Visited here to experience Afternoon tea. The best part is it is offered all day so we prebooked a table for 11 am. Recommend reserving in advance via their website. Dishes we tried: Queens afternoon tea (3 tier) Hatters Afternoon tea (2 tier) excludes cakes/scones Will definitely visit again to try the other items on their menu.

What a lovely interior this place has. We had the Hatters afternoon tea - it was tasty and the just about the right amount of food - you have a nice selection of teas as well as a decaf option. They even serve brunch too like smashed avocado, eggs and salmon etc. The staff are fabulous and really went out of their way to find space for me when I needed to come in earlier. I live in Liverpool but will be coming back again to try the brunch and more afternoon tea. My mum loved the place too - she said it felt magical!

This is my first time having an afternoon tea. I love the theme, the food was delicious, freshly made and the scones was lovely, warm and not dry. I had the queen tea one and the pot of tea gives you three cups full. The server who served me was lovely and friendly 😊 I would come back to this place again and would recommend this place. 👌 Thank you.

What a wonderful place to enjoy afternoon tea, celebrating my 60th with my friend; Sally. The building is beautiful, with so much character and atmosphere is lovely and relaxed. Ida was so nice and attentive, customer service is five star. We would highly recommend a visit, plus it's close to the vibrant Canal Street, shops and bars in the City Centre too. First time trying this place but will be back no doubt. Tried the large breaky and it was lovely , the sausage looked a bit anemic but they were the highlight, Nice and firm with no nubbles of fat in them. Egg was done perfect and the rest of the dish was eggscellent. It wasn't swimming in grease. And the fried bread was done to perfection and not a sponge of grease. Also the cup of tea with two sugars was lovely and full of flavour. Will try the monster breakfast next time Highly recommend this place over other shabby cafes.

Absolutely lovely breakfast in here, spotlessly clean, good price, service was quick, 1 of the best breakfast i have had for a long time. Definitely give this place a try.

In Manchester at a concert last night and searched for local cafe for breakfast. Reviews were great so headed over this morning. Don’t be put off with location and builders coming and going. We managed to park ok. Small breakfast and cup of tea £6. Bargain. Cooked perfect and I’m a food snob and like good food. Tea - proper cup of tea and made perfect. Staff super friendly place lovely and clean. Pay a visit if you want a good quality cooked breakfast.

Prices for food are very good. Got a large breakfast which I fully enjoyed. Wait time is a little long but food is freshly prepared so didn't mind the wait. Staff are friendly.

The man serving us was extremely friendly and happy to go through the options of what was available. The pistachio french toast was amazing, and really good value for money! The drinks were delicious and presented in a gorgeous way, absolutely would go back and recommend to friends!

A convenient brunch spot, located right next to St. Peter’s Square—perfect if you’re short on time. The restaurant doesn’t particularly stand out in terms of design or atmosphere, but the staff were very friendly and kind. The food was decent and enjoyable; we ordered the Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon and the English Breakfast.

I very much enjoyed a Fruit Burst tea from here- served steaming hot. There were several exciting-sounding hot chocolates on the menu that I need to go back and try!

Situated next to St Peter’s square, opposite the Art Gallery, Vienna Cafe is the perfect location for a nice brunch. Food and drinks were nice, we had potato and leek soup, full English breakfast and Biscoff pancakes; we got orange juice freshly squeezed which ended up being the star of the brunch. The cappuccino was also good. Overall the food didn’t particularly stand out but it wasn’t bad at all. They offer a very good range, would recommend paying a visit to this spot

What a lovely friendly place, with good coffee and absolutely top-notch scrambled eggs on toast. I’ve been coming here most weeks for a few years, and I will miss it now my life is changing.

We had sandwiches here, and while the food was very good and reasonably priced, we were disappointed that tap water wasn’t available for free, leaving bottled water as the only option. This feels out of step with common practice, especially when all three of us had also purchased coffees. Speaking of coffee, it fell short compared to other options in the area. My suggestion would be to enjoy the food here, but for coffee, head next door to Ancoats Coffee Co, where the quality is significantly better. Overall, a good spot for a sandwich, but there’s room for improvement in the drinks offering and overall experience

With bre-booking for middle Eastern food , we had an amazing , mouthwatering food. Kebba , stuffed vine leaves, fatayer,hummus, falafel , baklava ..and so many yummy food ..highly recommended👌👌👌.

Pretty decent cafe with the usual cooked breakfasts, fish and chips, pies etc. they don't cater for allergens (no alternative butter). Generally a really good affordable meal (£9) would return

I had the privilege of attending a Latte Art class with Dale. 8 participants and you have a 2h session which consists mainly of practice, practice and more practice! I found it super helpful as it would be impossible to practice so many times in a row at home, so having the resources and space to practice something over and over was so helpful and I’d say you really get what you pay for. It’s a really good value class, fun and you even walk away with a bag of beans of your choice. I feel like I made progress during the class and feel a lot more confident now in trying latte art at home. You get to work with high quality equipment which is a treat. Dale was very approachable and friendly and I’d totally recommend this class to anyone who’s interested in working on their barista skills.

First, let me start with something unusual, which is a barista school. There is a coffee roaster. I expected the coffee to be like any other specialty coffee, but it wasn't anything like that except for the professionalism of the coffee art. The taste of carrot cake is slightly devoid of cinnamon flavor. Service is slow, with only two baristas working the cashier and making coffee. The cafe's atmosphere is terrific and carefully designed to create a unique experience. The prices are great as I got two flat whites and a carrot 🥕 cake for only £10. I recommend visiting the professional cafe. My review is subject to the time and place I came at, which was 10 am on a Saturday. What I don't like, you might like, unlike me, so I invite you to try the cafe.

We attended for a 3 hour barista course hosted by Dale and really enjoyed our time. Dale is very knowledgeable and a great facilitator for the session. The training is well structured and gives plenty of opportunity to practice making espresso and latte art techniques. Left with a greater appreciation of the skill involved and confidence that I can make a good coffee!

My husband and I took part in the Beginner Barista Course this afternoon with Dale and had an amazing time. Dale was so enthusiastic and patient with us all, answering all our questions and re showing us techniques. 3hrs absolutely flew by and we learnt loads - absolutely recommend. Top tip - don’t drink any coffee before because there’s plenty to taste during the course!

We absolutely loved our visit here. The sun was shining so we sat outside. There was a makers market on in the square in front of the cafe, with a guy playing the saxophone. What a perfect setting. The service was prompt and our food that followed was delicious. We would definitely return.

Great quick lunch spot! Always full of really fresh and delicious sandwiches and salads. The sandwiches can be heated up to go. There are plenty of seats to eat in. Plenty of staff on hand so service is quick with a smile and the prices are affordable too. The tuna melt is delicious as well as the focaccia sandwiches.

Food: The food was great and the portion sizes were good (something that is said increasingly rarely nowadays!). The coffee was nice and they had a range of milk types available. Only improvement is that the coffee could have been slightly hotter. Service: We were seated instantly and served very quickly, in a friendly manner. Staff seemed welcoming and happy to chat with customers. Atmosphere: The decor is nice and the location is great too. Price: The prices are quite reasonable given the location and quality of the food.

I visited Fig + Sparrow based on the numerous 5* reviews on Google. I came on a Friday at 1pm, and it wasn’t too busy. Perhaps 50% of the place was full. There is a good amount of seating available, and when I arrived, there was a small but delicious-looking selection of pastries and bakes on the counter. There is always a wide variety of drinks available on the menu, and a bar at the back which serves savoury food. I asked the lady if the counter items were baked fresh and if they were vegetarian (halal in my case), and she said they were baked fresh, and suitable for vegetarians and halal foodies! The staff were very inviting. The lady explained what each item was, and she even gave me her personal recommendation. 10/10 for such caring staff :) I ordered a Cinnamon Bun and Latte to eat in. Those buns looked too good to overlook. Also, exceptional presentation of all the bakery items. The Cinnamon Bun was delicious! It was sticky, not too sweet, and full of cinnamon and brown sugar flavour. The Latte was also yummy, and had a lovely pattern on top. Overall, I am very happy I visited Fig + Sparrow, and I will definitely bring my friends next time. This place is too good not to share with others! I would highly recommended this place to those who like coffee shops, and just want to sit and chill :D

Probably one of the best cafes within NQ! I’ve been a regular for almost a year and the service never fails to disappoint! The staff are very friendly and attentive. They serve the best hot chocolates and probably one of the best brownies within Manchester! Would definitely recommend this cafe to anyone.

Great place for sandwiches and cake. Both which were amazing. Ham and Gorgonzola focaccia. Fabulous selection of teas as well. Really nice vibe too!

I recently visited Sugar Junction with a friend, and we had an absolutely delightful experience! 🥰 Lavender Latte ☕️ This was a highlight of my order. The latte had a beautifully subtle floral aroma without being overpowering. The balance of sweetness and lavender notes was spot on, and the creaminess of the milk made it incredibly comforting. It’s definitely a must-try for anyone looking for something unique yet satisfying. Scone with Cream and Jam 🥯 The scone was fresh and had a perfectly crumbly texture that paired excellently with the thick, rich clotted cream and fruity jam. Each bite felt like a little bit of heaven. Ambiance & Service ✨ The cafe itself has such a welcoming and warm atmosphere. The staff was friendly, and attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, Sugar Junction delivered delicious drinks, heavenly scones, and a relaxing ambience on every front. I can’t wait to go back and try more from their menu! Highly recommended. 🌟

Had lovely afternoon tea, maybe should have ordered one to share!! The cafe is quirky but worth a visit. Our only small negative is we wished we had been asked which cake we would like, pistachio is not my thing.
