I have had the pleasure of using Arvids on a couple of occasions. From the first call to the last nail banged in, I am kept informed and in control. The final costs have never gone over the original quote and were very competitive. I have had a custom made under stairs storage aera designed and fitted. I have also had a balcony unit stripped back and reconditioned. He has informed me that he not only does carpentry, but a wide range of construction jobs including flooring. I will certainly be using him again. Trustworthy tradesman don't appear that often, so when you find one, you keep hold of them.

Arvids was the first to respond to my request to have oak engineered flooring fitted. He worked patiently to listen to the areas I wanted and was flexible around adapting a quotation to suit my needs, with honest, reasonable costing. He did a lovely job and what struck me was how thorough and careful he is as he works. I am extremely pleased with the quality and results and highly recommend Whitstable Carpentry.

Soliman and his team took on a very challenging situation. My flat was abandoned by a previous contractor who had ran off with our money. The previous contractor had done some work but very poorly. Soliman gave us a very fair price, was able to start immediately. He finished on time, even took on extra work along the way. He's cost consciouse when sourcing the materials so we dont go over budget. Very professional to work with. Most importantly, the quality of his work is immaculate! Its hard to find a trustworthy and high quality contractor. I'm glad we went with Soliman to take on this job. I definitely recommend him and his team!

Professional, reliable (including being on-time and responsive to messages), honest and very hard-working.

Acorn replaced three large and unusually shaped windows in a conservation area. They submitted the details of the planning application and dealt with enquiries from officials of the district council. They drew up detailed plans and kept us informed at every stage. When the time came for the work itself a highly trained and skilled carpenter came and worked for four days, overcoming some difficult adjustments on our listed building. The result was great satisfaction with the quality of work and their attention to detail in every aspect of the project. The wonderful carpenter who came was a delight to have around and explained every stage of his work. I cannot speak too highly of the service and the result.

David is a very skilful carpenter who always carried out his job in a very professional way and he leaves the property spot cleaned, which is a bonus. We had David come to ours and fit our new kitchen work tops 2 years ago and they we're perfect. We recently decided to rehang our downstairs toilet door so it opened into the Hall and not into the toilet so called David back in. Not a simple task as the door frame was custom made over 30 years ago. David modified the door frame rather thank replace the whole thing. It mentioned we could keep everything the same. He did a great, neat and tidy job. We're very pleased with the results.

Highly recommended! We had an open staircase in our new house but wanted it closed in with a new bannister/balustrade so that we could fit a stair gate for our baby and David did a beautiful job. Mike built a custom reading nook with shelves and bench etc for my daughter's bedroom, and fitted into a slightly un-uniform space. It blends beautifully with the existing wardrobes and looks like it was always there. Really well made. Mike is a lovely guy, he listened to what we wanted and offered his own ideas to create the design. Kept us up to date on timings. Would definitely recommend.
