“My mum and I had afternoon tea for 2 people in the lodge area behind the cafe, it was really scenic, warm and cosy, we felt very comfortable and the staff were very welcoming and made you feel as if you were a regular despite it being our first time there. The afternoon tea consisted of a big pot of tea, a sandwich of choice (which was delicious, we had the ham and the egg mayo), salad, lovely crisps and a homemade scone with jam and butter. The scones were served warm and fresh, I couldn't say which was my favorite part as everything was superb. Will definitely come again, it was worth the price!”

“Really nice, unusual venue; basically a modded shipping container! Nice range of snacks and drinks, friendly service and clearly established as a favourite place for a stop off for local bikers. Absolutely loved it, and also being asked by one of the other motorcyclists to move my bike as the chrome tank was blinding him in the brilliant sunshine! A great place for a break, although all the customers there when I visited were motorcyclists I noticed that there were racks for pedal bikes and provision for dogs too. Oh, and the flapjacks are delicious!”

“Exceptional food and service. The steak and onion ciabatta was the best I've ever eaten. But you may have to tolerate sweary locals who just dump their kids on the field outside whilst they enjoy a meal and a drink.”

“Visited a few weeks ago. Very busy & parking difficult. We sat outside but it was lovely and cosy, with the heater on. The lighting was lovely and staff were amazing. What let it down for me and why I wouldn't return was the prices and the food. I spent just over £40 on food for the 3 of us, and one of us is a toddler. I couldn't get over the kids meal, I ordered him a sandwich and it wasn't even a full piece of bread, it was half a piece of bread shaped into a car or something, I can't remember the shape but I was gobsmacked at the portion size and with that was a small portion of Crisps. Kids meals are usually good value for money and I thought the fact that you'd only provided half a sandwich and to charge a fiver or whatever it was, was pretty bad and I think that needs changing. Mine and my partners food were okay but definitely not worth what we paid. My partner was disappointed he wasn't warned the tomatoes were pureed tomatoes with his breakfast as he wouldn't of chosen to have them. I paid for a hot chocolate and milkshake which were expensive and again really nothing special about them, i expected something special for what I paid. The four star rating is due to the lovely staff, the atmosphere and the toilet/bathroom was lovely and clean.”

“I’ve only ever been to federal on Oxford Road but this one is equally amazing. I swear by the French toast !! And I’d never tried a sandwich from there before but the steak sandwich doesn’t disappoint, steak is so perfectly cooked and so tender. The staff are absolutely amazing too !! I think it was the manager that found a table for us to sit at because ours was wobbly!”

“This place under promises on the outside and over delivers on the inside. It looks like your average high street cafe, then you step in to a quirky cool place to eat. Service was perfect & food was 5 star, definitely worth the money. I would recommend this place for breakfast we had the Manc Muffins and they are better than a McDonalds one.”

“13/03/24: had mocha with coconut milk and beef sausage & egg on a white bloomer. Sausage was a little bland, but the bread and coffee were very good. Service was friendly and quick. Also had the cheese & onion omelette on brown seeded toast. That was also very good! I would have liked to have seen a full English on the menu. Parking isn't great, made worse by inconsiderate parkers after we'd arrived! Dog friendly, promptly served with water in a Brewdog bowl! Very thoughtful!”
