We have been thrilled with the work that Colin and his team did for us. They converted our garage into a stunning garden studio, which was clad in wood, fitted with bi-fold doors and space for a wood-burning stove to be fitted. The work was completed within a competitive budget and finished to a really high standard on time. We have already recommended the company to our neighbours.

Torben and his team have replaced 13 windows in our old house over the last 4 or so years. They are beautifully custom made and improved the thermal efficiency of our house massively. Torben made a bespoke hall door to replace one that was falling apart and which was unusable. Torben went to great trouble to save and incorporate the detailing of the original. Delivered as promised, fit to existing frame fine tuned on the day and glazier lined up to complete the project. Now we have a secure door that works.

Torben replaced and renewed the facia boards on the front of our house and built and installed a new back door for us. The craftsmanship was excellent and the service was polite, professional and efficient. He and his mate Gavin also ensured that after the works were done everything was tidied up and clean. Highly recommended.

After reading reviews I requested for Torben to come and do a quote on behalf of my employer, I am so glad he chose Newlands from the quotes received because… wow! Exactly what you want from a builder. We decided to build a kitchen extension on our house as the existing kitchen was small, turquoise and not consummate with the rest of the house. We live in a conservation area and wanted something contemporary yet in keeping with the house. We had several firms around to quote and looked at architects who project manage and main contractor style builders. Brothers Phil and Darren run the firm. Phil was the one to come around and ended up managing the build. We discussed options and sketched up high-level plans together. Phil then quoted on these high-level plans, so we had a good ballpark figure to work from. Everything was broken down and very clear on the quote, and they worked to a fixed price, which took away a lot of worry. We decided to go with C&C. Phil guided us through the process and had great recommendations for an architect and drain surveyor. Communication was excellent; it felt like a genuine partnership. C&C have a great set of trades they work with regularly who take pride in their work. We have been so pleased with the process and the quality of the extension. Even though it was a fixed price, there was no scrimping on the quality of products to enhance profits. For the kitchen, Phil introduced us to an excellent fitter, and we were super pleased with the result. Everybody says having building work done is stressful, but C&C made it a relatively painless experience for us. I can’t recommend them enough—good people, trustworthy and experienced.

We had a great experience using Phil and his team at Oaks C&C in particular the skill of the carpenters. They were also very responsive when the inevitable snagging issues arose. On budget and within the agreed time frame despite the weather!

Oaks C&C took on a complicated project and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome, Phil is brilliant, we really enjoyed working with him. Ross provided me with a very competitive quote for my whole house renovation and a clear time line. He provided honest feedback and advice throughout the job and was always available when I needed to discuss anything. He fitted a new kitchen and bathroom with new carpets throughout which has all been fitted to a high standard. He has also fitted a new central heating system. He also tidied up the exterior areas which has made a massive difference. Overall I am very happy with the work that has been carried out and I highly recommend Ross and Leechcroft Carpentry.

I have arranged his service for a rail stairs. Ross explained me every step ahead before doing it a in very polite and understandable way (as a non-native english, I really appreciate the effort).
