I don't usually write reviews but Anthony did an unbelievable job! We inheritied some sash bay windows in a conservation area so needed to be renovated like for like. what i thought would be a quick sand and paint job myself turned out to be a nightmare bodged job from the previous owners (car filler and hundreds of screws to cover the rot!) Anthony has brought the back from the dead to their orignal glory and our sash works after being nailed, glued, painted and whatever else shut. Not only the carpentry expertise, he also restored the limestone sill, removing the old concrete that was causing it to crack! I honestly think there's not many people who would have been able to fix what we had, he really is a jack of all trades and a master of all of them based off what he did and he's a great guy, will be giving him a call when we next need something

Anthony came the same day to help sort an issue I simply didn’t have the tools to do myself. The job actually turned out to be more complicated than first thought, but he helped find solutions and even helped to strengthen some other areas that were not fitted correctly by the original installers. Very knowledgable and professional service. Would recommend!

Anthony was marvellous. He repaired my newel post quickly and efficiently. We are very happy with his work and he even kindly tended to an odd job that helped me out a lot. I'm very pleased I chose him to do the work and thoroughly recommend you do the same. He even made a video for me which I can't upload, but see photos.

Can not recommend Alzate Carpentry enough. After meeting Sharps and other local carpenters, Raul visited us and mocked up a design to replace fitted wardrobes in our flat. The design was perfect and more economical than the competition. Everything is custom made, using high quality materials and he colour matched the wardrobe with our room. Installation was quick and easy. Communication was excellent throughout. Give these guys a call - you won’t be disappointed!

Alzate built me a cupboard in my bathroom. They were excellent in the design process as they came for multiple planning visits, provided a great CAD design and were helpful in giving updates to the design on request. The issue was that when it came to installation, the finish did not quite match the design in that the edges weren’t flush with the wall. Whilst this wasn’t possible as the wall wasn’t straight, it wasn’t communicated to me and so I asked for it to be fixed. This lead to delays and additional expenses. Overall I am very happy with the final product, thought the service of the design process was excellent, but the service at installation was lacking due to the poor communication and it has left a sour aftertaste

Thank you to Optimal Maintenance for completing a job to an excellent finish and within a very tight timeframe. Mostly, I would like to highlight the absolutely brilliant help Katherine, Jan and Aisha gave over the phone to deal with and promptly resolve the problem. Their kindness and flawless communication skills were very much appreciated.

Optimal responded quickly following a flood causing serious wall and floor damage. Efficient, experienced and considerate survey produced a detailed and accurate quote, including a good match for engineered oak flooring (with sample) and works were carried out promptly to suit us and done within the expected time frame. Floor preparation and laying, plastering and painting of walls and skirting all finished to a high standard. Flat was left with furniture all placed back in position and nice and clean. Really positive experience in an awful emergency.

Great service with tenants. We had some issues with our flat upon moving in which had left us frustrated with our agency but as soon as Optimal were contacted, they sent out someone who really took the time to do a proper inspection and listen to concerns whilst explaining what could be done. This left us much more reassured and made the whole experience much less stressful, helped more by how quickly the report was written and sent off for approval.

We needed our drawers re-done in our wardrobes. It was a very bespoke project as we didn't need something built from scratch, but within an already built structure. It was wonderful working with Solid Carpentry, and the final product was beautiful! Dmitriy was attentive to all the special adjustments we wanted for our drawers and patient if we changed our minds on some details. Solid Carpentry used high-quality materials and did a great paint job. We love our drawers!!

We have a difficult to make use of small boiler room in our flat. In need of more storage space we got in touch with Solid Carpentry. They did such an excellent job from start to finish. We can now finally store all of our luggage and random things and the room actually feels bigger now. Well done on getting the shelves fitted in such small awkward spaces. Andy did a great job with our bath frame and panels. He was kind enough to fit us in on short notice after completing some other work. He was responsive, punctual, worked well and quickly and was a really nice person to work with! Andy also had the benefit of cutting items remotely so was able to keep our bathroom incredibly clean, and was tidy in general. I had a great experience with him and will definitely use him again for future work.

Andy was fantastic. He did a great job making our very worn out front of house like new again. He was also really helpful doing some smaller jobs, fixing a floor board, grouting our back patio etc. We will definitely use him again as other jobs come up. I chose Andy because of the reviews and they’re right. He was responsive, professional, good at communication and an all round nice person. He clearly takes pride in his work and cares that you are happy at the end of the day and would go the extra mile (including literally picking up a specific paint I chose for us) to make sure you are. Also reasonably priced so couldn’t ask for anything more! Will try and update final photos later as sadly we currently have scaffolding hiding how good it looks!

Andy is absolutely amazing. I've had him do loads of stuff over the last few years, including building bookcases (he's a trained carpenter), staining my floors (which he made look 1000% times better), painting, and resealing windows. He's extremely reliable and honest, and this is confirmed by a former neighbor who first introduced me to him. He's also very tidy, so you don't even know he was there after the work's done. In short, I highly recommend him!

I contacted BBOJ regarding some painting and decoration required at my flat. They were very quick to respond and send someone to have a look around the property for a quote. The quite was provided within a week og my initial email. It was also promptly updated a few times as my requirements kept changing. The final quote was very reasonable for a professional quality work. Once agreed, I was provided the commencement date of the job. I also liked it that they let me buy the cabinets, curtain tracks and shower screens unlike other companies that push cheap quality products on customers to save money. The tradesman, Ko from BBOJ was very polite and professional. He did the job to perfection and also advised me regarding best placement of cabinets, curtain tracks etc. He cleaned the flat each evening before leaving so there was no mess left around. I am very pleased with the end results. I would definitely recommend BBOJ. They are good value for money i.e. their quote may be slightly higher than many other companies but its worth the quality and standard of work. They do not cut corners. I will be using them again in future.

BBOJ has done a fantastic job painting all walls, ceiling and woodwork in my flat and making good damaged plaster and woodwork. All involved have been efficient and careful and the outcome is outstanding. They have responded quickly to all requests and helped with several other small jobs that were needed. Toby offers a high quality service with great professionalism as well as a friendly and pleasant manner. He’s diligent and meticulous; great at brainstorming and setting out the blueprint and practical implications of the project in detail, making the actual project run seamlessly and efficiently.
