My local pub. Can be OK, but today was great. Our server was personable and chatty. My friend had the 3 course lunch set menu, starter, smoked mackerel and horseradish pate with toasted sourdough bread. More than one piece would have been appreciated. Main, low and slow roasted pork belly, and Eton Mess for dessert. I didn't have a starter, skate wing from the main menu, and supposedly tiramasu, just a chocolate mousse with a fabulous brandy base. I didn't have the coffee or cream top. We had a lovely lunch and made extra special by using my loyalty card.
We had Sunday lunch in the pod in the garden. The weather was wet, windy, and chilly, but the pod was still cosy. Food was nice and staff were friendly. Parking is a bit limited.
Visited on a wet bank holiday lunch and ended up having three courses. It's an old pub and the decor is that mixed style where nothing seems to match (it's hard to tell if this is just what it is or by design 🤣). Service was friendly and timely throughout. Our food was really good and definitely beyond expectations. I had the asparagus and crispy duck egg, Guinea Fowl and then the burnt Basque cheesecake. It was all lovely and the presentation was superb. Prices were pretty decent too at about £85 a couple with drinks.
Went to the Red Bull for Sunday lunch for the first time today was greeted with a warm and friendly welcome food service and atmosphere can’t fault it would definitely recommend
During a conversation with a stranger was recommended here. Warmly welcomed. Great atmosphere. Nice staff. Excellent food. Great choices from multiple menus. Had a lovely Sri Lankan Cashew & Squash Curry and was very nice indeed. The Steak one of our party had looked excellent quality and perfectly cooked. Reasonable prices. Will definitely revisit
