I can genuinely recommend The Haven Salon... Prior to my first visit, I was lucky if I had my hair attended to on a yearly basis (I know), but thanks to Fiona's talents and helpfulness I'm now a regular Salon visitor! A very friendly, professional environment and always a friendly chat to be had!

Fiona is like the queen of hair…. Everytime I go in I show her a completely different style and she always does it exactly how I want it! You leave feeling amazing! Small salon dedicated working! I would recommend to everyone! 5*

I have a mad head of hair, curly and a little unkempt when it gets long. Not many places can do a decent job of it. The Haven fitted me in at short notice, because I had a date I wanted to look good for. Fi did an amazing job, real eye for detail and clearly cares that the cut was good and I was leaving feeling confident. Really recommend it, dead homely and seemingly is trying to use natural and sustainable products which is always good.

Recently started using Fiona and have followed her into this new venture! I went to the new salon once prior to lockdown, and all appropriate safety measures were in place. I have very wacky hair colours and Fiona is never afraid to attempt what suggestion I have next! Even though it’s a time consuming process she always remains so calm, and her time management is amazing! I would not have the patience to do it myself! Amazing quality, amazing prices! Always willing to help with any questions and advice on what would look best. Already booked in for my next appointment, can’t wait to see what you’ve done with the place 😍😍

Took my daughter for the first time. They were so friendly and helpful, very accommodating, gave her a great cut and I would say should’ve charged a lot more than they did for the time it took! I’d definitely recommend and we will definitely be going back ☺️

I have visited this fantastic place since I turned up on Diane’s doorstep in a state 20 years ago. My hairdresser at the time was not doing me any favours and I was taken in and every effort made to get my hair back on track. Since then the salon has developed into the Crich Hair and Beauty that we all love and know. Try it and see you will never be disappointed I promise you.

The staff here are so warm and welcoming. The stylists are excellent and I am always happy with my haircut.

Gracie is amazing and has worked magic on my hair . Always wanted low lights but afraid it would be half way hell . O no definitely not in Gracie’s magical hands 🤩 so glad I found this beautiful warm amazing creative team . Can’t recommend them enough .

I had a wash and blow dry booked in with Chris - it was such a relaxing and positive atmosphere, Chris was so attentive and listened to my thoughts about styling my hair, as well as giving me suggestions and tips on how to style my hair in the future. As a visitor to the UK I had been struggling to find somewhere to get my hair cut and coloured. But from the moment I walked into the salon Ashley and the staff made me so welcome and they were determined to fit me in somewhere during my stay in the area. Megan has done a wonderful colour and cut that even my husband commented!! Ashley also called me back as a cancellation came in so I could also get my brows done. You are all team amazing, all of you so friendly and helpful. Thank you so much, all of you. Would 110% recommend this salon.

I had Jess do my hair and I absolutely loved it! She's so professional, so friendly and welcoming I can't wait to go back. I had a balayage for the first time, I wanted something more natural and lived in. Jess had a really thorough consultation with me and explained all the ins and outs which was so refreshing! Fantastic salon; both Laura and Freya, are extremely talented hair stylists, (wether it's for a cut, or colour or even an updo for a special occasion) making you feel a million dollars every time you visit. They are both super friendly and give good advice (if needed) on best hair products, or hair problems etc.. Laura does my hair and I'm never disappointed. I also have a few beauty treatments with Freya, each month, which includes, eyelash tint, + eyebrow wax and tint. It truly is an amazing salon to go to, when you feel you want pampering.. I love my visits to this beautiful little salon, a wonderful relaxing experience every time.💖

I'd highly recommend Laura-Beth as hairdresser, She made me feel so welcome when I first walked in as I'm not from around here so felt a bit anxious at first but once we started chatting I felt at ease. I've not had my hair cut for while so going there was breath of fresh air as laura cut my hair really nicely and made my hair feel fresh and tidy again.

Carly did wedding hair and make up for me, my Maid of Honour, and my mum at Shottle Hall in April 2024. Everything was perfect, she helped make the morning getting ready super relaxed and calm. Hair and make up stayed in place all day, and even long into the night when the dancing was in full flow. We looked flawless and I felt totally at ease with Carly. I would 100% recommend Carly to future brides. The whole process was so smooth, from the first discussions via email, to the bridal trial, to the final moments before walking down the aisle.

I had the pleasure of working with Millie yesterday on a styled shoot and she was an absolute delight to work with. She was punctual, amenable, talked me through each stage of the look and the final result was just flawless! My makeup stayed put on a rather windy and chaotic shoot whilst running about with a couple of Alpacas! It photographed beautifully, complemented the look and I felt absolutely gorgeous. Wow! My nails are fabulous! Have been suffering from ridges and split nails that snagged on everything!! I’ve tried everything but nothing worked…Millie was recommended by my sister so went yesterday and she resurrected my nails!! Best thing ever as been putting it off for years!!

Millie did my makeup for an event and did a great jobm. It left me feeling happy and confident, and it lasted flawlessly all night.

Verve is a fantastic salon in Matlock. I have been getting my hair cut and coloured by Sam for 10 years and am always super happy after every visit! His colour is particularly amazing and he is also really lovely and fun to have a chat with.
