I use abby silah to get my nails done and can not fault spider... However I found Nicki when she worked at top cut (opposite the old corning pasty shop in the derbion) when she told me she was moving there i was pleased.. I cannot fault Nicki, all I doo is sit in nickis chair and she knows exactly how much I need cutting off my hair and for this exact reason I will never go to anyone else.

Friendly staff. My daughter especially loves getting her hair cut here. They make her feel fantastic.

Absolutely amazing salon! Everyone is so professional and lovely, really great atmosphere where you can relax and enjoy the service. My hairdresser Nikki never disappoints, she's absolutely brilliant with short haircuts! Would highly reccomend x

Altho I live in Sawley I travel to Derby to get my hair done and have done for the past 5 or so years, I found this salon in Derbion called class act, it was a walk in service so ideal for me who decides things on the spur of the moment, anyway they moved out of Derbion just outside near the Ram and were rebranded Abby Sillah hair as Abby is now the owner. They are around average price for a cut and blow dry £25-26 and are now appointment and walk ins. The two stylist I use are Karon or Simon if Karon is away as they both cut my hair how I like it.

Frankie is the most lovely and professional beauty therapist I have ever been to! Not only does she make you feel so comfortable, her talent is amazing. I have had classic lashes twice now with her, and she always gets the look exactly how I wanted. I wanted to focus on length rather than volume, she talked me through what she could do, and of course they ended up looking lovely and long. They also lasted me over 3 weeks looking in great condition, especially given the helpful after care advice Frankie provided. Gorgeous salon and just so relaxing when someone is so welcoming!

5 ***** star service all the way from beginning to end. Being over due for a haricut I booked here for the first time last week after I found out about them from Frankie and Rosa. Frankie booked me in with her mum Carmela. I am a funny so and so when it comes to changing haridressers, but the girls were very polite and so I figured why not, when I phoned Frankie booked me in. The traffic was bad that day due to road works and I ended up running late, so I called ahead to explain I was on the way and to check that it was still ok. Carmela was just as polite as her daughters and said no problem. When I arrived my first impression was what a lovely place, bright, clean, fresh and well laid out, I was greeted as soon as I opened the door and made to feel very welcome, in fact the level of service was outstanding, I can not for the life of me remember when I received such a high level of customer service. The chair was comfortable, I was offered a drink, and then asked what I would like (this is where I become an awkward customer), but I am the worlds worst at describing what I would like done, but this did not phase Camela at all, she gave me a few suggestions and then said if I was happy to leave her to it, I was, so I did. She explained things as we went along, we had a nice friendly chat and a little while later my hair looked great, I was so pleased. I will be going back when it needs cutting. With such great service, very professional and amazing skills with a pair of scissors why would'nt I. I highly recommend them and if you are looking for beauty therapies then Frankie does those at the same place. Thank you for the best hair cutting experience Ive had in I don't know how long. ____________________ Update: I have been coming here for over 6 months now, the service level is every bit as excellent as it was the first time I came. Everyone here is very friendly, welcoming and professional, I have been recommending people who have also been and are continuing to go. They have said that they too have had positive experiences here and that they are telling friends and family, which for me is great as you always like to know that when you recommend someone they follow through, and here to the best of my knowledge, they do, every time with every person. Highly recommend trying them for hair or beauty. I have also added a couple of photos to show of their nice Christmas decorations.

I have been visiting DaynNight to have my hair cut and coloured for many years, and have never had a problem of any kind. They are also extremely helpful with the making and rearranging of appointments. All the staff are very welcoming and friendly.

Came to have my wedding nails done.First time coming to the salon and it was so relaxed and the atmosphere is lovely; you don’t feel like you have to engage in ‘chitchat’ if you don’t want to. Nelly did an excellent job; she is very attentive to detail and I got exactly what I asked for. Well worth the money I spent. Will definitely be back in the future!

Katie has been cutting, colouring and styling my hair for over 20 years. I would highly recommend Katie for her knowledge, advice, skill and friendliness. I have hair extensions with Katie and I get lots of compliments on them - you wouldn’t know the hair isn’t my own! I look forward to my appointment each time- we have a natter, whilst I sit in the welcoming salon with a cuppa, and I leave with hair that makes me smile.

I have been coming to The Strand ever since I moved back to the area 9 years ago. I have really flat, oily hair and so wanted a perm to give me curls and body so I initially saw the owner Rachel (who does perms there). Right from the consultation appointment I knew that I was in the best hands I wouldn’t ever go anywhere else. Rachel and her team are friendly, extremely knowledgeable and always take the time to make me and now my little girl feel really special and looked after. I also now regularly see Nelly based there for my nails who is also excellent and the best nail technician I’ve ever had. I wouldn’t ever trust anyone else now, it’s a home from home and would highly recommend them (as I have done many times). Thank you ladies for continuing to provide such an amazing experience.

I went to Erika’s Beauty for my eyebrows and am really happy with the process and result! Erika was fantastic! She was so welcoming and very informative in how she explained the process for getting my eyebrows done with micropigmentation. Erika is very professional and an expert in her craft, and I highly recommend her! I’m looking forwarding to going back for the touch up and to see final results but am 100% confident in them already. Plus her salon is such a great place to be and the staff there are so lovely!

I first visited Erika at her old salon in 2019 to have my eyebrows micro bladed and also powder brow mixed which have lasted over 5 years. I visited Erika again last week in December 2024 to get a touch up of powder brow and slight micro blading and I couldn't be happier. She is extremely talented and makes you feel very relaxed and comfortable in her beautiful salon. The aftercare was explained very well and I have received many lovely comments since having them done. I will certainly visit again in the future for more treatments and my eyebrows done again.

I visited Erika’s Salon earlier this week. I was very very pleased with the result. The salon staff were very welcoming and Erika was lovely. She is very experienced and explains the procedure and after care fully. I also feel her prices are very fair and reasonable. Highly recommended her.

Took my little boy here for his first haircut and was so very happy with the service we received. I was a little worried he wouldn't sit very well for it but Emily was amazing with him, so patient and calm and made the whole experience stress free. Went here to have my old weave removed, highlights done and new weave fitted and I’m beyond thrilled with how it turned out, my hairs never looked this incredible out of all the hairdressers I've been to and I've never been half as happy with the finished results as I have been at Henry Wills. Carmel did such a professional, thorough, fantastic job of it and was such a kind, lovely, outgoing lady which made the whole experience even better.
