Just had a meal at The Old Mill, we were serviced by Jake who I've got to say was brilliant, first class service from start to finish. The food was really good & we sat by the fire, the atmosphere was perfect & very relaxing, would definitely recommend. All the staff seemed well trained & very friendly so thankyou The Old Mill. We are staying in room 6 for two nights & the room is very clean & equipped with everything you need. I think we've chosen well.

4th time to travel from Portsmouth to visit the pub & dining with 4 friends, one already visited the place prior including myself but 2 companion’s 1st time seeing the beautiful place. The entrance is so enchanting and friends were impressed by its sophisticated decor and stylish interior. The one served us named Jack is so accommodating, friendly and engaging towards us and our needs making sure we were content not just with the food but just by being there. 100% great service and he was such an asset to that place, staff with great demeanour to customers should be promoted. One of our favourite place to visit!

Not the Sunday lunch experience we were expecting so a few notes for future visitors. Don’t sit too close to the fire as the smoke will get you when people exit the door and leave it open. Check your order is correct and nothing is missing. If you order pork, expect more fat than meat. Even if you have a later booking time, expect a 45min wait to receive your meal. Otherwise the food and service is very good.

We were booked in for a one night stay which was adjusted to a two stay as soon as we saw the place .Everything was first class from the room to the excellent staff that made our stay so stress free and relaxing. Will be going back to stay again, Excellent . Thank you .

We had a fantastic 3 night stay at the Old Mill. The room was comfy and warm and everything spotlessly clean. The breakfast was fantastic and all arrived piping hot. Be warned, the portions are generous so no lunch required! One of our evening meals was haddock, chips, pea & mint, and tartare sauce, it was simply fabulous! We would not hesitate to book again. Indeed this is great little retreat and a real hidden gem.
