We had delicious food and drink at the Butser Roundhouse Cafe today. I’d highly recommend their coffee and toasties! Great service and a very much appreciated wc. A lovely little cafe, in a beautiful spot and definitely worth the climb!

We love this little café! We walk up the hill from QE Park with our dog regularly and the views from the top are spectacular. The café is a wonderful reward when you get to the top! Friendly staff, very generous sausage baps. A surprisingly good range of food and snacks for such a remote location. Free doggy biscuits and water bowls available. We just love coming here for a treat.

Dog friendly! Beautiful walk up and around Butser hill and the roundhouse is open Thursday to Sunday for hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, ice- creams, shakes, snacks, cakes, toasties and breakfast rolls. The best coffee! Dogs can have a puppachino for £1 and there's a water bowl. A friendly, family run business and a welcome pit stop on our walks :) the toilet is open until around 4pm and there are picnic benches. There are several routes up Butser hill from various locations but if you fancy just a walk around the top and the views, there is a road that goes up there from the A3, just past the Hampshire hog but be aware that there are pedestrians, horses and cyclists that use the same road. There is car park with a path that leads to the roundhouse. The car park isn't free but you can pay by card when you leave and it's only a short walk from there to the top.

Really great place for walk, coffee, lunch and views! My dog loves and you can walk to QE Park as well. Stunning views around as its such a high point on South Downs.

So friendly and lovely food. Landlord was really chatty and looked after us really well. My daughter didn't like her meal so he gave her dessert free! This is how service should be. 10/10 will be going again. Thank you.

We've just moved to the area and have had lunch at the Farmer Inn twice now, and both times it's been amazing. Friendly service, lovely atmosphere, welcoming patronage, delicious food. Can't wait to go back again.

Gorgeous county pub. Visited and sat outside in quite a large party! This pub is absolutely PERFECT on a sunny day! Ordered in advance and food came out quickly and staff where very efficient and friendly!!!!!!! Food was lovely! The pub has a huge field with a play park and swings….due to have an additional play area put in too! Very impressed and would 100% recommend. Thank you to all the staff for a lovely afternoon!

A perfect country pub with roaring log fires and wood beams. Very friendly service with lunchtime and main menus plus a special board. Good portions, great quality and reasonable prices. Best to book well ahead as can get busy. Two car parks on offer with large play area for the kids. Well worth the effort to get there.

A beautiful old traditional country pub. Have eaten here a few times now and the food is fantastic. Friendly staff, lovely location and great food with very decent portion sizes. Highly recommend this pub! Definitely worth booking in advance though as it has always been packed when I've been.

Friday lunch time visit for us, table booked in advance good job because it got very busy. My wife ordered the steak and ale pie/creamy mash potato for me was the sirloin steak/chips and father-in-law cod n chips and our niece smaller one plate ham egg and chips. The pie had lovely pastry with large tender "chunks" of steak and creamy mash surrounded with cabbage and carrots topped off with gravy my wife's overall opinion was "delicious". For me I had the steak n chips £23 so I was expecting a tasty piece of beef cooked to my liking and I wasn't disappointed it was perfect say no more... The cod n chips got a thumbs up from my father-in-law and our little one enjoyed her ham/egg/chips. Good service from the very busy waitress staff, we will return.

Amazing place. Have been in the area for work and have visited them for dinner. Staff are friendly and polite, food is beyond amazing. And dog friendly place too. Spotless clean dining area and wonderful service overall. Will definitely go back when in the area again!

What can I say negative about this place? Absolutely nothing. Very friendly staff, lovely clean bar and restaurant. Gorgeous food, especially the salt and pepper squid starter. The batter was to die for. The steak and ale pie was so nice the steak was a melt in your mouth moment. A definite place to return to and would recommend to everyone.

It was a quiet midweek evening. Service was cheerful and polite. Food was excellent and served in a very reasonable time. The atmosphere was very comfortable with a warm fire and good old style pub decor. Will definitely be going back and will be recommending to friends.

Recently visited Chairmakers Pub and had a great experience. We tried fish and chips, salad, steaks, along with wine and beer. The environment was amazing—spacious and welcoming. The food quantity was generous, making it a satisfying visit overall.

Always very clean and well stocked and have always found the service excellent. I particularly like the fact that I get a 25p discount if I bring my own cup, and the vegan options.

Unfortunately the pies and Vegan Wellington were off, but a nice meal all the same. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Took note of our dietary requirements and warned where a dish we had selected would not suit. Very helpful after our "accident" with our latte.

One of our favourite country pubs to go to, they have a restaurant area and a bar area with plenty of parking and outside seating when the suns out too! The log fire is a beautiful addition to the pub and we love spending afternoons here. The food is delicious, good portions and the wine selection is great. 🩷I recommend the Rose Malbec!

Had a lovely evening meal. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Vegan burger was the best I've ever had, so so tasty. Puddings also delicious.

Visited on a Monday lunchtime alone and stayed for dinner and dessert. Place is much smarter than I remember on previous visit many years ago. Clean and tidy ( including toilets ) with excellent service, attentive well presented staff but not imposing. Food itself was great...''Pie of the day' with delightful cheesecake to follow ( only crticism was raspberry glazed top added nice colour but little taste ) Whatever keen to make positive recommendation. Food above average standard and nicely plated ( see pics). Prices acceptable. Would happily dine again x

The waitresses are very professional and quick to realise when you’re waiting I have been for about a year and the owner and his son Adam have made this cafe one of the best

Friendly service and excellent food. Usually get the full English and my wife orders bubble and squeak or poached eggs. Always had a great breakfast and coffee.

I was out walking with friends and we called into Olives cafe for lunch. The food was fantastic, the staff were brilliant and the cafe was spotlessly clean.

I'm late to this review but felt obliged to write one because of the amount of times I ordered from them. This was One of the best places I ever ordered from, mostly having their American Pancakes which were incredibly good. The Food Quality was almost always Perfection, and the way it was packaged was perfect. It's a shame they don't do delivery via Havant and Waterlooville Eats anymore but I thoroughly enjoyed all the orders i had from this Establishment. Hopefully they partner up with HaW Eats again soon, one can hope. Thanks for the service and care you took Olives. :)

So a freezing cold day in early January, and my car is going for a service and mot. Will take at least a couple of hours i'm told... I dont know the area but thought I would walk and see what I came across. After around 10 minutes, I could smell roasted coffee, and in the distance I could see the costa logo. Warmth woohoo! In I head, to be greated by a very friendly female member of staff, who enquired about my day - I explained why I was in the area, she told me not to rush which I thought was really nice. I have my medium special blend cappucino with a shot of caramel - lovely - and a toasted sausage bap also really nice. I sat on a comfy chair, I used the free wifi, and read The Times (how civilised). I spent about 1.5 hours there and for £6 I thought it was a bargain really. Whilst there I watched the two female members of staff, and I was impressed at the dedication they showed to their roles, talking about what they needed to do next, always making the time to say hello and show interest in their customers. Ultimately, its not just a good cup of coffee that makes a venue, it is also the overall enviroment and I would recommend based on my experience today.

We quite often take a stroll here. Coffee is usually hot which is a bonus most places it’s like warm at best. The iced coffees can be hit and miss (could be the way I order it) there is a really nice way and then the other way is still nice (think it’s the ice is more blended is better) Staff are friendly, it does always seem really loud in there for some reason. Could just be the small size. Overall great costa coffees
