We have just had our wedding at The White Barn in South Petherton. To start with the venue is absolutely gorgeous and it ticks every box! Its new style but old barn theme is just what we wanted. It has incredible in door and out door spaces and lots of different spots you can marry in. You can see the venue online and see what i mean! The main part of the day I wanted to mention was our wedding planner Ashleigh! He is new to the barn but HOLY S**T hes good! I don’t know how he has the energy to go like he does but hes an endless bag of magic! He was on hand all night and the whole build up to the wedding. He made us feel heard and safe leaving our wedding in his hands. Im abit of a control freak and need to know every detail and he let me feel comfortable enough to release the reins and let him do what he does best. And he did! The bar and kitchen staff were also all fantastic and friendly.. i honestly cant fault anyone or anything. I recommend anyone to get married here and if you have a choice on wedding planners… you definitely dont want to miss out on Ash!! Xx

We would highly recommend the white barn as a wedding venue, we had the most amazing wedding planner who did everything he possibly could to make sure everything was perfect. Ash was always on standby and replied so quickly with any questions or concerns we had. Our wedding was bittersweet with the recent passing of my dad and ash made sure he was still a huge part of the day and was so supportive when things became emotionally difficult. The biggest thank you to Beth and her team for pulling out all the stops to making it the most incredible day for us. There was no request to little or too large and the excitement and enthusiasm Beth had for our ideas to make our day as unique as us was truly wonderful and I couldn’t have asked for anyone better to be our wedding planner. Having the option of using the onsite cafe and florist for our food and flowers also made the task of organising these aspects so much easier! Holly at Frogmary Flowers was amazing- the flowers, bouquets and button holes were perfect. As for the food from Farm and Field Cafe, our guests still talk about how good it was now- 6 months on. On the 4th of November 2023, we celebrated our special day at The White Barn, and we couldn't have been happier with the entire experience. We always felt confident that everything was in capable hands. Our food was provided by the Farm & Field café on site and it was absolutely gorgeous! The food was not only delicious but beautifully presented. The wonderful Beth, Dani, Millie and their fabulous team worked tirelessly to ensure every aspect of our wedding day went smoothly. From the ceremony to the reception, their expertise and attention to detail were evident. We were able to relax and enjoy our day, knowing that everything was being taken care of. The White Barn were so flexible and open to our ideas; they made every effort to accommodate our vision for the day. Whether it was customising the menu or adjusting the layout of the space, they were committed to making our wedding uniquely ours. Choosing The White Barn was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. The venue's gorgeous setting (I still cannot believe how lucky we were to have the flower meadow looking SO gorgeous in November), combined with the outstanding service provided by the staff, created a day that exceeded our dreams. Oh my gosh, where to begin, Katie (Style and Wonder) was an absolute dream to have as our wedding planner. She was reassuring and calm when we were feeling stressed and creative and inspiring when we needed ideas. Nothing was too much to ask for, she was friendly and organised and always on hand for any random questions we had, we really felt supported during the whole wedding process. In regards to styling our wedding looked even better than we could have imagined. She took our ideas initially and the styling matched exactly what we had asked for. We are beyond grateful to Melanie for the incredible work and dedication she put into planning our wedding at Came House earlier this year. From our introductory call until our wedding, Melanie went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly on the day. Melanie’s attention to detail is unmatched. To give one of many examples: without request from us, Melanie remembered my sensitivity to mosquito bites from an earlier conversation and arranged mosquito plugs to be placed in the bridal suite. Melanie always responded promptly to our questions/emails, often late at night or over weekends. She was incredibly patient and always put us at ease. We worked with Melanie for our wedding at Came House last year, and can honestly say she is one fantastic woman and the best wedding planner we could have hoped for. We cannot recommend this venue highly enough! We got married last month (March 2024) at the St Peter's Church (right there on the estate), followed by reception in the Tithe barn. It was stunning whatever the weather, and the perfect choice if you are going more winter/out of the summer season, because the barn was so cosy. Gail was incredible throughout and in all honesty, we really didn't have to do a lot - the venue has so much character of its own, it's all any of our guests could talk about! We will be thinking about the day and the estate for a long time! Couldn't have picked a better venue.

I cannot recommend this venue highly enough, our wedding here was absolutely perfect. The barn itself is lovely but the real gem is the outdoor space - it’s stunning and there is so much of it! We had a stunning ceremony in the middle garden, drinks reception in the sunken garden and then the walled garden just outside the barn made a beautiful extension for our reception. We were given the freedom to make our vision come true and it was just incredible. Gail was a saint throughout the entire booking and planning process, and was a godsend on the day! The cottages are wonderful too, they are well worth their money. The pub down the road was the perfect place for the evening before for a big family meet up as well as a more intimate wedding party breakfast the following morning. Having the venue for the whole 3 days was just amazing - we were never rushed and we had the time to do what we wanted and needed to do. The flexibility with everything was just fantastic, I am so so glad we chose this beautiful venue, it was perfect. Thank you so much :)

We got married at HSM Estate in September and it was a truly wonderful day, it is difficult to adequately describe what a perfect venue it is - photos truly don't do it justice. Our wedding ceremony was held on the grounds behind the Tithe Barn and we had our meal and reception inside the barn, but there is so much else here to see - the grounds are large and full of character, and different areas for guests to explore and enjoy. We were lucky to have perfect weather, however this venue would be magical in any conditions. We were looking for a dry hire venue which we could really make our own, and HSM was exactly what we wanted. The building is beautiful, and has practical elements such as a stage (with curtain), a mezzanine with sofas, a small kitchen and large side area where caterers can set up - and REALLY nice toilets (recently refurbished) - the management at this venue are great at listening to and acting on feedback, and are always adding details and changing elements where they can, to keep the venue at the highest possible standard and with ease of functionality. Our point of contact for viewing the venue, Gail, was also hired as our wedding coordinator. She really went above and beyond for us, from the initial viewing of the venue, to the additional visits afterward, right through to the final planning stages and of course the day itself. She has amazing knowledge of the venue and the history, which really added so much to the experience and made it so much more than just a venue. In addition to the venue itself, there is some accommodation on-site which is brilliant for bridal party / groomsmen or whoever you need to be close by. It was great to be able to get ready and walk out to the ceremony, no transport required. The cottages are also gorgeous and well supplied. We couldn't recommend this place enough as a wedding venue, it was everything we wanted and so much more, and our guests all had a wonderful day. 5 stars is not enough!

After two years of planning with Gail as our main contact at Hinton St Mary we got married in April 2024, we had a truly wonderful wedding. Gail was phenomenal and very good with her recommendations throughout our planning. All our recommended suppliers knew the venue well making our planning easier. The venue was dry hire , many of our guests travelled from near and far so we made use of the venue from Friday to Sunday. The blank canvas of the barn was turned into something of our own which we decorated with fairy lights , rustic tables and chairs and greenery. The band played from the stage allowing a large dance floor below , the kitchen and toilets were great and easy to access. Other bonuses of the venue is St Peter’s church is just a few 100 meters from the venue and easy access for all guests . Accommodation onsite is available to the bridal party and those who need to stay on site , we found the accommodation to be very comfortable and convenient all weekend. We couldn’t recommend Hinton St Mary highly enough as a wedding venue.

We were planning an outdoors wedding and Georgi at Scarlett Rose Events was extremely accommodating when we only wanted to hire sashes for our chairs. Georgi was so friendly to talk to when we were organising it and I felt like that part of our wedding decor was in safe hands. When the British weather decided to give us rain on our wedding day, Georgi stepped in last minute and allowed us to move our wedding inside and provided the most beautiful wedding arch dressed for our ceremony. It looked amazing and can only thank Georgi for coming to our rescue and creating such a beautiful wedding space. I would 100% recommend Georgi if you are after decor and set up for your event. The only reason why we didn’t hire more items from Georgi is because we just didn’t need it but her stock looks beautiful.

We chose Stockbridge farm barn for our wedding after viewing a number of options from the Dorchester museum to various hotels and beyond. We ended up selecting Stockbridge farm barn as from the moment we saw it we knew it was the one for us, the rustic setting, the quite surroundings and the floral colours matched our theme perfectly. Cherry was hugely accomodating throughout the process if we wanted to visit for planning no problem, had a question for recommending a supplier, she had a book of hem, need high chairs, just ask. Price wise Stockbridge isn't the cheapest, but there is flexibility as you can then select the suppliers you want and also there are some options for staying on site in the form of shepherd huts. If you are thinking of having your wedding here, we do highly recommend staying in the huts, the morning after our wedding when we woke up to have morning coffee, there was a single stag walking across the field and that moment was so tranquil it was perfect. If we were to do our wedding again, there is no doubt in our minds we would choose the barn, however our one section of frustration was there are no toilet facilities included in the price, you have the option of either hiring a shepherd hut style or porta cabin - however in the scheme of things this is minor for how perfect our day was..

We booked our wedding plans well in advance of the current pandemic for 2021 and found Sweet Forrest to provide us with decoration for the venue. Unfortunately, due the pandemic we had to rethink our big day and Sarah at Sweet Forrest was absolutely marvellous to us. She made the whole process very easy, has been very supportive to us and completely professional. When cancelling our plans, Sarah offered us a refund without any hesitation and processed this instantly. We first visted the venue just under a year ago and were blown away by the gorgeous views, chilled atmosphere and the mix of contemporary/rustic charm. Luckily we were able to secure the last available date in 2023 and it certainly lived up to our expectations! We celebrated our wedding at Hope Farm last weekend and had the most fabulous day. Sue and the team were welcoming and attentive, whilst also giving you the space and freedom to decorate and enjoy the venue as you pleased throughout the weekend. The facilities are beautifully finished and we had countless compliments from guests who particularly enjoyed the different areas on the farm to explore in between the main events of the day and not just being stuck inside a stiff hotel/venue.The alpacas and baby goats were a massive hit with our guests - the perfect photobomb for our gorgeous pictures! A beautiful venue with treasured memories, we hope to one day come back as guests or maybe to celebrate an anniversary! Can't recommend it enough x

The decor was stunning. Everyone complimented the set up of the ceremony room and how lovely the reception tables were. The Photo Booth was a massive hit with everyone. The chocolate foundation was good and the children loved it, as well as the sweet cart. Communication was good and always available for any queries.

When my husband and I initially met with Georgia at MatthewOliver Weddings, there was an instant connection. Because of their close ties with everyone in the industry, we were able to pull off an incredible destination wedding with ease and in budget. Lastly, what you find is that you spend most of your time with your wedding planners and vendors during the wedding and planning process. My Husband and I had a bit of a chaotic start to wedding planning, starting without a wedding planner we booked a venue that fell through and were totally in over our heads. Then my TikTok algorithm presented me with Georgia, and I'm so glad it did. They worked tirelessly, but with smiling faces, they didn't show it. They are all brilliant and there wasn't a single guest who didn't mention how fantastic they were. The ability to plan an event down to such fine detail and yet maintain a sense of complete calm is a skill that should not be undervalued.
