I have been seeing Denise for my hair for years, I wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair. She knows how to ensure your hair stays healthy and always does a perfect blow dry. Highly recommended ❤️

Denise has been doing my highlights for around a year and in that time my hair has become much healthier and started to grow after 6 years of staying shoulder length. She takes care not to overlap bleach and takes sections off bit by bit, to avoid breaking the hair and time it right. We have to start again to get the damaged ends off but I trust it wont take long to grow in her hands. Victor is also wonderful, talented and such a nice person, highly recommend this salon.

A great health and beauty business which has a very luxurious but friendly fee to it. You’re relaxed as soon as you step inside. Natalie is amazing at what she does for or waxing needs too and I’ve enjoyed going to my appointments since I came over from another salon.

Went for first time today for a life saving back massage, best I've ever had,so relaxing and really effective at relieving muscle tension. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Will definitely return !

I’ve just had the best hot stone massage and mini facial from Emily, booked by my husband as a surprise. What a lovely, relaxing experience and the gift at the end was a real bonus. Will certainly be going back.

I adore this place from the moment I book an appointment. From the moment you walk in the door the aroma of relaxation is just there, you are taken to a quiet room and most recently I was given a lavender neck warmer which felt incredible and soothing. I was taken upstairs for my massage which always makes me relaxed and the staff are always incredible at making you feel at ease and comfortable. I also had booked in. Pedicure as I was due to go on holiday so that was done after and again I cannot fault the place.

I often feel nervous going to get my hair cut but the staff at Ursulas were friendly and chatty which put me at ease. I was also able to book last minute for a Saturday, only ringing the day before. First time in a long time a stylist has listened to my simple request and done a perfect job! And also for an amazing price! Will definitely return

Just had my hair cut and coloured by Lauren and she was amazing! It’s been a long time since I found a hairdresser who listened to what I wanted. I am SO glad that I saw Lauren’s info on Facebook and then had a consultation with her. I am really happy with my new style and I feel that I’ve gained some confidence with it. The colour is the best I’ve had in years. Lauren is so professional and lovely. I am so pleased to have found her! . 🤩

Fantastic cut & beautiful colour with Lauren! What a treat it is having such a specialist for bright and bold punky colours in Glossop! Previously I've done nape shaves & side cuts with Lauren. But this time we went for a pink, orange and yellow balayage style. RUHE is warm, bright and friendly location too.

I needed to find a new Glossop-based salon this summer and I have since had treatments by Mel, Jen and Charlotte. All of the girls at Gloss Up are lovely and they have all welcomed me into the salon this year. I have been trying to grow my nails for years and Jen has helped me to achieve results I want with BIAB- I can’t believe they’re my own nails! Mel always does an amazing job with my brows and she’s now helping me to achieve a more natural lash look using the lash bomb treatment. I have also had a lovely bouncy blow dry by Charlotte recently too. Gloss Up is definitely my new go-to salon for everything.

I had the most wonderful luxury facial at Gloss Up. Melissa took time to explain everything and it was fun, unrushed and relaxed. The facial itself was exquisite, and even included a neck and shoulder massage. The products used felt luxurious and nourishing, and when it was done Mel gave me great skin care advice. I would recommend this treatment to anyone, go ahead and treat yourself! :)

Today was my third back massage with Laura, and I have to say she is amazing! I have had numerous massages in the past but have come away feeling no benefit or really uncomfortable. I really struggle with my lower back but most therapists have concentrated on my upper back even though I have told them my problem area. I'm so glad to have found Laura, she takes note of what I say and adapts her massage to my individual needs rather than a general routine. For the first time, I am now re-booking regular appointments due to feeling like it's beneficial and worth while to me. (Plus she is so lovely!) I would 100% recommend.

Just wanted to add to my review, the online shop is a fantastic new addition to The Little Retreat. Just used one of the hand masks, love how when you take it off, it reveals a hand cream has formed, for you to rub in. It's left my hands feeling really nourished & soft, a lovely treat after a hard week! Can't wait for them to re open! I have being going to The Retreat for a number of years now and have always been really happy with the service Tarnia & Cara are very professional in their work & are very friendly people. Tarnia has been fantastic during lockdown posting daily beauty advice & tips on Facebook she has also been selling for a small fee & delivering nail removal kits. I would definitely recommend The Little Retreat to anyone who is looking for beauty treatments & can highly recommend manicures & pedicures.

Staff are so lovely. Welcoming, warm and friendly. The salon is hygienically and spotlessly clean. All staff wear masks and gloves. I have been going to this little fabulous salon for approximately a year. Never been disappointed and always very impressed, happy and feel good. Had quite a few treatments, nails, facials and waxing. Everything is explained in great detail about the treatment that's being provided, before, during and the aftercare. Very reassuring and you feel at ease. I love the rooms downstairs. Its a haven of tranquility, with heated treatment beds, fleece blankets, soothing relaxing music and ambient lighting. I wish Tarnia and her team every success as they all deserve it Deborah

Laura is the queen of micro blading. She has saved my over plucked brows, and given them shape and definition again. From my first consultation, she's worked hard to give me the perfect brows, and always made sure I had everything I needed for after care. I’ve been wanting to get my eyebrows microbladed for so long and after a lot of research and a recommendation, decided to get both my brows and lips done by Laura. I cannot recommend her enough! She is an absolute perfectionist and I’m over the moon with the results, it’s transformed my face and I don’t need as much makeup now. Laura is lovely and reassuring, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend! I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I’ve recently had combination brows done with Laura, after first having my previous brows (done elsewhere) removed with laser. From start to finish Laura has provided professional advice and guidance, recommending somewhere to have the old pigment lifted, explaining the procedure with reassurance as well as providing thorough aftercare support, with a little aftercare pack to take home. I’ve had numerous compliments on my new brows and they healed perfectly. I’ve just had my 6-week top up and this was exactly the same, where I felt comfortable and in safe hands. I love my new eyebrows and would not hesitate to recommend Laura to anyone else wanting permanent makeup.

Absolutely fantastic salon. Sarah did my wedding makeup, I changed my mind, messed about with ideas but nothing was ever a problem. Sarah stays late for me when I ring for a last minute appointment, she is just amazing! Extremely friendly staff and very accommodating. Sarah pays so much attention to detail and perfection. I am always 100% happy with all my treatments and would never go anywhere else.
