Goodnestone House is an outstanding venue for the quintessential English wedding, with a beautiful village church just a short walk away through idyllic gardens. Our weekend stay with houseguests for a family wedding in October was glorious from beginning to end. With their recommended suppliers, including the Wedding Dolls, we had a magical wedding with literally no stress, just joy and laughter, with everything taken care of by the Wedding Dolls and Ronnie (House Manager) and his team. A few guests said it was like attending a Hugh Grant wedding 😂💕 the setting and detailing were so beautiful. The not-so secret star of the show is Ronnie, as well as Judith and their amazing house team - our bridal dinner on Friday night was simply superb, with a menu curated and cooked by Ronnie and Judith, and breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday were so good no-one wanted to leave! Ronnie is a master of how hospitality should work. The house is gorgeous, and supremely comfortable, and we were made to feel incredibly welcome, and encouraged to run things as we wished. I only wish we could do it all over again.

Amazing house, amazing staff! Rony and Judith the house manager and chef are amazing! Also their team is amazing! The house is very VERY nice, and they make the experience just incredible! Great food, amazing happy attitude when helping out in the house and serving everyone! Will definitely come back!!

What a stunning house! I recently stayed here with a group of 12 of us and it was perfect! We were welcomed by Ronnie the house manager as given a tour of the house and its history. Every room has been so lovingly renovated and is such a delight to stay in. Super comfortable beds and gorgeous bathrooms in every room! We had a fabulous dinner in the dining room, and the whole team took care of us so well! The house is lovely and warm, has stunning views from every window, a Sonos system and large wine cooler making for those amazing added touches. Thank you so much for a lovely stay!

We got married at Goodnestone on 3 June 2023. We had the most perfect day thank you to the venue itself, Ronnie (the house manager) and The Wedding Dolls (the day coordinators who come with the wedding package). The grounds themselves are absolutely stunning. The house is a perfect venue to enjoy the weekend with loved ones and to get ready. There are multiple options on ceremony location and the new Orangery is beautiful. We started the weekend with a BBQ for those staying at the house (cooked by our caterer Olivia at Just One Cook), had a fantastic wedding on the Saturday and made the most of Ronnie’s services for a cooked breakfast on the Sunday. The venue itself was incredible, but made all the more special by the fantastic service we received across the weekend. We couldn’t have wished for anymore! Thank you!

My husband surprised me with a weekend stay at Goodnestone Park for my 30th birthday where our friends and family joined us for a weekend of festivities. It was the most perfect venue for such an occasion, the house is beautifully grand while not feeling imposing. Every single room has been decorated sympathetically to the era of the house itself but with some stunning modern twists to keep it feeling fresh. I was blown away by the attention to detail even in terms of the magazines on display coordinating with the decor of the room! The grounds are impeccably kept, waking up in the morning and looking out the window was an absolute pleasure. Ronnie the house manager was a delight to work with and made us feel like we were at home and the local cafe serve the most stunning toasties and hot chocolates.
