Extending our home, to better fit family life, ebbed and flowed between an exciting project and scarily mammoth challenge for many years - mostly the latter! Finding the right team, getting it right and to budget, and for a control freak like me dealing with the inevitable upheaval & having strangers in the house was daunting! Thankfully , through recommendation , Brough Building Services were able to make our dream a reality ; they not only created us the space we’d been dreaming of, but also made the journey an enjoyable one. From our first meeting with Les right up to completion, Les and the team were brilliant, guiding us with our many decisions (beams, walls, windows, units, lighting, underfloor heating to name a few) and doing it in such a way that minimised the stress. They also ensured that the disruption to us, living and working on-site throughout, was minimal and noticeably gave huge consideration to this. Their work is of a really high standard and competitively priced, and the the team were a real pleasure to have around. It’s a huge testament to Brough Building Services that their work comes from recommendations rather than advertising - and it’s a glowing one from us!

Gav has done loads of work I'm my home since I bought it. From plastering to bespoke shelves and cupboards, skirting boards to hanging door, he does it all including some teaching along the way. I couldn't recommend him enough!

Gav has done so much work on our house over the years - from bespoke carpentry (like benches and wardrobes) and plastering, to laying a patio and fitting a bathroom - and not only is he very skilled, but he's also a super nice guy and very fairly priced. He'll tell you what he's going to do, he arrives on time and then does the work. You literally couldn't ask for anything else.

When he had finished you could hardly tell he had been in there! I will definitely be using him for any future plastering work I need doing.

Very happy with the work completed by Tony. I needed my whole chimney breast replastering due to the previous owners doing a poor job of boarding up the fireplace and plastering over the top of it. Tony's expertise in this area meant I was able to avoid future hassle by highlighting what needed doing, including adding a vent to the boarded up fireplace to give it decent air flow to avoid a build up of condensation. Tony was punctual, professional and didn't mess around with getting the job done to an incredible standard. Would highly recommend T H Building and Plastering, and would definitely use again.

I am compelled to share my excellent experience with Robert the Handyman. He was recently able to fit numerous fittings for our baby's bedroom and put together a toy at short notice, working well after hours with precision, care, and timeliness. We had been struggling to find a handyman who was available to fit the fittings for our baby's bedroom, as it was a relatively small job and most handymen were booked up weeks in advance. We were also keen to have the fittings fitted as soon as possible, as we were expecting our baby to arrive any day. Robert was able to come to our house the very next day, even though it was after hours. He worked quickly and efficiently, and fitted all of the fittings perfectly. He also put together a toy for our baby that we had been struggling to assemble. Robert was very professional and friendly, and he went above and beyond to help us. He is a highly skilled handyman, and I would highly recommend him to anyone. Here are some specific things that I appreciated about Robert's service: He was available at short notice, even though it was after hours. He worked quickly and efficiently, but also took the time to do a good job. He was very professional and friendly. Would highly recommend Rob to anyone as he can turn his hand to many things and is trustworthy and reliable. Recently had my loft insulated and boarded and there was minimal disruption or mess. Rob reused the old boards where possible to keep the cost down and has also repaired a hole in the ceiling. Thanks to Rob and Charlie for their hard work.

Bobby-man-can maintenance has done a lot of work for us. We are DIY disasters and find that whenever we ask for a quote, there is never a job too big or too small. Everything has been carried out to a high standard. One of the largest jobs to be carried out was the insulation and boarding out of our entire loft. Bobby-man-can maintenance is trusted and reliable. We have always found his quotes very competitive. Would not hesitate to recommend and would use time and again.

Mark did some work for us on a property we are selling from overseas. He was very professional and dealt with the logistics of us being overseas really well. I had a number of jobs building up and was having trouble finding someone who was prepared to tackle everything I needed. Ben was recommended by a number of friends and I wasn't disappointed. Jobs included replacement of an integrated fridge and freezer, loft access with ladder, bathroom extractor fan replacement and external gutters cleaned including disassembly of downpipes where necessary to remove years of crud build up. Clear pricing, reliable and kept me informed of progress throughout. I would highly recommend Pinfold and I'm sure this isn't the last time I'll call on Ben for ongoing work.

Ben was an absolute star from start to finish. Punctual and honest from the beginning. My job presented more issues than when he first started. Didn't phase him, just went to get more materials and carried on. He didn't make any money on the materials and used his trade discount as well. Ben is a top guy who is multi-skilled and has great attention to detail. Easy to chat to and felt at ease that he did things thoroughly in our new build annexe (blinds, doors, windowsills, trim etc). Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or use again. See you soon!
