Had a fabulous roast pork here on Sunday. Absolutely delicious & very generous portion. Followed by an equally delicious apple crumble & custard. We will definitely be returning.
Such a lovely cozy pub with amazing food & service. Accommodating & very dog friendly. Lovely staff. Roasts were spectacular & best pie I've ever had. Will most definitely visit again.
Lovely pub very pleasant. The food was good and well presented. The menu was a little limited. The Compass Inn has only recently reopened, so establishing itself. I'm sure that the atmosphere and menu will grow as people start to visit. Well worth a visit.
Recently changed hands and the place is much better. The menu is fab if you love pies and Yorkshire puddings, if not then there are a few other choices and some specials too. The pies are delicious. The yorkies are delicious too - all stuffed with yummy, hearty and comfy fillings. Two choices of pies - some from a local farm - some made on-site. We had the ones from the local farm and they were delicious. The interior is a little random and quirky - perhaps they will change this over time.
Absolutely love this little gem ever since Vicky and Ash have taken over! Always so friendly, our bassets love coming here too!! Great choice of ales and ciders and the food is amazing! I had the smash burger and it did not disappoint, they have a great chef there!!
