Gav has done so much work on our house over the years - from bespoke carpentry (like benches and wardrobes) and plastering, to laying a patio and fitting a bathroom - and not only is he very skilled, but he's also a super nice guy and very fairly priced. He'll tell you what he's going to do, he arrives on time and then does the work. You literally couldn't ask for anything else.

Gav has done loads of work I'm my home since I bought it. From plastering to bespoke shelves and cupboards, skirting boards to hanging door, he does it all including some teaching along the way. I couldn't recommend him enough!

The question you should really be asking yourself is why would you not get Gav in? Offers up clear and fair estimates and a real attention to detail in what he delivers; little things like a proper clean up of the area or looking to maximise the use of the materials purchased, just go a long way to cermet a top-notch service. He's also just a really nice guy. I've engaged him a few times now and is absolutely my go-to to get projects done I can't/won't do myself.

I chose to ask Dave and Caroline to do work on my house on the strength of their reviews, I was not disappointed! Initially the paths were jet washed at a third of the price 'requested' by a previous contractor, holes in floor tiles were repaired, wallpapering done, gutters cleared and the porch painted. This time, the kitchen was refurbished, with new wall tiles, worktops, sink, taps, hob, dishwasher and washer/dryer. The finish was excellent, I noticed that Caroline was shaving 'dust' off a wall tile in order to ensure a correct fit and Dave simplified the intricate 'Heath Robinson' under sink plumbing. Dave and Caroline went beyond expectations, both worked late to make sure that I was not inconvenienced and all with a cheerful attitude. I was thrilled with the result, and will ask them to return to plan and execute changes to the bathroom. Thank you to you both for such a fantastic job and for the tea, soup and hot buttered toast!

Would highly recommend Rob to anyone as he can turn his hand to many things and is trustworthy and reliable. Recently had my loft insulated and boarded and there was minimal disruption or mess. Rob reused the old boards where possible to keep the cost down and has also repaired a hole in the ceiling. Thanks to Rob and Charlie for their hard work.

Bobby-man-can maintenance has done a lot of work for us. We are DIY disasters and find that whenever we ask for a quote, there is never a job too big or too small. Everything has been carried out to a high standard. One of the largest jobs to be carried out was the insulation and boarding out of our entire loft. I am compelled to share my excellent experience with Robert the Handyman. He was recently able to fit numerous fittings for our baby's bedroom and put together a toy at short notice, working well after hours with precision, care, and timeliness. We had been struggling to find a handyman who was available to fit the fittings for our baby's bedroom, as it was a relatively small job and most handymen were booked up weeks in advance. We were also keen to have the fittings fitted as soon as possible, as we were expecting our baby to arrive any day. Robert was able to come to our house the very next day, even though it was after hours. He worked quickly and efficiently, and fitted all of the fittings perfectly. Albert has been absolutely fantastic in the service he has provided. We have had all external windows, doors and patio doors mastic’d. Two broken extractor fans replaced, a set of patio doors readjusted and a new lock, fitted new blinds and a new shower screen. I recently had Lee come over to fit our huge TV to the wall on Christmas Eve. He was not only punctual but also a really nice guy who took the time to ensure everything was set up perfectly. Craig has transformed a very shabby, unloved house by repairing and painting the walls, ceilings and woodwork throughout. He was friendly, thorough and very helpful. He was also able to do a number of extra repair and fitting jobs that I thought of whilst he was there! The house now looks lovely, I'm so pleased with the result.

Contacted P and C and spoke to Craig. I had a minor emergency plumbing job and although he was snowed under with work and had a weekend away planned he managed to fit me in at short notice. I would highly recommend Benvale Home Maintenance - Ben was happy to tackle a variety of issues in our house including fitting a dishwasher, a complicated problem with fitting a cooker hood, putting up blinds and basically anything else we asked him to help with. No job is too much for him he just gets on with sorting everything and I wouldn't hesitate to book him again.

I was very nervous about finding somebody to help with a multitude of jobs which would normally require several tradesmen as there is lots of people that claim they can do everything, but doing it to a good standard is another. I can honestly say it was a pleasure having Ben here, he was not only a pleasure to have round, he was extremely tidy, very fairly priced - the hourly charges generally work in the favour of the customer as he doesnt stop, he had stripped some very old lining paper off for us which was not the easiest but he was patient to get it all off without damaging the walls underneath, he also ensured he put the room back together to enable us to use the room until the plasterer arrives. We will definitely be having Ben back round again.
