A cozy, friendly pub with great real ales and ciders and real fires. The food is freshly made pizza served from a 'cabin' outside the pub and they are the best pizza we've ever had anywhere.
A truly wonderful pub, so comfortable with a fine selection of both cask and craft ales. Only 5 minutes from Broadbottom 🚂 station so breaking your journey is well recommended (check opening hours before doing so)
I had to write this review straight away, as it was such a pleasure to visit a pub where we were met so warmly, the cask beer range produced in house is excellent ( Tried two & both very drinkable & very reasonably priced ) It was just a shame I had a train to catch otherwise I would have stayed! I will definitely be back & can only recommend! (Trains roughly every half hour from Manchester lovely small beer garden which is a sun trap!
It’s one of the only pubs in the area so for that alone deserves praise. A lovely warm real fire was on when I came in and I was served straight away with a great pint. Amazing beer selection. Only minus points: no children after 8pm, music choice was like stepping back in time (not in a good way)
Amazing pub, great atmosphere, the best prices around, Broadbottom train station is a short walk away, lovely little secluded beer garden, lovely in the summer! Fresh made pizzas to order from the little hut just outside the main doors, would highly recommend.
