Kevin did a great job in fitting new kitchen work tops, new sink, gas hob and extractor. His tiling above the work tops just finished off a great a job that transformed my kitchen to look like new again. Price was competitive and work clean and tidy. I would certainly use his services again.

Kevin has just finished fitting new kitchen worktops and worktop lighting for me and I can’t recommend him enough. From start to finish he couldn’t have been more helpful and is so easy to communicate with. Mine was not an easy job but he managed to solve any problem that came up and discussed solutions with me along the way. The finished result is perfect as he works to a very high standard. His price was very reasonable and I could not be more delighted. I have no hesitation in recommending him to friends, family and colleagues. I won’t be going anywhere else for future work. So, if you want someone who has excellent skills, is reliable and not overpriced, then look no further - Kevin is the obvious choice.

David installed a cupboard in our bathroom. His work was excellent and we asked if he could make a bespoke wardrobe in our bedroom. Attached are the photos of the completed product. David is clearly an expert in his field with great attention to detail. The wardrobe couldn’t have been better. Thank you to David and Katherine, they’re a very reliable and professional couple. We're recently planning to move house. Since my mum brought a range of her china sets back from Pakistan. There was clearly no space, where we could put our china sets. After doing some research, I've looked online and looked at the work David Gill did in terms of his joinery and was really impressed with the work. Despite them being based in Oldham, David and his wife Katherine came over to the property in Manchester and provided suggestions and designs based on where to place cutlery cabinets in our dining room. Once they provided the suggestions and colour palette for the wood being used, they kept in regular touch with my younger sister based on the overall quote and measurements. David and his colleague assembled the bespoke cutlery cabinets and fits perfectly both sides of the fireplace, whilst matching to the dining chairs. I'm really pleased with how David and Katherine took into consideration that my older sister has a muscle disorder and applied cabinet handles that my sister is able to pull in case she needs access to any china sets. David gave us clear recommendations on how to maintain the cabinets for longer periods of time. Overall, I'm really pleased with the work David and Katherine carried out. We really liked the work we saw on Dave's website and asked him to quote for replacing our mahogany staircase with a new oak and glass one. From the first contact with Dave and Katherine, we were impressed by their knowledge, professionalism and clear commitment to create something that would have an immediate impression and be the centrepiece of the hallway. We are so glad we chose them to do the work because the end product is stunning. The process from quotation to completion was highly professional and stress free. They kept us informed throughout, Dave and Jason arrived when they said they would, worked with amazing drive and focus throughout. The quality of their work is superb. They are highly skilled and worked quickly taking almost no time for breaks, even for brews! At the end of each day they cleaned up impeccably so much so that apart from the changes happening you wouldn't have thought any work had happened, they left our hallway in such an excellent condition. The toughened glass took just over a week to arrive and they fitted wooden panels where the glass would go to make the staircase safe until then. With visiting small grandchildren that was important and much appreciated. We have now exactly the staircase we wanted and we love it. The price was fair, the workmanship outstanding, and the communication throughout first class establishing trust and confidence. We would recommend Dave, Katherine (and Jason) with out any hesitation. And we we will certainly use them again for future projects. Our best experience involving major work without a doubt.

Highly rated and brilliant job from David. We’d been designing and thinking about plywood storage for a few years and David gave us a competitive quotation. He was on time, professional, quiet and methodical, also a self confessed perfectionist. He was also polite, pleasant trustworthy and clean. David have some clever ideas and also listened to our ideas during installation as we altered some bits and pieces. He also suggested removable shelving and importantly designed and built a section to house our washing machine and boiler, which will still allow us to service or remove them easily by removing some of that section. Overall, if we could give 10 stars we would. If you need a skilled cabinet maker, defiantly give David serious consideration when looking at options. He’s 20+ years skilled in shop-fitting and cabinet making so should be able to do most challenging jobs, as was ours.

I would highly recommend Manchester Carpentry. I recently had underfloor heating installed and needed the manifold to be boxed in to stop it getting damaged and to make the area look tidier. Tasked with the challenge of extending a solid oak live edge dining table, Gyles delivered a stunning piece that perfectly complements the existing table. Gyles has made us 3 beautiful oak cottage style doors, the quality and workmanship is second to none. Not had any work done by this Company but met David earlier today at a timber merchant where I was struggling to load four fence panels into my car. He came over to me offering to help, then he asked where I lived and then loaded my panels into his own van and delivered them for me, free of charge, even refusing a tip. Just moved into a new property and had quite a long snag list of small works that needed doing such as trimming of doors & skirting, attaching things to walls, fitting new doors, etc. David was on time, efficient and did a great job! Would definitely recommend and also use again!

We really don't know how to thank Mike. Giving a 5* review just doesn't seem enough. Mike did work on our staircase few yrs ago & he was so meticulous, we said we would NEVER look for another joiner. We decided to have a new kitchen a good while ago, but due to his backlog of work due to the Pandemic we were happy to wait, not once, did we think about finding a different joiner. We're SO happy we waited. He's come up with a few tips & ideas to give us more space, which the kitchen company who planned the kitchen didn't. He came up with a great idea to make the hob area a feature- it looks fantastic! He has gone above & beyond our expectations. Contacted Mike to provide a quote for some internal wooden doors. He came down and measured up and gave us a trade book to look through. Really nice guy, very knowledgeable and professional. He gave us a quote which was really well priced. He fitted us in after a few weeks later and got 6 internal doors fitted along with hinges, locks and handles. He completed the job whilst we were in work so he is very trustworthy. The work was completed to a very high standard. He is very tidy and took time to clean up. I had a fantastic day ... and with zero experience I came away with a bowl (and a lid)! I'd not have thought it possible from a standing start and it is entirely down to Jake. He is a great tutor and provided the perfect mix of direction, encouragement, fun and technical info. It's a brilliant hands on course and I can definitely and wholeheartedly recommend it!

Jake's a good egg. Well humoured and easy going. I had a great time learning more about woodwork and joinery on the cabinetry course. I keep looking at the table thinking "really? That happened?" Quality time. Makes a decent brew too! The 1 on 1 style is perfectly suited and the space he teaches in is a great example of what's possible. The world needs more like him. Cheers!

This is a fantastic course for anyone looking to get their first woodworking experience. Rather than working in a large workshop that you can never imagine in your own garden, Jake's course is in his personal workshop and it makes you feel like you could get there too one day. If you want to understand the first principles of taking a piece of wood and transforming it into something stylish and elegant, then this is for you. It is 1:1 so you can learn as fast or as slow as you like. It isn't all handtools and traditional approaches so if, like me, you want to make the most from tools and machinery then Jake will show you how to, both safely and efficiently. Jake is enthusiastic and encouraging as well as being a great person to talk to. I cannot recommend this course enough, it is fantastic and I am so glad I found it. Alex D

Sam fitted 11 very tricky internal doors as all were different sizes and needed trimming down. Extremely reliable, decently priced and did a great job when we kept getting let down by other joiners.

Sam built & fitted a new gate with code lock which is absolutely brilliant. He also fitted garden trellis to an outside wall which looks super. He's a lovely guy & his work is really high quality. Would highly recommend!

I contacted Sam with the possibility of turning a very small alcove in my lounge to an office area with shelving, pull out desk and doors in which you could close it off when not in use. He understood exactly what I wanted and has built the most amazing, solid desk and shelving units. It looks so much better than I thought possible. Sam was quick and efficient.
