We’re so delighted with the bed Tim built for Sophie, it is exactly what we wanted. It’s beautifully designed and constructed. Tim is so efficient, skilful and tidy and clearly takes pride in his work. The price was really reasonable and Tim was very happy to listen to our ideas and adapt things accordingly. Tim built us this amazing shed extension onto our existing summer house. The picture doesn't do it justice but it's basically bomb proof! He opened up the summer house so we can use the additional space for shed stuff, and put up a new internal insulated wall. His craftsmanship is top notch and he worked very hard. Thanks Tim!

Timber Tim recently provided his one of a kind service with creating the decked veranda that we were in big need of, following build works to our home. He made the entire experience from start to finish exceed all of our expectations. Tim as a person is a rare find in the world we live in, and his workmanship is second to none, alongside his understanding of our situation and set up was extraordinarily kind and accommodating. We are beyond happy with what Tim has created and recommend him very, very highly with any timber needs, requirements and potential designs. We cannot thank you enough!

Highly recommend Jonny. His work is brilliant, he is reasonably priced, punctual and polite. He recently built a cabinet and shelves for me from scratch and the results are fantastic. We spoke briefly about what I wanted to achieve, and he immediately came up with recommended solutions and then smashed through the work. Anytime I need carpentry services in future, I will 100% be phoning Jonny, which is probably the best thing I can say!

Jonny fitted nine doors at my house last year. Firstly he is a really nice guy, secondly he is a good carpenter, and lastly nothing is too much trouble. For example I wanted to instal the old doors at my daughters and Jonny took them all over there for me in his van. I was very satisfied with the workmanship, he has the right tools, knows how to use them, and the end result has lifted the whole house. He did most of the cutting outside to reduce the dust inside, but hey its wood working and it makes some sawdust. I thoroughly recommend Jonny, he has good attention to detail, cleans up after himself, will happily adjust anything once it’s fitted, and his prices are competitive.

I used Smart H Interiors to build a floor to ceiling cupboard, box in an electric meter and install an integrated washer dryer and new counter top. Mitchell O'born Carpentry did a fantastic job. Fitting very heavy doors upto 50kg with precison lining up the new to old hinge cutouts. 11 doors fitted in total all matching designs but varying in size and weight. He was extremely helpful in the consultation phase and I found him to be very trustworthy, polite and very clean. I'd like to point out his level of craft is top "notch" highly recommended.

After five years of having Nick as our carpenter it has suddenly dawned on me we have never left a review!! What a terrible oversight. Nick is amazing. No job too big or too small and each undertaken with meticulous care and attention to detail. Nick has moved and refitted doors, built a wardrobe, redesigned a fitted wardrobe, rebuilt stairs and repaired several external wet rot damaged window ledges. We have been more than happy with all the work Nick has undertaken. Living in an old house, having moved from a modern vicarage, there are always maintenance carpentry jobs that need doing to keep the house in good repair and no walls are straight making many jobs challenging. But Nick undertakes them all with careful consideration, patience and expertise. He is honest and trustworthy and we are thrilled to have found Nick and wouldn’t have any other carpenter. We would recommend Woods Contemporary Carpentry unreservedly.

Nick did an amazing job fitting 2 doors last year (pic1), so we had him back to fit 5 second floor doors. He overcame plenty of issues with the door frames and door handles but with perseverance he did a fantastic job. He’s very particular which is really good and does not do shabby work, he’s booked in for another job which I wouldn’t have anyone else to do. Definitely recommend 100%. 12/12/23 I’d thought I’ll add a few more comments and pictures as I’m unable to post a new review. Well it’s been nearly a year since Pete and Andy and the team took on my loft conversion. I can say that their professionalism, skill and just hard work finished my project on time to the day !!! Updating my review following a second job completed by Pete and Andy - excellent job again, and can thoroughly recommend - the work that they do is of the highest quality, but they are also very good post-completion at coming back for any snagging - have always felt everything is well communicated and have stuck to quoted prices. A few friends of ours recommended Bassett Carpentry for our kitchen extension. We couldn’t be happier with the work and would recommend them to anyone else. Our extension was not straight forward but Andy & Pete were so easy to deal with. They were honest and upfront with costs, and kept to the agreed price plans. Their team who completed the electrics and plumbing were also superb. We were very nervous as this was our first project, but Bassett Carpentry exceeded all expectations and did the perfect job. Andy and Pete, with Nick and Graham, carried out our loft conversion this year and we are so happy with their work. What we liked best was their time-keeping (they ran exactly to schedule) and costing (they ran exactly to quote, except for some extras that we requested). As important was their pleasantness in working with. They are very courteous, great communication, and any problems were listened to carefully and a sensible solution found. Our project was quite large (dormer L-shape loft conversion, complete reroof, chimney repoint, 2 new bathrooms and fitted cupboards and wardrobes). Their workmanship is of a very high standard and we strongly recommend them.

Absolutely in LOVE with our new fitted wardrobes. Richard really did a fantastic job. Not only did he work with us designing something to suit our budget the work was done in a day with the room left cleaner then when he started working. Would highly recommend.
