release him back into the wild. I think this is incredible in a world where no one does anything for free. I received updates about his health over the two days he was there. Given the amount of information and care provided, I would 100% use this vet if I had a pet. Thank you so much!
