Good selection of West Indian and Jamaican food in a large beach hut vendor styled theme. For starters my partner had Sweetcorn Dumplings which were pleasant but a little bland for my taste, some Chickpea Doubles which weren't bad and I had some decent Fiery Wings, not that hot in my opinion but tasty and well cooked so meat fell off the bone, nice to see normal size wings rather than the artificially bred oversize wings some use that lack flavour. Mains my partner went for a Katsu type curry with Vegan Chicken with Rice and Peas which she enjoyed and I had the Curry Goat with Rice and Peas which was tasty but I found the gravy a little thin for my preference. Meat was off the bone which was good for convenience as I had a white shirt on but less authentic, portions were decent although personally would have liked a little more Rice and Peas to soak up the gravy. Two for One cocktails were on offer which we grabbed a couple each, in keeping with the cuisine these tend to be Rum or Tequila based so a nice strong flavour profile and whilst not the best cocktails I've ever tried for the money they were good and offered decent value for money. Would definitely look to return in future.

Food - amazing. We had the fish tacos, crispy squid and brown chicken curry, all so amazing. Drinks have been absolutely amazing. Definitely recommend to the Candy sour and lychee daiquiri. Updating my original review and adding a star! We visited again & this time the pizzas where fantastic, both a meat feast and a nduja pizza. Great flavours, ingredients and the pizza base was crisp and light but with enough weight to hold the toppings just right. Made freshly and quickly too so great for a quick lunch. We also ordered a café latte and chai latte both really nice too ! Sorry no new pictures of the pizzas but adding the chai latte 😄 100% recommended. This is my original review below: Good pizza at affordable prices, it did miss a little magic to make them excellent pizzas though. We ordered a meat feast pizza with 3 types of meat + the traditional mozzarella and tomato toppings. Definitely a healthier choice then a papa johns, or other chain based pizza places. They also serve coffee and pastries too.

Back again, great pizza very fresh. Definitely recommend anyone who's in the area. Staff very friendly and approachable too

Shardana is a bustling restaurant and always smells delicious when we walk past. We enjoyed a nice evening there. The smoked duck starter was a highlight and the pizzas were generous with toppings. Worth a visit for tasty, uncomplicated food which delivers.

The handmade pasta was amazing. Al denté, cooked to perfection, the sauce was silky and emulsification done well, with lots of spices and onions. The clams were fresh, sweet, succulent. Overall a lovely dish for my Tuesday night. Bonus point is it is dog friendly and staff were friendly and courteous. Overheard a conversation between a customer and the chef enquiring about a table on the weekends. The chef answered every single question the customer had over potential allergens in each dish with great detail, and when the client was not sure the staff explained with great patience. The client facing attitude was superb. A side note my dog’s insta is @bichon.mirabelle. 🐾

Visited this amazing restaurant at the beginning of this month with a friend. It’s not easy to find a good Italian restaurant when there are loads to choose from. We had their signature smoked duck and it was the best duck we have had in England so far. For mains we had the crab risotto and spaghetti alle vongole and they were impeccable ( Coming from Italy I think I can say that 😜). The place has a cozy romantic atmosphere and I would totally recommend if you’re going out on a first date. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and they even poured our drinks and tap water from time to time. Overall I enjoyed being there for the couple hours that we spent in the restaurant and I am definitely looking forward to come back to this place on our next trip to Guildford.

Gorgeous food, amazing staff and the place is lovely. Cosy and really made me feel like I was back home, the flavours of the food and the kindness of the staff made it a wonderful night. Had the most amazing of birthdays, they were also so kind as to make me a special dessert and sang happy birthday to me, it was great! Very highly recommended ❤️

Absolutely superb; head chef Charles introduced himself before dinner so you can ask any questions before you order. The food taste and quality was excellent with a very good wine menu. All the staff were welcoming and very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. An excellent intimate dinning experience and highly recommended.

The restaurant is a gem. You wouldn’t expect from the outside a fantastic dinning area with a lovely koi pond and stunning well looked after garden. The food is perfect balancing both modern and classical styles. It is also the perfect meal with all of the courses being well balanced and unique which leave you wanting more. Very hospitable and kind service. Combined with a well put together menu and dishes well executed.

Driven past this hotel a few times and saw the sign outside for Ten Tables so decided to treat my husband. Great bar area with pretty array of filament bulbs and the restaurant is really lovely with just 10 tables as you would expect. Nice music playing and a lovely garden although it was dark and cold the evening that we went. We should have gone a few weeks ago but our booking was cancelled due to "unforeseen circumstances" which it turns out was that the chef left (which is a real shame as his reviews were fabulous) but we were assured the new chef was just as good if not better. I had the beef short rib croquette to start (delicious ) and my husband had the scallops - well .... The plate came out with only 2 scallops (think they could have put 3 on for the price of £13 !). Nicely presented in their shells on a bed of greenery which we assumed to be a crispy curly kale or similar (the lighting is quite subdued in the restaurant). My husband tasted the greenery and declared it a little soggy so I tried it too. It had a very bitter, nasty taste and it made both of our tongues go numb. When the waitress came to clear the plates we asked her what it was to which she replied "You didn't eat it did you ? It's Fake Reindeer Moss". Apparently not poisonous thankfully and on checking with the chef it's also thankfully non toxic. 24 hours later and my tongue still feels peculiar. IF YOU CAN'T EAT IT DON'T PUT IT ON THE PLATE !! . The venison main course was delicious and we will go back on a summers evening so we can enjoy the outside.

A lovely chef who likes to get to know his customers and enjoys a chat and conversation regarding food. Great presentation, very tasty well cooked dishes. Menu flexibility available. Very customer focused staff and the provision of an honest bar. I think this dining experience is excellent value and fully recommend it.

We are very lucky to get a table for three on Friday night without prior reservation. We are very impressed by the foods we ordered, everything is so delicious! I particularly love the seafood and chicken paella we ordered, the meat is generous, good amount for three people to share, so tasty!Also, the service is fairly attentive and quick, every staff is wearing a smile on their face. I haven’t enjoyed dining in a restaurant so much as today. Highly recommended!

Popped in here Saturday for some lunch. Excellent professional friendly service. The food was excellent Tapas plates. Meat / cheese selection very fresh & great taste. Seafood platter . Light tempura batter. White bait / calamari / Octopus/ Squid / Aubergine sticks. Fantastic foods here. In my line of work. I cover 30-50 Hotels/ Restaurants/ Pubs a week. The restaurant itself open plan & very light & airy. I would highly recommend Coming here.

We were running late to our reservation but the team were welcoming and accommodating. Really good atmosphere and the main gentleman running the floor couldn’t have been more helpful. Our seafood paella was amazing and they even made an effort to bring it out asap as we had a theatre show to go to. We couldn’t recommend more highly!

We only went in there to try out this restaurant and we did enjoyed everything the food is even better then what we had on our holiday trip to Spain 😋 specially the sangria drink 🍷

Fab experience from the moment we arrived. We had the steak sharer and it did not disappoint, it was absolutely delicious! Every single morsel was eaten and thoroughly enjoyed and steak was cooked perfectly. Staff were all happy and attentive which made the atmosphere cosy and warm and inviting. Just lush.

Beautiful little hidden gem in the centre of Guildford. Lovely atmosphere, attentive staff and amazing food. Tom was fab, very helpful, nothing too much trouble. Highly recommend. Will definitely be going back.

I booked the big round table upstairs for me and my friends for my birthday! I had heard good things about this restaurant and everything was true! The atmosphere, the character of the building and all of the staff were super pleasant friendly and amenable! In particular Tom took a shining to our table And the owner even came up to say hello! The food was delicious and authentic the Italian, I should know! I couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough we will be back again sometime over Christmas, go and treat yourself! 🫶🏼

What a find! This place has very charming interior with very high ceilings and stylish tableware The food was a 10/10, with presentation being very aesthetic, and every dish being extremely tasty and full of flavour. We loved the dips with pita bread, fried feta in honey, and beef croquettes For the main we shared lamb and sea bream. Will absolutely come back again

We’ve passed by this restaurant so many times and finally decided to try it. And we’re so glad we did! The food was outstanding. All the favourites were in the menu, plus great modern takes on the traditional dips. Especially loved the butterflied sea bream, the crispy Hake fillet, and the moussaka. And the freshest calamari! The great food was completed by the light and welcoming decor, staff and ambience. Not to be missed if you love Greek food. We’ll definitely be going back for more!

I like to give positive reviews, but Theion is exceptional! Wonderful food - traditional Greek dishes, but made very special with a level of taste, ingredients and presentation that delivers a whole extra level of enjoyment. Beautiful former hall well modified into an interesting venue, and excellent staff who undersrand the food and enjoy delivering great service. Ideal venue to treat someone - from the family to yourself!

Visited this newly refurbished restaurant, which has been upgraded to a beautiful standard while retaining all the original features of this old building. The food was excellent as always, we enjoyed sticky chicken, prawns, steak, lemon sole...

We loved the experience at the Horse & Groom Merrow. They were able to find us a table at the very last minute and what a lovely surprise it was! Starters were amazing, I highly recommend the pizzetta and squid. We had the pork belly and the roasted chicken as main, and we loved it too! I saved this place in my Google Maps profile, I will definitely come back.

Visited the pub restaurant four times before I write this. It’s definitely a hidden gem and truly deserves a five star rating. Menu options are aplenty. I tried both lunch and dinner options. Service is impeccable. Environment is very relaxing and clean. Parking is free .

So we visited this afternoon and I have to say the food was unreal. Full of flavour and cooked to perfection, I couldn’t fault it. They also had some festive extras on the menu which really complimented the meal! Not expensive and absolutely worth every penny. I will be returning very soon. Thank you team
