Met some friends here for NYE and besides 3 other people we were the only patrons. I can’t judge the pub on any real merit as it was dark, torrential rain and gailforce winds. My car went under 3 feet of water just down the lane from the pub as it was so wet and cold I didn’t realise I was driving into a flood. Water was pouring into their carpark too, which was concerning! However, despite the lack of customers on NYE they still had a DJ playing music and Karaoke and still had a countdown, which I appreciated!
Great selection of food and drinks, bar service good, great relaxing atmosphere, ample inside / outside seating, disappointed with meal service though, having to wait over 1 hour from ordering to it arriving at the table, the food was very good with generous portions. We will visit again and hopefully the food order will arrive a little quicker.
Great local pub that is very dog friendly. Open fire. Cosy and very welcoming. Highly recommended.
