Torben replaced and renewed the facia boards on the front of our house and built and installed a new back door for us. The craftsmanship was excellent and the service was polite, professional and efficient. He and his mate Gavin also ensured that after the works were done everything was tidied up and clean. Highly recommended.

Torben and his team have replaced 13 windows in our old house over the last 4 or so years. They are beautifully custom made and improved the thermal efficiency of our house massively. Thank you to everyone at JJ for their professionalism and hard work when completing our kitchen renovation. We found everyone to be very reliable and easy to communicate with. From the onset, Alan had a nice, friendly manner and it was his designs that enabled us to achieve a beautiful kitchen within our budget. Shelley in the office was easy to get hold of throughout the whole process. All the trades that visited our home were friendly and skilled. Matt and Rob were both outstanding, nothing was too much trouble and they worked so hard every day to ensure that they fitted our kitchen to the highest standard. JJ Carpentry replaced casements in two of the windows in our Victorian house. Neither window was straightforward- one had two curved sections of glass and the other was in a very dubious state after previous repair attempts. At every stage of the process the communication we received was clear and, as the work progressed, Alan advised where extra repairs were necessary and why. We are really pleased with the finished work and would not hesitate to use JJ Carpentry again.

We are so happy with the work completed in our garden which included the building of an external staircase, renewing the deck and making a lovely feature of an out of an control tree! We've been delighted with the work from JJ Carpentry, creating and installing bespoke casement windows for our home in Lewes, which is a Listed Building. They took great care to respond to a tricky and very exacting brief, to conform exactly to very tight planning regulations. They also did the work bang on schedule, bang to budget, and worked in tricky weather to install the windows on the top floor of a tall town house within the time schedule promised. Great care was taken throughout, while the craftsmanship and the communication with us, as customers, has been exemplary. Will happily recommend the company to anyone.

After getting a couple of quotes for our wardrobes, we decided to go with Custom Carpentry as although they weren't the cheapest quote we had, Sam had made some great suggestions of things we or other companies hadn't thought about/suggested to get the most our of our budget. Unlike some other companies, everything was sorted by them from the initial design to installation and any aftercare, with Sam being easy to deal with and contactable whenever we had questions. Everyone we dealt with were great to deal with, they turned up when they said they would and left everything tidy like they hadn't even been. I have already recommended them multiple times since our work being completed and will continue to do so! Can't recommend enough!

Sam and the team are great to work with, very friendly, yet professional. They have been brilliant from start to finish, and I now have a beautiful dressing room. Incredible team of craftsman. We needed to refit our office and Sam and his team worked with us every step of the way. From sketch designs to detailed drawings and every sample of wood, hardware and paint you can imagine. They turned a dated beach Formica office into a luxury space that we never actually want to leave. It’s so good, it makes the rest of the house look scruffy 😂 Can’t recommend them enough. Saving up for the rest of the house!

Finding good trades these days is notoriously difficult, but Sam and his team are true professionals, designing and building a fantastic bespoke study for us. Sam is 100% committed to delivering a good service and this filters down to the rest of his team who clearly take pride in the work they do - nothing is too much trouble. Gary was great - very clear on what needed to be done to get the job done, professional, on-time and did a high quality job for a very reasonable price.

We have had a number of jobs done by Gary at AWG carpentry over the past 18 months, including a new bannister, news doors fitted throughout the house (with adjustment to frame where required in one instance), alcoves surrounding the fireplace, new cupboard doors and shelving, and loft boarding. The work has been done to a great standard, in a timely manner and for a reasonable price. In our experience Gary is a very honest guy, providing advice where required as a decent tradesman should, and not doing extra work where not needed or recommending money-saving alternatives where possible. Really recommend AWG Carpentry.
