When you live in a small community like this after living in big cities you miss those special high quality restaurants you get in the city. This place is the exception to that rule! As you can see in my reviews I have been to a fair few well known pizzerias up here in the north west, for those that know the places in Manchester and Liverpool you will know places like Ruddy’s and Crust. This place competes and surpasses in so many ways. The dough / crust is just SO good. Not too dry, not to soggy. You can see the chef making it fresh to order and the pizza takes no more than 2 minutes to cook in some kind of specialised oven. The toppings are fresh and they are generous with their cheese! A MUST try is the garlic cheese bread. OMG. I can’t think of a place I have tried better. The steak they use is just full of flavour in the steak and Stilton and the Nutella calzone for those with the sweet tooth is one you won’t forget. The service team is really friendly and ordering online for collection was easy enough. At the back you can see that they have an area for you to take your four legged companions, I need to come back with Roscoe 🐺 It’s such a cosy place inside with really comfy sofas and chairs, be it for 1, 2 or 12 people. Orrell you have an envious pizzeria, topping it of it’s family owned and you can feel it. My new favourite pizzeria.

Best pizza in Wigan, hands down! Amazing food (lots of fab veggie and vegan options) and fast, polite service from the team. The restaurant was a little quiet, even on a Saturday night, but the music and food made up for it. Order the tomato and pesto garlic bread to start 🤤

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Upper Crust Pizzeria in Orrell, and I can confidently say it was one of the best experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and immediately felt welcomed. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, setting the stage for what turned out to be a truly memorable meal. Our waitress was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and always there when we needed her. She made sure our drinks were constantly topped up without us ever having to ask, and her service was always prompt yet unobtrusive. It’s rare to find such dedication to customer care, and it really enhanced the whole dining experience. The food? Absolutely delicious! Each dish arrived piping hot, fresh from the oven, and bursting with flavour. You could tell that only the finest ingredients were used. The pizzas were perfect—crispy on the outside with just the right amount of toppings. Every bite was a delight. Overall, the combination of fantastic service, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere makes Upper Crust Pizzeria a standout dining spot in Orrell. Whether you’re looking for a casual meal or celebrating a special occasion, this is the place to be. I can’t wait to return!
