The frame for my patio door needed some mending, replacement of timber, and revarnishing. An excellent service - Julius visited promptly and provided a clear quote. He and his worker came on the date agreed and carried out the work to a high standard. They worked hard and cleared up after themselves. I've used this firm before and have always been happy with the result.

Julius and his team were fantastic from start to finish being super friendly and professional. I am overjoyed with my new media cabinets that have transformed my living room especially the addition of the LED lights recommended by Julius. You can clearly tell they work with passion with their handcraft-ship and huge eye to detail. Thank you guys so much for your work, will definitely be hearing from me again for any future projects.

If it was possible to give 10* to JJ Carpentry and Maintenance Ltd I would. I had quite a complex issues with some very large doors to my property and had experienced very poor and expensive repairs previously. The work JJ did was outstanding and I couldn't be happier or more grateful.

Julius made new front double solid oak doors for our church building to our architect's specification and installed them using our existing hinges, which proved difficult but was expertly overcome by excellent carpentry.

John McMullen's work is truly outstanding. He is a complete perfectionist, and the work is done to the highest possible standard, on time, on budget, tidily and always with a smile. We have had the following things made: wardrobes (for 5 bedrooms) made, bookcases, a TV cabinet, window seats and radiator covers. We have never had a problem and some years later, the items still look like new. We cannot recommend John highly enough.

John worked on the eaves unit for our loft conversion area. We are very pleased with his work; it looks even better than we had imagined. He was efficient and immensely professional, always following up with any questions we had and working to schedule. His commitment to the work and his skills produced a high-quality final job that now we are very pleased to have in our loft room. The area was left neat and clean and we would definitely use him again!

I had been looking for a while to get some alcove cupboards and shelves made and after speaking to a few companies I decided to hire John for the work. The final product is of exceptional quality and John was able to install it all within one day. It has transformed our living room! John was great in giving advice on shelves and depth of cupboards and his communication throughout the process was excellent. I would highly recommend John. Paolo and his team (Dennis for the carpenter work) did an amaaaazing job at building a bespoke mezzanine in a relatively small bedroom with high ceilings. Paolo designed exactly what I wanted and Dennis did a fantastic job. Super nice, extremely clean, efficient, to the perfection. The structure is rock solid. It is impressive. I will ask them to do many more storage spaces in my flat in a few months. I warmly recommend them. They are just perfect.

Needed some expert assistance fixing a door and adjacent architrave. I called Constantin in the morning and he was very quick to pop round to have a look and give a quote. He had availability for the next day, so booked him. He arrived on time and was consistently courteous, friendly and willing to impart knowledge. He successfully completed the job neatly and tidily, on time and in budget, with great quality workmanship. I would recommend Constantin and would use him again.

Constantin was really great. Very efficient with good attention to detail. He fitted a very large front door for me and I couldn’t be happier. I wanted an aged look that matched my previous door, and he did this very well. I would most definitely use him again and can happily recommend him to anyone else.

I would not hesitate to recommend Constantin and his team. Constantin is a master Craftsman and his skill and attention to detail have elevated our house a hundred fold. Our project included a whole new staircase, new doors, various elements of joinery, decorating and much more and Constantin project managed everything- the process was seamless. Every day the house was left immaculately and Constantin communicated with us throughout. He and his team are great guys and are a pleasure to work with. We are delighted with the results.

I had a request for bespoke furniture - a unique feature seat floating inside front bay window. As it's an old house the walls were not even or symmetrical. Dominik and his team understood my vision of what I wanted and returned a beautiful finished product that is built to fit the the walls, but tricks they eye. Only I know it has unique and necessary asymmetry to compensate. The finished product is just what I wanted and described and balances the space perfectly. I also had them build bespoke floor to ceiling wardrobes in the master bedroom. They are well built and pleased with the high standard of finish that will last. Highly recommend.

These guys are great......very happy J&D Building found them for me. They fitted wardrobe doors in my master bedroom. It was a tricky job as the carcass had already been built and had a tricky corner. Dom and the team exceeded all my expectations. I recently hired Thomas Carpentry & Joinery to make and install two alcove wardrobes in our bedroom and I couldn't be happier with the results. Our wardrobes are handmade and built to fit our space and needs perfectly. The quality of the finish is outstanding and has far exceeded my expectations - it was worth every penny! Grovewood joinery recently replaced 4 double sash windows in my house, which were tricky to copy due to them being arched and replacement windows for a listed building. They did a great job, and I’m delighted with the new windows, they are an exact match. Great communication from the team providing updates on progress of the windows being made as well.

Andy did a fabulous job restoring a recently purchased antique chest of drawers. He did a quick and free site visit to assess the piece of furniture and gave an honest evaluation of how it could be restored and what the costs would be. He was able to fit me into his busy schedule because I was anxious about getting the piece fixed. He was prompt and brought all the necessary tools. He walked me through the issues and fully restored the drawers in a timely manner. It wasn’t the most obvious solution, but Andy is knowledgeable, skilled and creative at solving issues. He left the area clean and was tidy during the process. Besides being a skilled carpenter, he is also kind, warm and professional. Would definitely recommend!

We recently asked Andy for help to modify a piece of furniture. He was very quick to respond and visited to see the furniture and give us a quote. He then did a great job. I would definitely recommend and work with Andy in the future. He's also a really nice guy.

Andy was fantastic. He did a great job making our very worn out front of house like new again. He was also really helpful doing some smaller jobs, fixing a floor board, grouting our back patio etc. We will definitely use him again as other jobs come up. I chose Andy because of the reviews and they’re right. He was responsive, professional, good at communication and an all round nice person. He clearly takes pride in his work and cares that you are happy at the end of the day and would go the extra mile (including literally picking up a specific paint I chose for us) to make sure you are. Also reasonably priced so couldn’t ask for anything more! Will try and update final photos later as sadly we currently have scaffolding hiding how good it looks!

David at Cordleier Joinery is a top-notch carpenter. He crafted a beautiful set of wardrobes for me, all made to measure. Using CAD software, he ensured every detail was just right. David's communication was excellent; he was always there to chat. Highly recommended for bespoke furniture.

Amazing service, would highly recommend!! David helped us with fitting our kitchen in our flat. We have a very small, tricky kitchen and David he was able to provide detailed advice for the entire process, providing bespoke solutions to some of the more challenging smaller spots in our kitchen. The kitchen was finished to a high standard, with extra care being taken to make sure everything was level and correct. As our flat is around 120 years old this was crucial to ensuring it was finished to modern standards! David also provided recommendations of great quality tradesmen when we needed other services.
