First used this company a few years ago to revamp garden after building work. Sarah provided an amazing plan making sure all the areas most viewed from indoors were exciting and colourful. We now have a beautiful cohesive garden. We have been pleased to welcome Sarah back to our garden to enhance further areas which she has done with much success. Because she listens so carefully and then actually tries to fit our brief so closely it has been a very painless experience. Would not have known where to start to get what we had in mind - but now we have it! We are currently liaising with Sarah over a few tweaks and additions and as usual she has some brilliant ideas. We really enjoy our garden now both viewed from inside the house as well as in this glorious leisure space. Very happy to reccomend this company.

I recently had the One Day Consultation with Sarah at North Leeds Garden Design. It was brilliant - a really useful morning spent going round our garden and talking through solutions to the various problem areas and Sarah sent through an incredibly detailed report after spending an afternoon back in the office. She came up with some great ideas for the garden and I've already implemented a couple of the simple ones. I don't normally do things like this but it was well worth the money - I now know where to spend money on the garden and what plants will work well in our soil, which will avoid wasting money in the future on unsuitable plants. I am also more confident about going forward with projects in the garden.

I recently had a One Day garden consultation with Sarah to give me some inspiration and advice on what to do with our garden (we’ve recently moved into a new build house with a fairly large garden area that we wanted to make the best of with some lovely planting while also making it kid friendly for our toddler and find space for a shed!). Sarah spent the morning with me thoroughly going through ideas for types of plants, positioning of plants, garden layout and helped with lots of problem solving too (as the garden space we have has a fairly challenging layout). It was a really enjoyable morning and I liked the collaborative approach that Sarah took, exploring my preferences at every point. From the morning’s session, Sarah produced a wonderfully detailed garden proposal for us and specific instructions for planting. Sarah’s plant knowledge is really impressive, she knew exactly what was best for our soil and the Yorkshire climate. As someone with minimal gardening experience, I now feel like I have a route forwards to creating a beautiful garden whereas before I didn’t know where to begin!! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend! When we bought our house, we were didn’t know where to start with the overgrown garden. We wanted to maintain the established plants and borders but make it low maintenance and easy to stay on top of. Annabel and Sarah created a contemporary garden design, which incorporated everything we were looking for in a low maintenance design. It turned out exactly as we wanted and we couldn’t recommend them more!

I have a small to medium sized garden on a slope, a long list of things I want to do in the space and a relatively small budget - a triple challenge! Sarah really listened and talked through all my ideas and came up with a brilliant design that incorporates lots of planting space for veg, herbs and flowers, a fruit garden, wildlife pond and seating area, whilst dealing with the slope and somehow making it seem bigger than before! It's a joy to be in and wows everyone who visits. Sarah was friendly, knowledgeable and professional and went the extra mile to help me. I can not praise Dean enough, he has recently helped me out clearing out a very overgrown area and would not accept any payment for it. The quality of the work that he provides is always first class. Over the years he has done numerous jobs for myself and my family, he is always prompt, polite and very knowledgeable about all aspects of his business. Fantastic experience with Garden Revamps, laying artificial grass and building planters and decking. From getting our initial quote from Graham to agreeing on the works to be done, the team couldn’t have been more helpful. My mum has just had her garden done and this is her feedback.... A job very well done by Graham and his team. We just had our back garden transformed, with new bespoke tiles and some beautiful looking steps, spaced out safely to avoid falling and made larger than before to give more depth to the overall look, which is stunning and will be so much easier for us to maintain. Graham and his team were excellent. Friendly, hard-working and a great price. The lads turned up early every day and did a fantastic job. Turned our derelict garden into a gorgeous patio and level grass area within a couple of weeks, around 140sqm. Their ideas on how to solve tricky challenges with differing heights and awkward corners were well thought out and their attention to detail was outstanding, they really care about what they do. I can’t fault Graham and his team. They were putting in a long concrete path to give a flat access to our church hall. They were working by the Church and school and were really helpful to people by trying not to get in their way when dropping off children. Graham kept in touch every day to ensure we had everything we had asked for and the path is perfect and many parishioners have commented on the excellent work. I would definitely recommend Garden Revamps. Adding to this review as they have now finished the second section of work putting up a 6ft fence and two more gates covering a large area. Just as with the other job, arrived on time did the job professionally and worked hard to finish it for us. Looks great. Again would highly recommend and we will certainly use Garden Revamps again.

I would just like to say a massive thank you to Graham for taking my garden work on. From start to finish the lads have being awesome and I'm quite picky with tradesmen but have to say that Tom and Shaun have been brilliant and do work thier socks off and the finish product is awesome. I've had my front lawn taken up, cultivated and returfed and the back garden fence has been pulled down and a new one put up. The lads were punctual, reliable, friendly and very knowledgeable. Overall if I need anymore work doing then these are my go to indeed and will be recommending them to others

Luke and his team did a fantastic job transforming our Victorian courtyard garden. We used the designed Marco who Luke recommended and the process was great. Everyone worked incredibly hard and Luke was very hands on and involved on a daily basis. We are absolutely delighted with the end result and I would recommend Wren without a second doubt.

A truly magical gem that surprises and delights. One of the most peaceful and restorative spaces I've had the pleasure to spend time in. This place couldn't fail to bring joy to all who visit. The sheer pleasure of being immersed in such a tranquil space can be seen on the faces of every single volunteer. It's a little escape from the hustle and bustle of life beyond the gate.

Visited here for the first time. What a beautiful garden with plants we've never seen before, a meadow with around 10 beehives, and a lovely cafe. A real gem, we will visit again next year. Cheers guys.

York Gate is a delightful one-acre Grade II National Heritage Garden created by the Spencer family. It delights with a succession of linked gardens (or "rooms"as they are known) which take their design inspiration from the Arts and Crafts movement and were developed thanks to the horticultural skills of its owner Sybil Spencer and developed between 1951 and 1994. Each individual "room" has its own beauty and interest, with a wealth of plants, shrubs and trees, some immediately recognisable, others much more exotic! There are several water features and unusual structures and stonework, a meadow with beehives plus varied and intricate pathways linking the different "rooms". I was fortunate to visit as part of a National Trust garden volunteer's group and had the benefit of a guided tour given by the affable and knowledgeable Head Gardener, who explained how the garden has evolved and continues to do so. There is also a cafe, shop and plant nursery on the site. It is most definitely worth a visit and cannot fail to impress and inspire!

An absolute hidden gem! One of the most beautiful garden to visit in Yorkshire!! Plenty of interest everywhere you looked. There’s lots of different areas to wander and seating in places to marvel at the fantastic handiwork. The cafe had seating both inside and out with a good selection of food and drink. Plenty of parking spaces alongside a gift shop and plant nursery. Highly recommend visiting if you love gardens!!!

Visited the garden on 3rd September. Although it only has limited parking we had no problems finding a space. We were greeted at the entrance by a friendly and informative guide who gave us a brief overview of the gardens and amenities. As it was close to lunchtime the first stop was the cafe. This has a large seating both inside and in the garden. The food was good, we both had Paninies which were very good and at a good price. The facilities are spotlessly clean. You can visit the cafe without having to pay entry to the garden. The garden although is only 1 acre the design crams in so many small gardens and walkways it seems so much larger. The planting and hard landscaping is wonderful and is well worth the visit. Price is £7 which is very reasonable and even better is part of the gardeners world 2 for 1 ticket offer. The annual price is also a very cheap option at only .£30. There is also a shop and also plant sales again at reasonable prices. I would highly recommend a visit

Lee and Sean came to do our garden renovation in the worst 2 days of the year. Lee rang the day before to confirm and they worked from the minute they got here at 8am - 5pm. Even in the rain. Atkinsons let us down with our promised delivery of our panels and on the 2nd day when they’d still not rung or delivered, Lee went over to Castleford to collect it in his van. They came back this week to sort the adjoining panels with out neighbours and what a job !! There was a wall underneath some strategically placed concrete posts. Wow these boys work !!! They sorted out next doors for them and even cut down some branches that overhang in our garden. Decking and shed painted... Lee rang someone he knew about the old fencing and The Waste Team were here within 20 mins to take it away. I’m gobsmacked at how amazing my “make do and mend garden” looks. We all need a makeover - especially nowadays. Thanks again lads. Told Hubby I’m gonna keep Absolute Gardeners on retainer.

Roy was fantastic ! Our fence had blown down in the bad storms we had recently, I called Roy after researching fencers in Leeds and he came up as one of the the highest rated. Roy was very polite and helpful, you can tell that he is very experienced and gave me sound advise on how he is going to do the repairs and gave me a very reasonable quote. The work was completed timely and without any mess, Roy is very hardworking he was working in sub zero temperatures and into the night just so he can get the work completed for me, I would have no hesitation employing Roy again. Definitely the right man for the job !

One of my fencing panels had blown completely off, so i contacted Hemingway fencing and they called out the next day gave me a great price as it was only a fix up job and completed the work later on that day. Work was carried out very attentively, neatly with no fuss. Was very happy from start to finish. Roy was very friendly, kind and respectful. Just seemed a genuine guy.
