Oh my goodness - where do we even begin, I don't think we will ever be able to thank you enough!

From start to finish, Olivia and the team at Southend Barns have been nothing short of perfection. You ensured every single detail was executed flawlessly, and despite storm Darragh making an appearance on our wedding day, you made adjustments and handled it so that we didn't have to worry (Thank you so much for wrapping me in blankets so I didn't get hit by the rain / wind!)

The food, was utterly sublime, so many of my guests have contacted me to compliment the food as well as the decor in the barn - it looked absolutely stunning.

We had the best wedding at Southend and I couldn't recommend it enough!

Wow, wow and wow! Where do we begin to even put into words how incredible Southend Barns were for our wedding.

If you are looking for a gorgeous wedding venue in the South that has it all, you’ve just found it because these guys are at the absolute top of the game and are the best of the best, we are SO pleased we found Southend Barns and chose them to host our wedding.

Southend Barns is such a stunning venue, and so much care goes in to every single inch of the venue, from the gorgeous barns, the outdoor space, the courtyard full of roses and the bridal suite to the grounds, its all kept to such a high standard. From the moment we stepped in to view the venue we fell in love, it has such a calming feel, everything was clean and high quality and this stayed consistent through every visit. We were looked after throughout out planning by the lovely Sophie who made us feel instantly welcome, at ease and she had it all under control, from start to finish she was so lovely and we are so grateful for all her help in the run up to our wedding.

On the day our event manager was the amazing Kelly, who ensured the day ran seamlessly without us needing to do a thing, after months of preparation and crafting this was so appreciated as it meant we could sit back and enjoy the day to its fullest! After meeting Kelly the day before at our handover meeting, we both instantly felt in safe hands and nothing was too much trouble for her.

All of the team on the day from the bar staff, waiting staff, Roots chefs and cleaners all made sure our guests and us were well fed and watered and all our guests commented on how incredible the food was!

We are so grateful to the whole team at Southend Barns for making our dreams come true and helping us to have the day of our lives - not only just for us but for all our friends and family too. It was so special in every way and we are so thankful and pleased we chose Southend Barns for our day.

We recently had the pleasure of getting married at Southend Barns over the Christmas period, and it was incredible.

We were told when venue hunting that you’d know as soon as you found ‘the one’ and we got that feeling immediately during our tour of Southend Barns well over a year ago. The staff (particularly Kelly and Olivia) made us feel welcome and looked after straight away. The whole process of wedding planning went so smoothly and felt completely professional from start to finish. The venue staff were always available and responsive to any queries we had in the lead up to the wedding, and we had multiple planning sessions/ catch ups to make sure the day went without a hitch.

Roots catering were simply exceptional. The menu-tasting evening was fantastic for getting a feel of the venue all dressed up, and we felt spoilt for choice with the selection of amazing food available. Our only regret was not being able to pick it all! Our guests commented that it was the best wedding food they’d ever had!

On the day, Kelly and the team had the events running like a well oiled machine. Considering we’d not been to tonnes of wedding previously, and there were multiple things we were unsure of for the actual running/timings of the day, the team delivered on their promise of us “not having to look at a clock all day”. People were gently herded and directed exactly where they needed to be and when. If there ever was any issues such as spillages or smashed glassware, these were handled calmly and discreetly.

Our guests were simply gushing about the venue, and we were so happy it turned out the way it did for a winter wedding. It’s such a versatile venue that looks just as stunning and cosy on a sunny summers day as it does on a slightly windy and drizzly cold winters day like ours. The venue is completely able to handle large numbers of guests (we had 90 for the day and 120 for the evening) without feeling too crowded.

All in all, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this venue to anybody. Our winter wedding was simply magical and completely stress free thanks to the amazing staff.

Our wedding day was without a doubt the best day of our lives and we owe a significant proportion of that to Southend Barns!

There’s not enough words that can describe how amazing Southend barns is as a wedding venue. We were lucky enough to have Olivia as our wedding event manager from the first meeting right through to the day itself and she blew us both away with how amazingly she managed everything for us. Southend barns have a truly personalised service which makes you feel so special, even though they are incredibly busy and managing many weddings it never felt like that! Olivia gave us the most perfect day, working with all our suppliers and ensuring everything ran seamlessly so we could truly enjoy and soak up every moment. The venue is absolutely beautiful, I’ll never forget the emotions I felt seeing the barn set up for our wedding breakfast and the ceremony room the morning of my wedding - it was pure joy to see our wedding vision come to life by the incredibly talented event team! The food and drinks service was also incredible, we received non stop compliments from guests. We truly can’t thank Southend Barns enough for the experience they gave us, we would HIGHLY recommend the wedding venue and wish we could do it all over again!!

We have now been married a week and I wanted to leave a review to let people know exactly how amazing a venue this is. The site itself is stunning and impeccably maintained in beautiful surroundings and very welcoming. This was only the second place we looked at and we knew straight away that this was the place we would be married. The team were all fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. Olivia was the lady that took on our big day and her communication and attention to detail make her a credit to Southend barns. The in-house Roots catering team did a spectacular job at feeding us and all of our guest commented on how good the food was. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking to get married, it’s a day I will never forget. Thank you so much Olivia and SEB!
