Where do I start with Winters Barns?! I absolutely love everything about this place! The barns themselves are rustic and perfect for any couple looking for a countryside wedding. The gardens and fields surrounding the venue make the perfect setting for couple time. Not forgetting all the lovely staff! They make the day run so smoothly and they are just the kindest people. We had the pleasure of getting married here mid May and we had the most perfect day! We cannot recommend Winters Barns enough. From the first time we viewed the venue we fell in love with it, all members of staff are so friendly and every little detail has been thought about. The layout of the venue is brilliant, giving everyone with different wants a space, plenty of seating outside, tables for dinner in their own room, sofas by the bar which is right next to the evening reception room meaning everything flowed brilliantly without people getting lost in the space. Through the whole process we were kept up to date and had regular communication. The team answers all my emails and questions promptly and a massive thank you goes to Sophie our wedding coordinator who was absolutely fantastic and faultless! Everything was so organised ahead of the day which was brilliant peace of mind for us. On the day everything ran so smoothly with nothing being too much for the team to do. We had several comments from guests about how brilliant the venue and staff were. They helped set up the space and ensured everything was packed away at the end of the night ready for us to take away from the store room the next day. The accommodation is lovely, as was breakfast the next day (to make perfect it would be nice if a fried breakfast could be served but this may be a caters decision). We honestly cannot recommend Winters Barns enough!

My wedding was wonderful and better than we could have imagined. Sally our wedding coordinator did everything in her power to ensure we had everything we needed and wanted. From the moment we walked in for the viewing, we knew Winters Barns was the venue for us. We can’t thank all the staff enough. We used Thanetians for our works annual dinner for around 80 people on Friday 7 June 2019. Our theme was “The Great Gatsby” and we could not fault Thanetians they did a fantastic job in decorating our 8 tables in a black and gold theme. They really listened to what we wanted and made any additions along the way and made the room look fantastic. We were at St Augustine’s in Westgate-on-Sea and we had the Chapel. The tables looked stunning with big ostrich feathers and tall vases with led lights around the top. The table and chairs covers looked amazing really did take our breath away when we walked into the room. Thank you Nikki and Amanda for making our annual dinner brilliant.

We got married at Swarling Manor in January of this year after making the bittersweet decision to bring our day forward by 6 months due to a terminal diagnosis within the family. Myself and my husband could not be more grateful to Lois for everything she did to ensure our day could still be as beautiful and as special as we had planned, despite huge changes to the plan at such short notice. Nothing was too much trouble for Lois, even the multiple last minute requests from a very stressed couple. Our day was nothing short of perfection, the food was lovely, the staff were so incredibly kind to us and the venue itself was perfect! The team did an amazing job from start to finish! We could not recommend Swarling Manor enough and we feel so incredibly grateful to have held our wedding here. Thank you so much!

We were very lucky when we found Swarling Manor when on the wedding venue search. Swarling Manor was the very first venues we toured and we couldn't get the place out of our head. It truly is a hidden gem. The staff were incredibly accommodating and flexible to all our personalised requests (particular signage, rum station, use of the cottage before and after the wedding, sparklers) and no ask was too big. Lois, Jess and Emily really made the process of planning the day easy and again, were responsive to my many questions and emails. Not only this but the food was absolutely incredible. All our guests absolutely raved about it. Kudos to the chef!! The service staff at the bar, serving the food and drinks were brilliant. The grounds are absolutely breathtaking and you can even hear the sheep bleating in the background. The venue has a wonderful alternative if you need to be inside (like us when it rained during the ceremony), the barn is spacious and airy. The gardens are also wonderful with many photo opportunities. There is also a zipline which the guests LOVED. The gardens (and fantastic rose garden) are wonderfully kept and to mention you have full run of the place - guests can go wondering and it was peacefully quiet. The charm of Swarling is that they really provide an incredible experience and can really make your wedding personalised to you. They do not churn out weddings daily so they have the skills and time to really listen to what you want and need when it comes to your special day. I have thousands of words to write on how brilliant our big day was at Swarling and cannot recommend them highly enough. Angie & her team are absolutely amazing! I’ve had the pleasure of ordering my daughter’s birthday balloons with Angie and although I have less than a week’s notice Angie made me 2 balloon stacks and a “2” balloon arrangement all in Paddington bear theme which all my party guests commented on. She even delivered them, nothing was too much trouble! I also work with Angie to create all of my acrylic cake menus for my wedding cakes, they always turn out beautifully and I can’t wait to see the next one she creates

Angie is amazing! She literally made any idea we had become reality saving us so much stress and time. We wanted something a bit different and she wasn’t in the slightest bit phased and everything fitted perfectly. The favour tags, table plan, guestbook and centre pieces were specially made for us. We celebrated our wedding at Preston Court in May - what a beautiful and magnificent place to get married! Not only is the setting stunning, but what really makes it is the amazing team. Before the day Jess was brilliant, answering our many, many questions, nothing seemed too much trouble, and she definitely put us at ease. The whole process, which can seem overwhelming was made so much easier with their help, and they really do think of everything! On the day Jess and Nuta (and the rest of the team) were fantastic, making sure everything was set-up and in place, and even holding umbrellas so we didn’t get soaked. We also had a live band and there were no issues with them performing with the sound limiter, they sounded great! Even with the rain we had a perfect day, the carousel was so much fun and the barn is gorgeous. We had so many comments from guests about the venue. We are so grateful to Preston Court, thank you!

We had the most amazing wedding day at Preston court! The venue and team exceeded our expectations! Not only is the venue the most beautiful and unique place with lots to explore, the team is beyond incredible! We’d name everyone but there isn’t a single person that wasn’t giving their everything making our day perfect. Not only can they party like hero’s, they also got a German and British audience organised and entertained throughout the entire day. Everyone still talks about our wedding day and all the different, fun, quirky, exciting and just „out of the box“ moments. As a wedding photographer, it's always such a joy to capture stories at Preston Court! The countryside, the courtyard space and that real sense of exclusivity so you can totally relax with your closest, is a genuine joy to capture! There are so many spots to explore and use for photography helping each wedding feel totally original, just like it should. Throw in a cracking sunset and you'll be totally spoiled! I could talk for hours about how fantastic everything at Preston Court was but I’ll run through the highlights. The venue was absolutely gorgeous, with every little detail considered. The team all brought their A-game! Jess who was corresponding with us in the lead-up was helpful and attentive. The coordinators on the day Emma and Dawn were fantastic, knowing the stresses we would be going through and taking all the responsibility away from us to let us enjoy our day. They knew the vibe we wanted to create and matched it perfectly. Lizzy was a dream! Professional but so friendly, I don’t think we ever heard a single “no” to a request. I cannot give them high enough praise! The whole team at Preston Court were there at every step of the process but never felt like they were getting in the way. All our guests were amazed by the venue, the carousel, the food, and the vibes. Thank you Preston Court, you were the perfect choice!

Jane and Keith provided considerable support at the wedding of our daughter on 16 July 2022. As it was a three-day event at our house with 210 guests, there was a great deal to do. We did not employ a wedding planner and so Jane and Keith had to co-ordinate the various providers over the three days. This involved the caterers, catering implement suppliers, the suppliers of the extensive lighting for the grounds, security, photographer, band, DJ, portaloos, pre-arranged transport at the end of the evening, event timings and so on. It was a big job and they worked tirelessly, understood what was involved and were calm and energetic. I would have no hesitation in recommending them and indeed would certainly look to employ their services again.

The Night Yard was great choice for our wedding!!! The venue and staff were both excellent and accommodating. The venue has everything you need in it and makes it more intimate as everything is in one place but gives you room to move around. The staff, especially Kerry was excellent and gave us all the support we needed and more. I have left more of my views below – if you are considering getting married you should have a look. The wedding was of course great, but let me tell you about: THE VENUE Glasshouse - Really nice venue which matched everything we hoped for. It has a big glasshouse which is where our ceremony and wedding breakfast was held, it is large enough to cater for everyone and still have space for a DJ. Courtyard - It has a nice outside garden / courtyard where ceremonies can take place too, this is a big open space that latches on to the main glasshouse which means all your guests are in the same area (which means no wandering off guests). The kids loved the courtyard and played outside for lots of the time. The staff even put out games to entertain them (and adults too). Parking - lots of parking and you can leave your car overnight. Lockers – They also provide you with access to big lockers to store things in a couple days before which does help – we didn’t need to but it is useful to have. THE STAFF This was the other main reason we chose The Night Yard. On our first viewing of the venue Kerry was great and you can tell really loved her job, she explained everything and walked us around the venue and left no doubt in our mind that the staff really love to help. After we paid a deposit we harassed Kerry quite a lot and she was always happy to help, we went back to venue 2 or 3 times and she was very accommodating and supportive and gave lots of good advice. Honestly Kerry was great and she made everything so much easier. We would message or call her for queries regarding table clothes, and table layouts etc and she didn’t mind at all. The other staff were great too, Pip in particular who handled the drinks package was really nice and helped too. Unfortunately, Kerry wasn’t there to facilitate on the wedding day but we had Pip who performed well and made sure everything ran smoothly. All the other staff we came across were great too. They’re very accommodating, you can even bring pets. No problems at all with the staff. And Kerry went above and beyond. PACKAGES Food / Catering – our catering was actually really good and the food was really nice, but only bad side for me was the lack of choice for the caterers. The Night Yard have a selection from a few caterers to use which fits into your package but for us some wasn’t available on the day and we had a choice between only 2. It did work out well but I think they should have a larger choice (but then I suppose its what makes them good because they know their suppliers etc). External Caterers – you can bring your own external caterers in, but they will charge £500 to do this, however that option isn’t that bad if you have your own preferences as most caterers are very expensive (ours was!). OVERALL I 100% am happy with the venue and the service, the wedding was great and I had no issues or problems at all.

I can’t really find the words to describe how amazing our day was…but I’ll give it a good go! Pip and Kerry went above and beyond for us. It’s the most beautiful venue and all of our guests were stunned at how picturesque and perfect it all looked. It really is a hidden gem of a venue, made even better by the staff. Being able to use the beautiful, surrounding orchards for our couple shots has given us perfect photos that we will cherish forever. The range of caterers who we could choose from was amazing, and they did anything we wanted - we went for a Mexican themed meal! We made the day personal to us by decorating the tables ourselves and adding little touches throughout the day which made it even more special. We were able to bring in whichever suppliers we wanted, and we definitely made use of that! We also took advantage of The Night Yards prop hire which was so handy. If you’ve been lucky enough to find The Night Yard in your search for a wedding venue, don’t hesitate to book it - you really will have the most wonderful, surreal experience. For lovers of the outdoors, this has to be one of the coolest Kent venues for a wedding! Being a wedding photographer and lover of the outdoors myself, there's little better than having so much nature/space to tell such amazing wedding stories. Having all the guests walk through the meadows from the ceremony at the Boathouse to enjoying food under a serene woodland canopy is just such a joy to shoot! Also, keep an eye out for those amazing golden hours you get spoiled with in the meadow! Always adore coming back here to photograph!

We had our wedding here in September 2024! What an incredible, special, different but magical place. All our guests were blown away by the venue. The staff were super helpful - from dealing with all our requests leading up to the day and helping us set up the day before. The the staff and event manager couldn't of been more perfect, friendly and fun on the actual day. This place will always be very special to us! Cannot recommend it enough.

I sincerely enjoyed photographing a wedding at Wilderness in the summer of 2023. The team at Wilderness were incredibly friendly & helpful - I honestly couldn't fault them. The day ran superbly which is all a fellow wedding supplier could hope for! The venue's team were supportive, attentive and well-informed about the couple's plans/expectations which, ultimately, helped keep the day's events on track and everything running smoothly. From the moment Georgie walked through our door we had every confidence she would organise, manage and deliver the most incredible party and sure enough she did. Her attention to detail is second to none. She is a great listener - her ability to pick up on our needs and style, knowing them even before we did. So often I asked her about something and it had all been sorted without us being involved. She evidently really cares about delivering an excellent service. Her network of contractors who helped physically create the party were second to none. All delivered on time without any fuss. They just got on with the job. We really enjoyed working with Georgie - she made it fun, taking all the stress away and just allowing us to enjoy the run up to the party and relax once it was over.
