Lovely village pub on the green, we come here a lot. The food is good for a pub but I don't love the new menu as much as the old one and staff have gone through quite a lot of change and the new manager isn't as welcoming or friendly as the old one, Cozy fire and lovely cake and coffee shop in a yurt in the garden. No real garden to speak of it's a courtyard with a shelter and 10 or so tables.

Was a very cosy, warm and inviting place to eat and have a drink. The service was just 10 out of 10 in my opinion, we didn’t have to move a muscle. I had the fish and chips which was really good, was the kind of batter that doesn’t leave you a little sick but very kindly full

First visit to this pub today with my friend who was visiting me. Service was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was nice. The garden and inside dining space was beautiful. Food was lovely and tasty. I also liked the fact they mentioned service charge when presenting the bill and the lady said it was optional though she fully deserved it. Will be back and will recommend to friends.

A lovely setting for a Sunday lunch. Great management, wonderful bar staff. First time there and can't fault them. Will definitely be back in the future.

Lovely little spot with a great atmosphere and very tasty food. Visited after work, easy to get a table, service was quick and servers were friendly. The tapas are excellent, highly recommend.

Myself and my wife visited and I have to say what a lovely experience. The food was very nice and the drinks selection was very good. All in all a lovely lunch.

I booked lunch for my partners birthday and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The staff were wonderful and the food was excellent. Overall couldn’t recommend this pub more we will definitely be making this a new regular spot.

We loved this place. We got there a little later on an evening and had a pint. It was fun to sit and chat and the atmosphere was so cozy and lovely. The drinks are reasonable and the chips are super tasty. We also came earlier in the summer and sat in the garden. This is quickly becoming one of our favorite pubs.

Came here for my birthday dinner with family Monday evening . We were seated promptly it wasn’t too busy . We were served by Henry . He was very polite and a bit shy. We ordered drinks and four meals and three desserts . When they bought my dessert they sang Happy Birthday to me , which I wasn’t expecting so it was a lovely surprise . We ordered two lamb dishes one chicken dish and a burger dish. Unfortunately, the burger and chips let us down as it wasn’t very tasty the burger meat didn’t taste fresh and the bun wasn’t nice .it looked like a small cafe type burger. Rather a burger made in a quality restaurant . I expect at least a brioche bun. So next time we will not order burgers here . But other than that the night was pleasant and we enjoyed ourselves . And thank you to the staff . I would love to return maybe for a daytime meal so that I can see the outside of the restaurant properly .

Everything was great, food incredible, some of the best squid we have ever had and the roast was amazing, as always. Beef cooked to perfection, veg unreal. Gravy could be a little thicker however it was bottomless so just asked for a little more. Service was super efficient, everything came out at a good time, not too fast or too slow. We decided to sit outside and were worried that table service wouldn’t be as good as the restaurant (only from experience elsewhere) but we were looked after thoroughly and will 100% be returning!

This place is a real hidden gem. Phenomenal food, wonderful welcoming service and more than reasonable prices. Perfectly situated for an afternoon stroll around Virginia Waters either before or after sustenance

Really lovely restaurant. Well worth a visit. The experience itself took just over 3 hours though which is quite long and if I knew I’d book an earlier table. However, it can’t be knocked it was amazing.

The dining experience was excellent. The staff were welcoming and professional, ensuring every detail was perfect. Each dish was beautifully presented with well-balanced flavors, showcasing the chef’s creativity. The service was attentive without being too much, making it a memorable evening. Truly exceptional dinner for our anniversary. Every course on the taster menu was fantastic and the service was spot on, not intrusive, just always attentive. Very flexible team also, I was able to switch out a course containing oysters for an excellent vegetation alternative. We opted for the addition of a cheese board which was excellent but meant we were very full by the end. Would very much lobe to visit again

I came here with my partner for my 30th birthday, we are both vegan so wasn’t sure how well they could cater for us. We had a full vegan tasting menu and were absolutely blown away by the food, it’s the best food we’ve ever eaten, and the staff were so friendly and helpful too. We would highly recommend and will defiantly return for another special occasion.

Came here for a birthday meal, despite living in Bagshot for 16 years I never got round to it. I feel terrible for all the time I've been missing out on this awesome food.

It’s our first time to this restaurant. The food is nice and the staff are really friendly. The only problem is that the food is more expensive than expected, and more expensive than other Italian restaurants I’m been to in this area within 10 miles. Picture 4 pasta with tomato sauce is 14 pounds, which is we think is pricy. 12.5% of the service fee is added onto the bill in the end. I only see such service fee in a few restaurants in London. Other than this, everything is good. Overall, we had a very nice dining experience.

Food we tried was really great especially the tiger prawn and the sauce. Also service was good but only issue is the prices a bit high.

Superb! The service was fantastic. Very diligent. Checking for drinks just prior to food was a great touch. Pouring our drinks at the table was also very nice. Thank there was the food. So well plated. We loved the food. Toilets are inside the old building but we're also very plush. Two doors between you and the pub/ diner area. However it was just one ply loo paper. Overall this is a pub I will return to. Very nice indeed

We had a lovely meal at the Thatched tavern. They served us very well and met our needs, we had a dog and two little ones with us, they were very helpful. We also had a nut allergy and they were helpful making us feel comfortable. We had fish and chips which was recommended and the burger was also a great, very well cooked. Portions were very big. Gnocchi was okay, hence the 4 stars, rest of food was great Kept checking on us, food came quickly and the pub inside is lovely and cosy Toilets really clean and updated!

I visited for the first time the other evening, with my friend. We booked for 5.45pm & we’re the first customers there. As we walked in we were greeted by two friendly members of staff. It took us a while to order, as we spent time catching up- but they were patient and there was no rush. The food came out and was hot & flavoursome. Would recommend

Popped in here by chance early one Saturday evening and we were delighted with the food and the service , so will definitely go back soon !

Visited over the weekend with family. Can't fault it, really. Portion sizes for the starters and mains are great, and there's a great variety of different drinks & dishes. We all ordered steak dishes for mains, and the steaks were cooked perfectly and more importantly, super tasty. One criticism would be that the calamari could use a bit more seasoning as it was a bit bland without the help of the aioli dipping sauce. There was plenty of parking available on a Saturday evening and there was no need to wait around for our booking once we arrived. Staff were all friendly, and the service was good.

What a pleasant experience. The food was excellent. So many side dishes, so many sauces and so many things to try! The steak was absolutely delicious. I would place it somewhere in my top 3 steaks I’ve tried for under £60 a person. We had the cote de boeuf - which is essentially a bone in ribeye. Cooked to perfection.

We came out for dinner as we were gifted a voucher for my partner’s birthday. We had such a great time, the food was amazing and the service was brilliant as well. Thanks to Jack for brilliant service during our dinner:)

Very happy with overall service. Riannon was pleasant, helpful and most importantly food ordered was delivered quickly and accurately. Minor disappointment with all 3 steaks ordered, which were underdone but everything else was perfect. We were sat next to an extractor fan which was quite noisy (!) hence one star knocked off for atmosphere.

Lovely place to eat and catch up with friends. The Carpenters Steak Sandwich highly recommend! Lovely produce, beautifully out together with a side of pickles.😋

Amazing food, service and atmosphere… the food choices are superb and often times hard to find elsewhere. The staff is amazing friendly and know their menu, perfect for a date night family night or just some friends. Highly recommend. Now to be clear I ordered some more expensive items but I was very impressed about the presentation and the quality was more than enough for two…
