Recently started using Fiona and have followed her into this new venture! I went to the new salon once prior to lockdown, and all appropriate safety measures were in place. I have very wacky hair colours and Fiona is never afraid to attempt what suggestion I have next! Even though it’s a time consuming process she always remains so calm, and her time management is amazing! I would not have the patience to do it myself! Amazing quality, amazing prices! Always willing to help with any questions and advice on what would look best. Already booked in for my next appointment, can’t wait to see what you’ve done with the place 😍😍

Fiona is like the queen of hair…. Everytime I go in I show her a completely different style and she always does it exactly how I want it! You leave feeling amazing! Small salon dedicated working! I would recommend to everyone! 5*

Just moved to the area so was nervous about finding, and placing my trust in a new hairdresser.....I need not have worried!! Fiona took the time to listen and understand what I wanted in terms of both cut and colour. She absolutely delivered on both counts. Plus, she is a very warm, welcoming person, who made me feel at ease from the minute I stepped into the salon. Fantastic!! Highly recommended.

I can genuinely recommend The Haven Salon... Prior to my first visit, I was lucky if I had my hair attended to on a yearly basis (I know), but thanks to Fiona's talents and helpfulness I'm now a regular Salon visitor! A very friendly, professional environment and always a friendly chat to be had!

Carly & Anna came to The Forest Lodge Hotel at 6.45am on Thursday 1st September 2022 to do make-up and hair for the bride (my daughter), myself and 7 bridesmaids. Carly & Anna did an amazing job and worked so hard on us all and the make-up and hair was perfect! By 8pm that evening our make-up and hair still looked so fresh. I want to thank you Carly & Anna for being such perfectionists and helping us make Belle’a wedding day a huge success. We had a good laugh too in that hotel room and goodness knows how 11 of us fitted in the room but it was a very calm and happy atmosphere. I would highly recommend these 2 ladies to anyone whether they are getting married or otherwise. Aly Waller.

Carly did wedding hair and make up for me, my Maid of Honour, and my mum at Shottle Hall in April 2024. Everything was perfect, she helped make the morning getting ready super relaxed and calm. Hair and make up stayed in place all day, and even long into the night when the dancing was in full flow. We looked flawless and I felt totally at ease with Carly. I would 100% recommend Carly to future brides. The whole process was so smooth, from the first discussions via email, to the bridal trial, to the final moments before walking down the aisle.

I’ve been going to embellish for a couple of years and love the place. The staff are so friendly. My stylist Sarah is the best stylist I’ve ever had. She is attentive and caring. She listens to how you want and like your hair. She offers good advice about your hair. She is absolutely brilliant. I always love my hair and get exactly what we have discussed and decided on. What a very talented hairdresser she is. I would recommend her to everyone. I’ve sent friends to her and they all feel just like I do. The salon has been newly refurbished and looks absolutely beautiful. All the staff are friendly and attentive. I am offered a drink several times during my visit and Sarah always tells the person making it how I like it so I get a perfect cup of coffee. These little things are important. I always get a wonderful head massage off Sarah as part of my hair wash because she knows how much I love it. If I only want a very slight trim then that is what I get. No taking up to an inch off like other stylists have in the past. Sarah always listens to what is important to me and wants very much to make sure I’m happy with what she has done. Her customers are important to her and she wants them to leave the salon feeling amazing. She takes pride in what she does and always gives her very best to make sure her clients are happy. I highly recommend embellish and definitely recommend Sarah to everyone. A very talented knowledgeable and experienced stylist indeed. I have put some photos on of how beautiful Sarah has made my hair look over the years with different cuts and colours.

I have been going to Embellish to see Lily for a few years after previously going to many different salons….Lily is now the only hairdresser in my life! My hair has never been better and I’ve had so many comments about how good it looks. I really look forward to going to appointments, I’m sure it’s not just because I’m middle aged & don’t go out much but because Lily is so lovely and talented. We have a good laugh whilst chatting about the most random things. The salon is very nice & clean and they do a good latte with proper Biscoff biscuits! Everyone there are friendly & welcoming, I would never consider going elsewhere.

I’ve been having my hair done with Dan for years and my hair has never looked better. I tried many other salons in the past and was never fully satisfied with the results. Embellish has such a nice atmosphere and always provides a top quality service. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. Would never go anywhere else.

I was so excited when I heard Alma was opening in Matlock, I had to book in as soon as it did! The booking process was so easy, all done online & confirmation given at the end. Upon visiting Alma, I was seated at the plush sofas and given a form to fill in. Once I'd done this, I was seated at one of the nail counters. I had my nails done with bio gel by Louise. She was so lovely, really friendly and instantly made me feel comfortable. I opted for gold nails (a bit of sparkle for Christmas) and the treatment was lovely! I also had biogel toes so Louise asked me to take a seat by one of the foot spa basins. This was also lovely and I opted for navy blue which looked lush! I was also offered a drink which came with a gingerbread cookie. The salon itself is absolutely stunning - light and airy and very spa like! It's modern and classy and it's been renovated to an incredibly high standard! Prices at Alba are also super competitive! I'll definitely be visiting again and might have to book a massage soon! Thanks so much for such a lovely first visit to Alba, I'll be raving about you to all my friends and family! x

So happy with my hair!! Went in for a trim and to change up the style to frame my face better, Lilly was absolutely lovely. She took her time to talk through exactly what I wanted and checked in with me at every step to make sure I was happy. This was my first visit and I will definitely be back!

I had the pleasure of working with Millie yesterday on a styled shoot and she was an absolute delight to work with. She was punctual, amenable, talked me through each stage of the look and the final result was just flawless! My makeup stayed put on a rather windy and chaotic shoot whilst running about with a couple of Alpacas! It photographed beautifully, complemented the look and I felt absolutely gorgeous. Wow! My nails are fabulous! Have been suffering from ridges and split nails that snagged on everything!! I’ve tried everything but nothing worked…Millie was recommended by my sister so went yesterday and she resurrected my nails!! Best thing ever as been putting it off for years!!

Fantastic salon; both Laura and Freya, are extremely talented hair stylists, (wether it's for a cut, or colour or even an updo for a special occasion) making you feel a million dollars every time you visit. They are both super friendly and give good advice (if needed) on best hair products, or hair problems etc.. Laura does my hair and I'm never disappointed. I also have a few beauty treatments with Freya, each month, which includes, eyelash tint, + eyebrow wax and tint. It truly is an amazing salon to go to, when you feel you want pampering.. I love my visits to this beautiful little salon, a wonderful relaxing experience every time.💖

Laura is absolutely amazing at her work. She is a true professional and always gives me the the most amazing clean blonde hair. She is fun and super-friendly and gives great advice when you are ready for a change. I 100% recommend this salon it's the best :)

I'd highly recommend Laura-Beth as hairdresser, She made me feel so welcome when I first walked in as I'm not from around here so felt a bit anxious at first but once we started chatting I felt at ease. I've not had my hair cut for while so going there was breath of fresh air as laura cut my hair really nicely and made my hair feel fresh and tidy again.

I was a little nervous as it was the first time in years using a different hairdresser after the one I used in Sheffield closed. Freya and Laura were so welcoming. It’s a lovely atmosphere in the salon. Freya did an amazing job at my restyle. She was gentle kind and constantly checking in as she was going. Thank you ladies.

Nina is such a lovely, warm friendly person, I went to see her as I couldn't do anything with my hair,it was long,thick and a struggle to look after. Nina layered my hair to give it structure and body. I also had it coloured to show through at the bottom.So many lovely comments from people saying they love my new hair style.

Had my hair done today for the first time by Nina. She was absolutely lovely & made me feel so comfortable. My hair was nearly black & is now a gorgeous multicolour of ash, caramel, blonde balayage. The description doesn’t do it justice. AMAZING 🤩❣️🤩 Thanks Nina xxx
