Alissa was lovely and gave me a beautiful set of classic lashes! The room was small and cosy, with decent music playing. I'll definitely be returning for my infills in a few weeks 😊

Highly recommend! I’ve visited Jess at Alma twice now and had a fantastic experience both times - the salon is lovely and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Jess listened to exactly what I wanted for my cut and colour and did an amazing job! I’ll definitely be back!

I was so excited when I heard Alma was opening in Matlock, I had to book in as soon as it did! The booking process was so easy, all done online & confirmation given at the end. Upon visiting Alma, I was seated at the plush sofas and given a form to fill in. Once I'd done this, I was seated at one of the nail counters. I had my nails done with bio gel by Louise. She was so lovely, really friendly and instantly made me feel comfortable. I opted for gold nails (a bit of sparkle for Christmas) and the treatment was lovely! I also had biogel toes so Louise asked me to take a seat by one of the foot spa basins. This was also lovely and I opted for navy blue which looked lush! I was also offered a drink which came with a gingerbread cookie. The salon itself is absolutely stunning - light and airy and very spa like! It's modern and classy and it's been renovated to an incredibly high standard! Prices at Alba are also super competitive! I'll definitely be visiting again and might have to book a massage soon! Thanks so much for such a lovely first visit to Alba, I'll be raving about you to all my friends and family! x

I have been using Jess for a few years , I highly recommend her. Jess goes above and beyond. Everytime I go I feel like I'm having a treat, when I have my hair washed it's like a mini head massage, which is fantastic. The salon is very modern, clean and everyone is very friendly and welcoming . Sometimes I can't decide what I want doing with my hair , Jess talks through different ideas, colours and cuts which would suit my face structure, fashion trends etc . I travel from Yorkshire, 1.30hr drive since moving up north as I don't trust anyone else! Well worth the long drive . Thank you Jess

My daughter and I have both had our hair done by Jodie at The Hair Retreat recently. We are really happy with the results!! She gave us some great tips too, which I really appreciated. It’s such a lovely, calm salon, we both felt comfortable there. Easy, free parking. Jess and Jodie are both so friendly and put you at ease. We are booked to come again soon.

Beautiful salon with calming decor. Got my hair cut here by the lovely Jodie. She is so accommodating, understanding and did a beautiful job of my hair, just what I wanted!🥰 I had a nice cup of peppermint tea too! I am very happy I found this salon after not knowing where to get my hair cut for a while. l will definitely be coming back
