This was our second ‘family’ visit to this highly popular gastro pub based in Honley, near Holmfirth. We’d booked for four people but when five of us turned up, they very easily found a table big enough for us without any fuss. The drinks order was taken and delivered very promptly. The cask bitter from Wainwrights brewery was excellent and was the wine, gin and diet cokes! We orders pink sirloin of beef x 3, a venison and a pork…. All with Yorkshire puddings and vegetables with gravy. All came out quickly and piping hot. We had cheese cake for desert. All the food and service was excellent. The price was very reasonable too. We shall return. This place is highly recommended and hugely popular with a great atmosphere and great friendly staff! 😉👍

Not been for many years, but so glad we came back as a family. Very welcoming and very helpful too. We did not book, but they found us a table for 4, for our friday evening meal. Very good quality and not rushed either. Would highly recommend, and will be returning

Another visit with friends and never disappoints… sea bass was milky and perfectly cooked. Fish pie is apparently better than mine 😳 cheeky… I would always recommend visiting to eat. Fabulous..
