Steve has done a brilliant job fitting our new back door and making improvements to the glazed frame. He talked through the best approach to take to the job, and was meticulous and skilled in carrying it out. The door fits perfectly. He was a pleasure to deal with and to have working at our house. Also very tidy. I would definitely recommend him for carpentry/joinery work.

We’ve had the pleasure of engaging Steve’s services for a number of years now as we chip away at the renovation of our Victorian house. He’s been brilliant - he built some bookshelves for us which everyone compliments when they visit our house, he also built a pantry under our stairs, and most recently an airing cupboard in an odd space in our top landing. Steve listens to his client but also has lots of great suggestions. His style is sympathetic to the period of the house. He is courteous, shows up on time, gets the job done with minimal fuss or mess, responds to messages promptly. 10/10!

Ted has done some great work for me in 2014 - we worked together to design this wine wall and Ted then built and installed it to a very high standard. He also managed all the other trades, Electrical, Air Conditioning and Glass doors. A complex job that turned out really well. Many thanks.

Ted came to our rescue as we were let down by our staircase fitter half way through installation. His work and attention to detail is of an extreme high quality. Our stairs look stunning after he completed the work which included fitting glass panels. Highly recommend.

Ted built a cupboard for us to house our boiler and hot water tank. It was in a tricky spot with sloping ceilings and very few straight lines in a very old house. Ted did an amazing job to a really high standard, worked quickly, and always cheerful. Really happy with the work done!

Ted has worked with us for three projects over the last year, 2024, a library, dressing room and media wall. These have been completed to an exceptional standard. We love so many of the details, particularly the attention to detail, the use of led integral lighting and the use of real woods. Ted came to visit to ensure he understood the brief, sent us drawings and ideas and then came to install on the dates he had promised. This is a rare thing with contractors, being on time, on budget and very helpful. Ted ensured the area he had been working was tidy and safe at the end of every day. Furthermore, even if the weather was atrocious, he turned up! He brought with him a tent to work outside on cutting and plaining so there was limited mess inside. We cannot commend Ted highly enough. He has delivered what we wanted with thought, creativity and care about our projects. Thank you Ted!

Chris did a great job for me. Made bespoke cabinets for my living room and then I had him back to put new decking in my back garden. His work was excellent both times, and very reasonable in terms of cost.

Chris is a brilliant, professional individual and his work is not only stunningly looking but his work ethics are perfect! He has done several jobs for us including a custom airing cupboard! He is punctual, super friendly and accommodating whichever you need done and I would highly recommend him to anybody that needs any kind of carpentry work doing! I asked Chris if he could fit a couple of doors for me. He made some really good suggestions as well as having reasonable rates. Chris is a brilliant carpenter, really reliable and always leaves the job clean and tidy. I am really glad I found him and am looking forward to finding more projects for him.

We asked Chris to replace our banister rail. He turned up when he said he would to measure and estimate and again to complete the work He was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Good quality materials, a job well done.

We have used this service for wardrobe refitting, bathroom sink made to measure cabinet, and best of all all our garden decking replaced, lee replied promptly, measured and priced, then ordered materials and our decking looks wonderful, he was very professional, very tidy and excellent timing, would recommend to all my family and friends, no job seem too hard .

We have used Lr carpentry a few times now. Their work is of the upmost quality and very professional. They were able to advise me on all aspects from the design, and what would work best. We had our new kitchen fitted, and decking fitted in our garden. They did an amazing job, and have booked them in again to do our bathroom!

Couldn't recommend Derek enough. He is a true craftsman and a pleasure to do business with. Absolutely brilliant at communicating everything clearly, and was very quick at designing and fitting the cupboards just how we wanted them. He was also very honest and transparent about payment. I will definitely be getting him to design more for our house in the future, the shelves and cupboards are great.

We cannot believe our luck in stumbling across Derek on FB whilst looking for a carpenter. From the very first email to the last brush of paint Derek has been utterly outstanding. I highly recommend Derek's work!! Previously Derek built two bespoke alcove cabinets for my office and more recently he's built our master wardrobe. I could not be happier with the finished products. He is very respectful when visiting the house and is always pre-prepared, meaning this work is completed in an amazing time. I had a hideous 50's built in wardrobe that needed replacing, Derek made suggestions and sketches of what I wanted, measured up, built and delivered it, all flawlessly painted to my specs two weeks later, he had it all fitted and finished in a day, you would never know any work had been done, everything was spotless. Absolutely delighted. (I should add I'm his brother so you won't trust me but check out the other reviews...!!)

The work done by Richard was top quality. We had a bit of an idea of what we wanted the units to look like but not fully detailed. Craig and his team of highly skilled professionals delivered a timely, reliable, excellent service on each occasion without any drama. They have now been added to my list of trusted trades people who I can freely recommend to others seeking carpentry and/or allied services.

C S Carpentry and Construction have undertaken two carpentry jobs for me - both of which were completed to an incredibly high standard by a professional and polite team. They fitted bespoke wall units/shelving and built a pagoda and privacy screening in my garden. At every stage I was consulted on what I wanted exactly and as the work progressed that the outcome they were creating was the vision I had in mind. I cannot fault the quality of their work and their advice on how my idea could be further enhanced with particular finishing. I would thoroughly recommend the business and will be using them again in the future for any carpentry work I might need completing.

I engaged CS Carpentry to replace some external (now internal) French doors, they have previously replaced all our internal doors, which is why I returned to them for this work. Curtis has fitted oak, bi-fold doors for us and we cannot fault his workmanship. He is meticulous in his work, tidy and left the area he was working in spotless. We are absolutely delighted. A real craftsman.

Curtis was at our property for three days removing 11 internal doors and fitting 11 new ones. Firstly, He is a really pleasant guy. He was very respectful of our property and decor and left the house clean an tidy. He did a great job with the doors and was kind enough to cut all the old doors in half to make it easier for us to dispose of them. Unlike some tradesmen he wasn’t interested in tea or coffee and only had the odd glass of water whilst with us.( Although he’d have been very welcome had he wanted hot drinks!) I would certainly use Curtis again in the future and have no hesitation recommending him for your carpentry needs.
