Amazing and incredibly friendly place hosted by Richie Rivers and his lovey partner Laura Ann Smith. Richie is the organiser of the Dorset Volksfest and a forces veteran. Bring your ride to the hub and take photos of your pride and joy in the garage area with its murals on the walls. VW's, Americana, Exotica Motorbikes and indeed your cycle are all welcome. Have a great coffee, cake and a chat. Can't recommend this place more highly. Come down and be surprised đ Update: Hot and delicious food is now available from Rivo's Food Shack. This place is getting popular and deservedly so. Thursday night is Bike night and weekend events are coming thick and fast. Love this place and can't recommend this place enough. Well worth a visit for all ages.

Lovely new cafe in the old Sandford pub. It's been fully refurbished and still has a bar and pool table, but with cafe vibes. Fantastic food, the quality and sizes were fantastic. The single JZ chicken burger was unbelievable, the double could feed a family on its own. Very friendly staff and warm atmosphere. Well recommended.

The staff here are OUTSTANDING! Even though it was busy they were all very friendly. Food was AMAZING!!!! they also don't rush you to leave which I found really nice. This is a place I plan on coming too on a weekly basis. The owners are on hand and very polite and approachable. This is a must visit for anyone

Breakfast at Rivoâs was absolutely delicious- freshly cooked, good quality and excellent value.(Hubs had the full English breakfast with black pudding, I had the small breakfast) Tea & coffee served in generous sized mugs - always a winner in my eyes! Staff are welcoming and friendly, everything is clean and well-stocked. Automotive theme is carried throughout- loved the menus! We were there for 10am opening, along with many others, so no wait for a table - but if you do have to wait it would absolutely be worth it! We will definitely be back.

This place is a little gem There are a few tables to eat at so I would strongly suggest that you book in advance. The food was absolutely fantastic The chef loves to cook and you can certainly see this and taste this when your plate arrives. Also lovely local ales to try I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and I hope you will too.

We had the rarebit and avocado smash. Both were decent. The highlight was the actual shop itself, which was charming, with a lovely community feel and local meat.

Superb rib of beef from Sean, 2Kg, 2 hours in the oven, 8 delicious Christmas dinners đ; so much easier than turkey! Same again next year for us đ

Seduction in the form of sausage rolls in the shop window đ. Stopped to explore the town and a stroll along the river, this looked like the place to be. Good choice of sides to go with the freshly baked sausage roll, so was definitely a great choice. Coffee good too.

Quay Inn, Wareham
The Quay, Wareham BH20 4LP, UK | Pub P: 01929 552735
Rating: 4.5 (1704) Price Level:
Had an evening meal which was good value and delicious. The best steak I've had in a very long time. Sticky toffee pudding was great too although could have done with an extra blob of ice-cream given how large the portion was.
Rating: 5 / 5
Visit this place every time I'm in Wareham. Good selection of drinks, good menu and lovely staff. Outside seating and right by the river. Tonight was steak night. Quality meat, well presented and you cook it yourself to your liking. Loved the chips and salad. Staff were very busy but outstanding in service and very friendly.
Rating: 5 / 5
I had lunch there today with my sister. She had beef rib and I had the ham, egg and chips. Both were delicious. The chips were the best I've had in a long time. Service was good and staff were quick to clear and wipe down tables.
Rating: 4 / 5
Lovely place to stay, the rooms are situated in a very quaint building above a small shop. The room was up a steep staircase so not suitable if you are unable to climb stairs. But the view from the room was lovely, the room itself was small but clean and tidy with tea making facilities. The pub itself was lovely with very friendly staff who were happy to help in any way, the food both in the evening band at breakfast was great. Thank you to all

Ship Inn Wool
Dorchester Rd., Wool, Wareham BH20 6EQ, UK | Pub P: 01929 462247
Rating: 4.5 (1323) Price Level:
Really good food. We have been the last 2 weekends, and had the fish and chips both times and has been consistently excellent. The service is polite, friendly and efficient. There are 2 car parks providing plenty of free parking. They have a very generous outside area with plenty of seating too.
Rating: 5 / 5
An excellent, well presented pub with superb food and very friendly staff. What more do you need?? The menu is a nice balance of staples and really imaginative dishes. The crispy chicken with chilli starter was amazing and the chargrilled chicken with chorizo was fabulous. The ham, egg and chips was probably the best I have had anywhere, a simple dish prepared very well with good ingredients. We will be back
Rating: 4 / 5
Food was excellent, with a good selection for those with allergies. Fish and chips was huge. The flat bread was a little disappointing though in comparison to the other mains. Still good though!
Rating: 5 / 5
Fabulous place, food amazing. Stumbled upon this pub during a long drive home. Lovely place, service was good but think the lady could smile lol. Spoke like she didn't want to serve happy when with colleagues haha. That's the only reason for deducting a star on service. Had a lamb burger and chips. Wow best chips ever, so thick, crispy on outside and fluffy on inside. Burger tasted homemade. Sounded expensive on ordering but my goodness it was eoth every penny.

We visited during the last Wareham Wednesday event and despite being very busy we had a lovely meal from a friendly team. It was Steak night and my Wife and I had a rump steak and steak burger. Both were cooked as we asked and very tasty. Excellent value all round and we'll be back.

Lunch at this fab restaurant. Great atmosphere and location. Food was very nicely done and delicious.
Rating: 4 / 5
Very friendly pub in Wareham. Cosy little beer garden and Guinness zero available and dog friendly. What's not to like?
Rating: 5 / 5
We were recommended to eat lunch here at The Duke of Wellington by one of the locals we met in the street. Great value, piping hot food, served promptly and with a friendly smile! Thank you especially to Susie who made my mum and dad feel very welcome. The ham, egg and chips were really tasty as was the scampi. Lagers and beer were also great! We all really enjoyed our delicious food and a nice window seat. We will definitely visit again and recommend this super pub!

We found this restaurant when exploring Wareham. The small plates lunch menu was fantastic. Super tasty and amazing value. If we are in the area again we will return
Rating: 5 / 5
a really good Italian restaurant! Me and my girlfriend went out eating tonight and had a great time. The team and the food was amazing I recommend it to anyone itâs a better alternative than the old granary or the quay INN in my opinion! Also recommend to book a table instead of just walking in in the evening
Rating: 5 / 5
Really delicious food I can tell special care has been taken and I didnât mind waiting. Attentive staff and nice atmosphere.

The Italian Kitchen is the perfect spot to dine and unwind. They serve stunning, high-quality food at great prices. The service is impeccableâevery staff member is helpful, attentive, and genuinely happy to assist. Weâve loved every meal weâve ever had there. They even serve homemade bread while you wait for your starter or main course, which is a lovely touch. Whether itâs for a date night or a corporate works meal, The Italian Kitchen never disappoints. The quality has never faltered or waveredâitâs truly the best Italian restaurant weâve ever experienced. We highly recommend a visit! Would recommend the squid starter, spicy nduja pizza's and the creamy tuscan chicken are some of our personal favourites!

The Horse & Groom - East Dorset CAMRA Rural Pub of the Year 2023

Rating: 4.6 (485) Price Level:
Can't comment on the food (though it looked absolutely exquisite on the table opposite). Classic local pub. Great service, lovely customers and atmosphere with good drinks. I'm a local and come here fairly often. Would always recommend.
Rating: 5 / 5
Heard a lot about this pub & it certainly lived up to the positive views, had a fantastic lunch here. Iâll definitely be back đ
Rating: 5 / 5
Truly amazing!!! Very helpful staff and were very welcoming of us. Menu was very varied even though it was stripped back due to Covid. Well priced food and drinks plus they stocked Purbeck cider which is a winner for me. The Mrs had lasagne which was fresh and tasty and the boy had kids fresh battered fish and chips, all sublime.
Rating: 4 / 5
From the outset, I'm a fussy eater, so no veg was required. They said they'd meet this and I asked for extra roast potatoes please, using the words 'lots' and reiterating several times. I was a little disappointed when it arrived. I 'should' have asked for Yorkshire puddings, it slipped my mind not having beef. The food was good, but pub was full so had to eat in the very busy beer garden. The wind was strong, the wasps a real nuisance. I was checked on, I should have asked for more, but was busy batting wasps away and just wanted to leave at that point. Wasps not pubs fault. I enjoyed what I had.

The food was amazing. Especially the Cinamon-covered Duck. This was my first experience with south asian food which turned out to be delicious. The staff were friendly too. I would recommend this place.

This Indian-Nepalese restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, the warm, inviting ambiance and friendly staff made me feel right at home. The menu is a perfect blend of traditional Indian and Nepali flavors, offering a delightful variety of dishes to satisfy any palate. The *butter chicken* was rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced, while the *momos* (Nepalese dumplings) were simply out of this world â tender, flavorful, and served with a deliciously tangy dipping sauce. The spices were just right, balancing heat and flavor without overpowering the dish. The service was impeccable, with the staff going out of their way to ensure we had a fantastic dining experience. They were knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations and ensuring we had everything we needed. Whether you're a fan of Indian cuisine or looking to try something new with a Nepali twist, this place is an absolute must-visit. I canât wait to return and try more of their incredible offerings. Highly recommended

Excellent Indian restaurant in Wareham. All the dishes were extremely scrumptious. Loved the sea food platter - the salmon fish and tiger prawns are a must have! The Kerala prawns main course dish was also a delight. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the Dorset area.

The Priory Hotel
Church Grn, Wareham BH20 4ND, UK | Hotel P: 01929 551666
Rating: 4.6 (332) Price Level:
The most perfect stay at The Priory - I cannot recommend this beautiful hotel enough. The service provided was impeccable (attention to detail has been better than a few Michelin star restaurants we have visited) the food was absolutely delicious, we had afternoon tea which was sublime and breakfast on our balcony one morning which was wonderful, the rooms are stunning and the little details like getting a newspaper delivered in the morning is quite lovely. The grounds are also immaculately kept. It is not my first time visiting the priory and certainly wonât be my last, highly recommended! You will not be disappointed.

We had an amazing lunch here with family. Christian and Lucinda were amazing hosts and made us feel extremely welcome. Food is delicious and perfectly portioned. Lovely interior design and gardens.
Rating: 5 / 5
We went for the Autumn lunch menu in the Garden Room to celebrate my wife's birthday. The moment we stepped inside we were greeted as old friends and this was our first visit! The lunch was superb and the service exceptional. The Priory Hotel should have at least 4 Rosettes. They deserve it. We shall be back since it is the best restaurant in Dorset.
Rating: 5 / 5
We went for lunch to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The staff were incredible. Great service and very knowledgeable about the grounds. Christian made us a strong, but very tasty negroni cocktail (as it was Negroni week being celebrated around the world). Food was wonderfully presented and tasted delicious. I couldn't fault it. Beautiful location. Thank you for making our day a bit more special.

Rating: 4.6 (203) Price Level:
What a wonderful experience visiting the Seven Stars Inn Wool, Moreton, Dorchester restaurant. The food was first class cooked with love and care by a really good head chef and his brigade. Couldn't fault the food in any way what so ever good flavours, textures and presented very well. A really great dining experience which I will remember for a long time. The front of house staff very very friendly, professional providing a great service to compliment the kitchen Definitely worthy of a 5 star review and I would definitely recommend visiting this wonderful restaurant and I hope I will be back here myself.
Rating: 5 / 5
Very fresh selection of seafood. Generous portions too. Had the white bait, the cod fish and chips as well as the mussels. Very impressed by the freshness and quality. Batter for the cod is very light and crisp. The cod was delicious and had the right texture, and ratio of cod:batter. The black mussels were very sweet and I enjoyed it very much when paired with fresh bread. Service was very organised. All in all a great experience and Iâd definitely bring my friends here when we drive down to the south coast again.
Rating: 5 / 5
I recently visited the Seven Stars Inn, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! The staff and their service were outstanding, making me feel truly welcomed with their warmth and attentiveness. I ordered a chicken curry meal, chips, and wings as a takeaway, and as an Indian, I was amazed by the flavorsâit was so delicious that I almost fell in love with the food. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for amazing hospitality paired with excellent cuisine!
Rating: 5 / 5
It was amazing. The dinner was really yummy. Huge portion, we had the steal & ale pie with chips and veggies. The meat was sooo tender, juicy and full of flavour. We stayed for one night in the little rooms they have in their fields. Very cozy and cute. Clean toilets and the shower was working really well. A nice warm bath after a hike to the beach. Breakfast was included, a nice english breakfast. I loved the sausages, very flavourfull. We had some tea or a coffee plus the Orange juice. I asked the staff if we could feed the pigs some apples that were in the floor and she said yes, very cute piggies! The staff is very kind and helpfull.
