Betsy’s been working with our year 2, 6 year old son for 6 months now & the results have been awesome. He was stressed and miserable throughout year 1; would come home crying because he didn’t even know how to hold a pencil, and had virtually no idea what he was supposed to be doing in the classroom. Within 5 minutes of the first tutor session I could see the first of many eureka moments for him as Betsy helped him make sense of things. It was such a massive relief for him and us to see that he could do it!! The progress has continued in handwriting, maths and literacy, and his confidence has grown - the kid who wrote (according to teachers) 4 words in a 40 minute independent writing task a few months back, today spontaneously sat & wrote a coherent paragraph about a half term outing! And he clearly enjoys the sessions which we couldn’t have imagined given how negative he was about school. Both myself & partner agree it’s the best thing we’ve ever done for our son.

Betsy has worked out to be a tremendous tutor for our daughter. They’ve been working together really well for over a year and have developed a trusting and happy relationship. Our daughters maths skills have rapidly improved - working on the basics has certainly built up her confidence and she now tackles problems she’d otherwise have been nervous of. They’re working solidly towards the 11+ exams in a few months time and will be starting to work on English skills in the coming weeks. We really like Betsy. She has become a really important part of our daughters learning journey and is always full of advice on ways to make learning fun. Betsy tutored my son in both Maths and English. I highly recommend her and found her to be very warm, approachable and caring. She was very good with my son and got to know him well very quickly, tweaking her sessions with him to really help him progress. She's absolutely lovely!

I have been with this centre for a few years now and I can honestly say that they provide an excellent service. Tutors will work with both parent and child to provide personalised support aimed at working on any areas of weakness or to help achieve their academic goals. Staff are very polite, responsive and really do care. Personally, they have supported my daughters to pass their 11+ exams with offers from several grammar and independent schools. My daughters are also at the top in their class and will bring work from school for extra support if needed. I couldn't have asked for more as a parent and I highly recommend this centre!

We went to TAG for additional support as my son prepared for the barrage of 11+ and senior school entry exams. All the team at TAG seem fabulous and so engaged in their work with the children but my son idolises his tutor, Felix. He's keen to go to his lesson, comes out beaming from ear to ear, AND has significantly accelerated his learning. They've loved Maths problem solving together and worked hard to build on my son's English comprehension and analysis skills. Felix is patient and creative in finding ways to embed the knowledge, whilst keeping the sessions vibrant and productive. Tailoring the sessions to what most needs to be worked on but adding in some of the things he's strong on to keep the confidence up. I would highly recommend TAG and Felix for both 11+ and more rounded educational support. Thank you.

TAG has been fantastic for our children, they are both very happy there and I couldn't recommend them more. My son LOVES his classes with Luke who has been amazing. We’ve seen such an improvement in his work and enthusiasm to learn!

Luke is a great tutor. My daughter has been doing the lessons with him for almost 2 years. She always says Luke is her favourite teacher because he makes learning very fun for the children and encourages them to explore and achieve more.

TAG has been our first and only choice for homeschooling. It has been a challenging decision to become homeschooled at year 7, but being part of TAG has made it a reassuring and positive experience. Felix and Holly have given Oscar the most creative and stimulating projects throughout the term. Their ability to understand the potential of a child and adapt the learning accordingly is amazing. Oscar has learned so much in such a short time. Each project has given Oscar a unique opportunity to combine multiple disciplines, and over time, work towards a final objective. TAG team has taken a special place in our lives and we value greatly all the effort TAG team puts in, not withstanding warm welcomes and friendly chats we share.

I highly recommend taking this course. I took the course on the Monday, followed diligently the process and successfully took the Life in the UK test the following week. Prior to this, I had been trying to learn through the book for a very long time, but repeatedly got lost into all the small details. This course focuses on the very essential parts which need to be acquired. It also greatly facilitates the learning process with providing audio and visual cues. That's all you need to succeed. It is so well worth the cost, as it provides a structure, peace of mind and avoids paying multiple times to retake the test.

I am happy to say that my husband passed his Life in the UK test today . And this was thanks to Louise’ excellent course which I wholeheartedly recommend. My husband is still learning English and many other courses and the official textbook are too challenging for him to follow. But Louise’s course is perfect! She explains things in an easy to understand way , shows illustrations on the screen and speaks very clearly . The course covers most important points for the test in a simple way , so my husband was able to follow. He watched the main parts of the course several times and also practiced the questions - by pausing the video and trying to answer himself first , before checking with Louise’ answers. Bob has been helping our son with his English. He has ADHD and whilst he reads a lot, this has never translated in him being able to write much. Bob has built a great relationship with our son and in doing so managed to unlock his potential in a very short space of time. I have attended FCL classes for my whole secondary school experience and the results clearly show. I achieved all As on my GCSEs which correlates to me getting at least a 7 in all of my subjects. I attended First Class Learning in Peckham for about one and a half years. I began there unconfident with maths and english, with not much hope for my GCSE’s. However through my Saturday tutoring sessions, I managed to understand and begin to enjoy learning whilst excelling at school in other subjects as well as maths and english due to the variety of skills learnt at FCL. The staff are extremely supportive and encouraged me to do well. With the help of FCL, I successfully managed to leave secondary school with mostly 8’s and 7’s (equivalent to A*’s and A’s). If you’re struggling with your grades, i highly recommend you to consider joining FCL’s tutoring sessions.

My Children have attended the Peckham branch of First Class Learning for about 5 Years now and it’s had a very positive effect on their learning. My daughter has become a Maths genius.
