We got here just as they opened, after walking stage 7 of the GM Ringway from Marple. We were met by a friendly server and learned that they brew their own beer. Definitely thinking of another visit, perhaps on the way back from another walk as I'm gutted we were too early for pizza

It’s one of the only pubs in the area so for that alone deserves praise. A lovely warm real fire was on when I came in and I was served straight away with a great pint. Amazing beer selection. Only minus points: no children after 8pm, music choice was like stepping back in time (not in a good way)

I had to write this review straight away, as it was such a pleasure to visit a pub where we were met so warmly, the cask beer range produced in house is excellent ( Tried two & both very drinkable & very reasonably priced ) It was just a shame I had a train to catch otherwise I would have stayed! I will definitely be back & can only recommend! (Trains roughly every half hour from Manchester lovely small beer garden which is a sun trap!

Amazing pub, great atmosphere, the best prices around, Broadbottom train station is a short walk away, lovely little secluded beer garden, lovely in the summer! Fresh made pizzas to order from the little hut just outside the main doors, would highly recommend.

Beautiful atmosphere. Amazing food. We had a Ceaser Salad and the Egg Benedict with Smoked Salmon on Sourdough. People are friendly. Highly recommend this place. Chicken is halal.

Food and drinks are spot on! Salmon comes in generous portions as well as the soup. They’re both flavourful Also they make the best smoothie and milkshakes! Will definitely go back for different menu Service is okay but atmosphere can be loud during peak times

Busy Saturday morning but we was seated quickly. Juices were fresh and food was delicious. Only disappointed was the coffee it tasted like they was form vending machine which was quite surprising.

Me and my wife took our daughters for breakfast this morning. Food was superb, staff very helpful, great atmosphere. Lovely brew and kids had lots of pencils and crayons brought over to draw with. Thank you so much for a great experience, we will be back soon. 😊

I always pop in for a coffee when I'm in the area - lovely staff, fast service and relaxed atmosphere. Found out today you can book a table so it'd be a great place for business meetings!

What a nice place to come, have breakfast and relax. This is my first time here and it was a nice ambiance. The food and coffee were amazing. We had the pleasure of having Kate and Laura assist us. They were very attentive. I definitely recommend this place if you’re ever in to Manchester.

Came for brunch this morning and have to do a special shout out to Abbi, who was so accommodating and lovely! I'm 35 weeks pregnant and she went above and beyond and even though it was so busy, she found me somewhere to sit whilst waiting and even made sure I got a suitable table plus providing service with a smile! The food and coffee was fab too!

It was my first time visiting and it definitely will not be my last! Me & my partner were seated quickly with a warm welcome and explained the menu and how to order. The bloody Mary’s were to die for, possibly the best I’ve ever had! The food was fresh and delicious and always served with a smile, worth every penny!

Went for brunch today at Ezra & Gil (Helper and Happiness) Hilton Street Manchester. Our server was Kate, she was very helpful and let us change scrambled eggs for poached on 1 of the brunch orders. We asked for the drinks to come with the food so you don't get the drinks first, and then have to order more she was very concerned if we had any allergies, which was excellent. We ordered French toast which was amazing, and 2 breakfasts, the scrambled eggs were the best my wife has ever had and my poached eggs were nice and runny, the food came quickly and was very well cooked and hot Dog friendly always a bonus, lots of high chairs were also available for young families, great mix of customers, both old and young, you can also buy their products , coffee beans and bread, takeaway also available, recommend checking this establishment out, you can also get alcohol .

Absolutely lovely place , the staff were welcoming and attentive without being over the top. The food was delicious, so much so we both ended up having three courses, we couldn't say no to dessert even though we were stuffed. We would definitely go back x

Tonight was our first visit to this restaurant, the service, the food, the atmosphere was fantastic. By the far the best food we have eaten in a restaurant in a long time. We could not believe how busy it was only just got a table at 5.00pm on a friday as we were leaving it was packed. A little gem and will be back for certain. Not the cheapest but the food was amazing 🤩

A vibrant, bright, clean and friendly atmosphere awaits. The service was brilliant and the food exceptional. Would highly recommend abbraccio to anyone looking for a fantastic Italian at a reasonable price. Everything was fresh and tasty and we had a brilliant time

This was the first time my husband and I had gone to Abbraccio. It was a Friday lunch time. Soon as we walked in we were greeted in a very polite manner. The restaurant looked very nice. There was a very chilled atmosphere. All the staff were ever so lovely and very very helpful. As I have ceoliac disease I don't really eat out much. I was so impressed with the gluten free options. There was so much to choose from and the staff were on hand to help too. we had an amazing meat platter for starters and we both went for pizza for our main, mine being gluten free of course. The food is amazing. To finish with we both had a dessert which again was lovely. I cant recommend this place enough. You have to go and try it. It's worth every penny. We will definately be going again.

I had a fantastic experience during my first visit to this place. I absolutely fell in love with it! The staff members were incredibly friendly and helpful, and their warm and welcoming attitude greatly enhanced my overall experience. Additionally, the coffee I had was absolutely delightful, and the pain aux raisins was a true delight. I can't wait to return!

Long time customer of Mike's cafe. Has undergone great development over the years with constantly refreshed food/drink offerings. It is impossible to not be befriended by at least one of the staff, every iteration of employees has been great as the next Fantastic work spot, just as much as a place to dine. Also recommended if you enjoy seeing dogs

Very pleasant stop for light meals and coffee.

I came here for a coffee and it was really good, nice Barista coffee and tasted much better than the usual coffee chains. I came another time for lunch with my mum and the salads here are pretty good. They change and you can choose whichever you want, I had chickpeas and caesar with chicken which was great. They also have sandwiches and toasties. The service was great and I liked the calm atmosphere and modern decor. They have soya milk and other non dairy milks which was good. Overall a great coffee house in Ancoats.

Really good Sunday roast - I had the vegan roast and my friend had the beef, and we were very impressed! They didn’t have a table when we first arrived but we could reserve one for 45 minutes time and we went downstairs for a drink first which was also very nice. Quite expensive but very good quality food and drinks. Lovely atmosphere with lots of nice plants. Friendly and professional staff.

I recently visited Evelyn’s in Manchester and enjoyed their vegan zattar mushrooms. The dish was flavorful and well-prepared, making it a solid option for vegan diners. However, I was a bit disappointed that the vegan version is priced the same as the regular option, even though it doesn’t include the egg. Adjusting the price to reflect the reduced ingredients would be a fair improvement. That said, Evelyn’s is a lovely spot to catch up with a friend, especially in the colder months when its warm and cozy atmosphere is particularly inviting. Despite the pricing quibble, it’s a great place to relax and enjoy a meal.

Fast service, friendly staff. We had the ECB Breakfast: full English with a Middle Eastern twist. I also recommend the 0% martini cocktail…a lovely preprandial palate-cleanser.

When we came in it was one of the kitchen staff that needed to ring the bell for the waiters to see and welcome/ seat us. Though the restaurant was nearly empty. They very put us on a small round table. Very uncomfortable. On the other hand food is really good. Tasty and fresh! Really recommend sumac chicken and the humus! Take a bit more care of your customers as you have great scene, fantastic food.

Lovely cafe normally go in for breakfast. The food is always lovely and the service is good. The bench seating is a little uncomfortable and needs new pillows and they have been out of veggie sausages on the last to visit. But would still recommend

The coffee is out of this world!!!! And I want to thank the entire crew for creating such a beautiful and cozy place. A big thank you to Hannie for one of the best flat white I've ever had.

I visited Fig + Sparrow based on the numerous 5* reviews on Google. I came on a Friday at 1pm, and it wasn’t too busy. Perhaps 50% of the place was full. There is a good amount of seating available, and when I arrived, there was a small but delicious-looking selection of pastries and bakes on the counter. There is always a wide variety of drinks available on the menu, and a bar at the back which serves savoury food. I asked the lady if the counter items were baked fresh and if they were vegetarian (halal in my case), and she said they were baked fresh, and suitable for vegetarians and halal foodies! The staff were very inviting. The lady explained what each item was, and she even gave me her personal recommendation. 10/10 for such caring staff :) I ordered a Cinnamon Bun and Latte to eat in. Those buns looked too good to overlook. Also, exceptional presentation of all the bakery items. The Cinnamon Bun was delicious! It was sticky, not too sweet, and full of cinnamon and brown sugar flavour. The Latte was also yummy, and had a lovely pattern on top. Overall, I am very happy I visited Fig + Sparrow, and I will definitely bring my friends next time. This place is too good not to share with others! I would highly recommended this place to those who like coffee shops, and just want to sit and chill :D
