I asked Paul to deal with a number of jobs, including repairs to timber sash windows, boarding over an outside doorway, and repairing fencing. I am very pleased with the results. Paul is a lovely man. He always arrived on time and left everything tidy. Price was reasonable too. Highly recommend.

Paul replaced two rotten window cills in out downstairs. Everything was done well and to time and there were no issues. Price is good and work is good. Efficient and accurate and timely. Good job, well done.

Andy and Pete consistently confirmed that we'd made the right decision when we asked them to build a single storey extension onto the back of our house and a replacement porch. They were not only highly skilled, patient, honest, trustworthy and communicative, they (and their team) were just great people to have around. That's pretty vital when they are going to spend months on your project! They used their vast experience and network to quickly resolve any challenges which arose and have left us with a life changing extension that we enjoy each and every day. The gorgeous extension is filled with light due to an apex roof housing two Velux windows and a complete wall of bifold doors with glass gable end. The Utility Room houses our white goods at a raised level for ease of use and our very swanky porch (!) is rendered as per the bottom half of the entire house. Quite a transformation! A few friends of ours recommended Bassett Carpentry for our kitchen extension. We couldn’t be happier with the work and would recommend them to anyone else. Our extension was not straight forward but Andy & Pete were so easy to deal with. They were honest and upfront with costs, and kept to the agreed price plans. Andy and Pete, with Nick and Graham, carried out our loft conversion this year and we are so happy with their work. What we liked best was their time-keeping (they ran exactly to schedule) and costing (they ran exactly to quote, except for some extras that we requested). As important was their pleasantness in working with. They are very courteous, great communication, and any problems were listened to carefully and a sensible solution found. Our project was quite large (dormer L-shape loft conversion, complete reroof, chimney repoint, 2 new bathrooms and fitted cupboards and wardrobes). Their workmanship is of a very high standard and we strongly recommend them.

Updating my review following a second job completed by Pete and Andy - excellent job again, and can thoroughly recommend - the work that they do is of the highest quality, but they are also very good post-completion at coming back for any snagging - have always felt everything is well communicated and have stuck to quoted prices. No hesitation in recommending and would certainly use them again.

We have used Lewis for years now for two kitchens, a bathroom and hoping for our staircase and conservatory soon. He goes above and beyond every time. His attention to detail is spot on and he always recommends extra touches which is so helpful. We wouldn’t use anyone else!

Dan custom built us storage under our bathroom sinks, a window seat with storage, a beautiful fitted wardrobe in an alcove in our bedroom,added extra shelving and added shelves in our kitchen cupboards.He designed us what we wanted and we had detailed drawings. He kept us informed every step of the way.He is a very tidy worker and every evening left the place tidy.Dan takes huge pride in his work as the finished products show.I can highly recommend Dan and we will definitely use him in the future for any other projects.

I’ve had Dan work on 3 separate carpentry projects, all of which he has completed beautifully. Each one was bespoke to a design that mostly existed in my head. Given the age and lack of right angles and level ceilings and floors, he’s had had to work miracles. I can’t rate him highly enough.

Excellent craftsmanship! Dan at Wills & Co exceeded our expectations in designing our bespoke living room shaker style alcove cabinets and floating shelving tailored to our requirements. Dan was able to firstly lay the new golden smoked oak wood flooring finished with beading running along the skirting boards which compliments our new column radiator & newly fitted plantation shutters. We wouldn't hesitate to use Will's & Co again again and we've already booked future work for our hallway to match. The quality of work carried out here speaks volumes added by all the complements we've had from guests visiting recently. 10/10

We had Elliot come and fit 12 new oak veneered doors. The quality and the care that Elliot puts into his work is exceptional. He didn’t rush the job and he spent time ensuring that the fit and finish of the hinges and door hardware was spot on. Everyday when finished he left the work area clean and tidy and genuinely cared about the way in which he works. I would 100% recommend Elliot to anyone who would like carpentry work done in their house. A genuinely nice and well mannered guy who is always on time and goes the extra mile. We will be using Elliot again for some new projects that we have in mind.

Lewis advised and replaced the bannisters on our stairs. He did a great job and was polite and courteous. I will be using his services again…. And I did, this time to replace all our internal doors with oak ones. Craig and Garath did an amazing job; they were really friendly and polite and left no mess.

The experience from start to finish has been fantastic! I was given a really reasonable quote, and though additional costs were added (due to extra work which needed to be carried out) these were also really reasonably priced and I was kept well informed about it before the work was carried out. I'd also discovered what can only be described as a nightmare of hidden pipework under the old larder (before work was due to be carried out), and though my own worries about this caused delays with the work starting, Lewis was really supportive in addressing this and was really quick to respond to all of my concerns. Garath fitted my new cabinets, moved my extractor fan/boxing, replaced my windowsill and also worked on a few extra areas in the kitchen and I'm honestly impressed with how good it all looks! All his work has been topnotch and throughout the process he was always polite and took the trouble to answer any questions I had. Work was also finished really quickly which was a bonus! My thanks to you both - can't recommend highly enough!

Very happy with our new gaming table, it's solid and robust (glad I opted to have the legs as removable, I don't think it would have fit through the door otherwise!). Each of the four "leaves" fit together nicely. We purchased a plastic cover to go under the table cloth to help protect any spillages from reaching the baize mat. We have had a couple of games on it already and it has the cat's approval for comfort. Communication with the company was good throughout. Would recommend for board gaming enthusiasts!

Applewood designed and built and fitted a bespoke under stairs cupboard. Very happy with the quality of the end result, that matches the internal lounge doors very nicely.
