The Best Restaurants in Badshot Lea, Surrey, United Kingdom (2025)

A group of us were led upstairs to dine. Busts and reliefs of Greek deitys overlooked us. So too, did lots of Van Gogh paintings. All in all, it felt more like a trip to the British museum, than a restaurant. However, the mainly Hellenistic decor and warm lighting, did set a wonderful ambience for our meal. The cocktails are superbly crafted and highly recommended. The Pina colada for example, was really rich and creamy. They also serve Efts beer, albeit in an Asahi glass. The walnut, honey goats cheese starter was standout incredible and fit for the Gods, should the decor suddenly come to life(like it does in, 'Night of the museum'). Three of us had scallops and we unanimously agreed that they were all rather small, colourless and criminally overdone. Shame on you chef. Onto the grills because that's what they should do best here in this Mediterranean themed joint. The lamb rump is good, the chops reasonable but the chicken, although tasty, was a little dry. My partner opted for our favourite dish, moussaka but it was over seasoned and we both thought that we could taste cumin rather than cinnamon. Nethertheless, it was a poor effort. Overall, I would go out of my way to enjoy the cocktails here but wouldn't rush back for the food.

What a great find! An ample selection of mains.. myself and my partner were struggling to pick 2 mains so we went for 3 and skipped starters. All the dishes were great and they have a special offer on the fish every Tuesday (Any fish dish for £15). 3 mains, 2 mocktails, baklava to share, a bottle of water and service charge all came in at under £100 which I felt was very reasonable. The service is also top notch! Highly recommended.

Beautiful place to find beautiful flowers & a cosy coffee shop to spend time with your loved one. Can enjoy a good cup of coffee.💕

I can here for brunch with a friend the other weekend. It's been ages since I visited having moved further away so it was nice to see that the restaurant has been updated and is very pleasant. We booked ahead of time to ensure a table (done through the website) and were seated very promptly. We ordered drinks and there is also a little water station in the center of the restaurant - though the glasses are very small so required repeated trips. Drinks and food came quickly. The breakfast menu is as you'd expect, with a create your own style and a few others like baps and pancakes which I had. The food was very nice and we finished it off with a trip around the garden center which is very festive!

Nice lunch. Not the cheapest place but nice surroundings. Could get people to clear plates after people have finished eating and be on hand more as had to flag someone down to get bill and plates still in front of us when we left.

Fantastic night - Charlotte Prince & Izzy Shaw were brilliant hosts & catered for a group of 10 really well. Excellent night, huge fans of the place. We will be back!

Fantastic visit for breakfast/brunch while I was in town. This was my first experience at The Castle and I found it had a lovely atmosphere, the staff were attentive and the food was really tasty and fresh. Would visit again when in the area

The food was amazing and incredible value. As a coeliac it can be limiting but the kitchen had designed options that replicated the normal menu. I was dubious at first about a gluten free beef and ale pie in a normal restaurant but the server was also a coeliac and reassured me and it was more than worth it. I'm still drooling over the meal. 10/10 would recommend. Am going again.

Regularly visit on weekends. Amazing place! We usually order desserts and eat outside. The food is absolutely delicious! The service is slightly slow for a small dessert but it's not a big hindrance. Overall I hugely recommend this place!

May 17th 2024. Arrived at 3:00 pm for late lunch early dinner. Sat outside with a blue spring sky above and a gentle breeze. I had : Poulet Breton Rôti 17.75 Responsibly reared in Northern France Corn-fed marinated roasted half chicken, served with confit potatoes and a herb salad 597 kcal With the Recommended with Sauce Diane 2.75 37 kcal Very tasty but looked like Chicken and chips! The herb salad was a few sprigs of parsley with a small slice of onion! It was cooked very well and was flavoursome. Seemed very expensive as we had to buy the greens also. The waiter was very helpful in letting us know that one portion would be enough for two people. My husband had : Fish Parmentier 15.75 Haddock, prawns & salmon in a white wine & leek sauce, topped with potato purée and a Comté crust, served with a herb salad 640 kcal It was delicious, I was informed. For pudding we had the apple Tarte Tatin which was superb and generous, with a decent scoop of ice cream. Because of the waiter’s help, the delicious tarte tatin and the lovely atmosphere, we would revisit. In fact the waiter was brilliant on every level, kind, chatty but not too much, attentive and made us feel important and well looked after.

We enjoyed a very pleasant lunch here. The service was quick and all the staff were friendly and inviting. The menu provided something for everyone and our whole group left highly satisfied with their meals. The dauphinois potato’s we’re so crispy on top yet rich and creamy underneath. All the meat we ordered was well cooked and moist and accompanied with deep flavourful sauces. We would certainly recommend a visit here.

Lovely welcome on arrival, super friendly, and the staff were all so accommodating 😊. The beef burger (on sourdough bread as per my request) & fries were delicious!

Came here for Sunday brunch which was a good experience with friendly service. The eggs benedict was delicious and filling. The QR code service where you can split the bill and pay online is awesome and hopefully more food outlets follow suit and do this. Good value for money all in.

Visited with 2 colleagues after work on a Tuesday and were able to grab seats straight away. Service was very friendly and prompt. Food was good and consistent with other branches of Bills. One star knocked off as some of the food we ordered turned out to be not available. Would recommend coming here for a quick bite.

Our Waitres Bella was very proffesional , attentive, caring and considerate. She took in to note of our daughter’s allergies and she remained focused on all our needs throughout the evening.In our opinion, Possibly the BEST WAITRESS we have experienced of many years of eating out. Also, it was my birthday and they made me feel special on that evening whice was very nice. I would recommend this place if u want to have nice evening meal.

Lovely pub which is dog friendly. Free parking to the side and there’s also a beer garden too. Looks like a family run business as everyone gets involved. Really friendly and welcoming place. The staff were tentative but importantly left us alone to enjoy our own company. They all smiled and said goodbye when we left. Couldn’t ask for nicer service. We went early on Saturday so it was a peaceful atmosphere with people eating lunch. I imagine it’s a nice place for a beer/wine in the evenings. Good food. Presentation was nice and it was both tasty and filling. Reasonably priced as well as the drinks. Definitely recommend. Update: We went back again 5 months later and it was still great service and a lovely pub. We had the Sunday Roast and it was just the right amount of food. We had beef and lamb. It was tasty and reasonably priced. Staff still lovely and tentative. The place feels like a family business. Wholly recommend.

The Six Bells is a lovely local pub which is great for all the family (including dogs!) it's located across the road from the petrol station just off the Farnham side of the six bells roundabout, and has it's own customer car park. We've visited the Six Bells a few times and it's always been wonderful. They offer a range of fun events such as live music and quiz nights! We did a quiz recently and it was great fun, lots of banter and entertainment with everyone involved. Jay, the owner, runs the quiz and makes sure to get everyone involved and having a laugh. There was a raffle and prizes, with the money raised going to charity! Definitely something we would like to do again! The pub has outside seating with an undercover section and also a function room for parties and events. Overall a lovely pub with a great atmosphere and a fun night out!

Fabulous xmas meal fir 10. Service was excellent both in serving meal and bar staff.Everyone of them smiled and lovely young lady serving meal introduced herself by name beforehand. Food was lovely and plenty of gravy with mains in jugs and cream and custard done the same way for desserts and absolutely no skimping. I made a big error that Jo sorted immediately. I had forgotten to add someone and she sorted all out with the chef and Jay came and rearrange the table with no fuss at all. Would definitely recommend this as a venue. I came a few months ago with a friend and found Jay the manager really friendly and welcoming and he came and spoke to us for a while. This made me book here and was definitely a good decision. The Six Bells in Farnham is the place to be! Fantastic atmosphere and fantastic owner Jay and his amazing team! We attended for Saturday nights quiz and to listen to a local up and coming artist Madeleine sing, very amazing talented singer! The quiz was great, lots of prizes to be won, myself and the other teams got involved and had a laugh. Jay and his team are perfect hosts in this cozy pub. Plenty of parking, nice warm fire and perfectly pulled Guinness. Recommended for family, get togethers and 50th school reunions! Will certainly be back very soon.

I had a great time celebrating my wife's birthday here! The welcome we got was top-notch, and the service throughout the evening was simply perfect. We loved everything we tried, especially the Casa Pepperoni Pizza—great taste, quality, and presentation. The atmosphere was lovely, and I can't wait to come back for more of the same. Huge thanks to the team for making our night so special!

I recently enjoyed a festive dinner and it was quite nice! The food was top-notch, especially the turkey escalope – so tasty and perfectly cooked. The private room was a great touch, making our gathering feel special. My only minor gripe was the wait time between courses, but everything arrived hot and no one seemed to mind. Overall, a lovely experience, and I'll definitely consider coming back next year!

We always have a great experience whenever we visit The Lost Boy in Farnham. The food, atmosphere & service is always of a high standard. Today we visited for lunch as it was my husbands Birthday and we were very well looked after by Barbarba, who made our visit extra special and far exceeded any previous visits! She’s a real credit to the team and we can’t wait to return again. Thank you! ❤️

Family get together for Sunday lunch. 3 roast lamb and a duo. Food was lovely, really nicely flavoured and good portion size. We ordered 2 sides - pigs in blankets and cauliflower cheese which was delicious. Warm brownie, sticky toffee pudding and ice cream for dessert. Mulled wine very much enjoyed. Service was great, polite friendly and welcoming. Very enjoyable experience.

Went to a private function here on a Saturday night. Wasn't too busy, seemed to have a nice relaxed atmosphere. Staff friendly and attentive. Good drinks selection across the board and the buffet style food was delicious. My ideal type of pub!

We had a superb stay at the Princess Royal on New Years' Eve, which was booked last minute so we could attend a party nearby. The check-in was seamless, the room clean, luxurious, and peaceful, and the breakfast the next morning delicious and generous.

The room was very clean and tidy, plenty of hot water and the staff were very helpful and friendly especially Joe and Tom! Breakfasts were very good with a wide choice thank you. We would definitely stay again 😊
