I highly recommend choosing Durabuild for jobs big and small. Since we found them they have carried out all the work on our house and we wouldn’t choose anyone else. They have done major work including an extensive kitchen renovation and fit and a loft conversion, also smaller jobs like replacing all doors and architraves and replacing the banisters on the stairs. Their work is always carried out to and exceptional standard with as little disruption to the household and neighbours as possible. The site is always left clean and tidy and the same can be said for all of the various trades they bring in to complete the job. Ben and Luke have also been a great source of advice while we have considered doing various projects helping us get the best value from their work and enhancement to the property.

Durabuild completed a side extension and loft conversion for us in 2024. It was quite a substantial project and we stayed living in our house during the whole work. Ben and Luke made this experience so much easier. They were great at communicating and keeping us informed on what was happening and what was coming up. Durabuild converted our old garage to a bedsit with en suite for my elderly grandfather. They done an amazing job and even raised the floor level so there would be no step down to the room. Nathan replaced 4 internal doors for me as well as designing and making a door for the understairs cupboard. The work was extremely well done. Nathan was professional and kept disruption to a minimum. He made sure to clear up at the end of the day. Rafal's workmanship is to a high standard, I am happy with the under stairs storage he made and fitted. Communication was a bit tricky initially (and I was really adamant I wanted Rafal to do this job for us, after seeing his amazing portfolio!), once we passed that I can't fault him for the job done. I also have to say Rafal is a perfectionist and wasn't fully satisfied with how the door was installed, so he found a way to make it work better even if that meant a couple more hours of work. We are overjoyed with our new wardrobes and dressing table. Very happy with the entire process from working with us on the design, comprehension of the brief, cleanliness/tidiness, reliability and most importantly workmanship and the finished products! Rafal came by recommendation and has now done several jobs for us fitting custom cupboards in living room and utility, remodelled some of our kitchen and fitted over 70m3 of wooden floor. He is superb, incredibly skilled, tidy, efficient and reliable. We will be getting him back to build fitted wardrobes later this year if he can fit us in. Can’t recommend him enough.

Copycats did an excellent job replacing two solid wood windows in my period property. Simon and team were excellent from start to finish, and the communication was great. They made and fitted beautiful windows, and they were brilliant at tidying up after themselves. I look forward to using them again.

We have had 15 sash windows refurbished, repaired and some replaced. Copycats understood exactly what we wanted to achieve and respected the heritage of the windows. The quality and beauty of work was exceptional and was completed with very little disruption to our home. We would highly recommend and would not hesitate to use them again.

We have used Copycats on several occasions over the years.Most recently we have had them replace decayed windows and an outside door on our listed property with identical fittings. The standard of workmanship has been outstanding throughout and we are very satisfied with the results.

Our ancient steel window casements (in a conservation area) are being restored by a specialist firm that doesn't do carpentry. When the casements were removed, rotten frames were revealed. Copycats to the rescue. They made exact replicas of the original frames and worked with the casement restorers to ensure a good fit off-site. They arrived to fit the windows as planned and everything fitted perfectly. Communication was excellent throughout. The finished windows look amazing, and were cost effective compared to replacement options. We couldn't be happier. I would highly recommend Copycats in particular for traditional carpentry for conservation projects and/or listed building restoration.

We've been delighted with the work from JJ Carpentry, creating and installing bespoke casement windows for our home in Lewes, which is a Listed Building. They took great care to respond to a tricky and very exacting brief, to conform exactly to very tight planning regulations. They also did the work bang on schedule, bang to budget, and worked in tricky weather to install the windows on the top floor of a tall town house within the time schedule promised. JJ Carpentry replaced casements in two of the windows in our Victorian house. Neither window was straightforward- one had two curved sections of glass and the other was in a very dubious state after previous repair attempts. At every stage of the process the communication we received was clear and, as the work progressed, Alan advised where extra repairs were necessary and why. We are really pleased with the finished work and would not hesitate to use JJ Carpentry again.

Toby and his colleague Aaron replaced all of our old internal doors with 13 new oak doors which have transformed the look of our house. Toby was very responsive to questions before the work and was the only provider I asked to quote who responded quickly in fact within 24 hours. He suggested slightly different doors to those I proposed which while of the same quality were slightly cheaper. The work was undertaken in a very professional manner and we are very pleased with the outcome and in fact are considering having further work done by Militao Carpentry. They were happy working round our inquisitive dogs, protected the carpets, cleared up at the end of each day (the work took a week) and were always polite and flexible. I would happily recommend.

Toby designed and fitted some beautiful cupboards for us. We Have been using them for 6 months now, can tell the quality is good- absolutely no problems. Brilliant communication and also allowed us to change the design (from shaker style to a more traditional finish) at last minute which didn’t affect the final quote.

We got in touch with Toby having followed his work on social media. We had reached the end of a large renovation project and needed some bespoke carpentry items to fit some quirky spaces - fitted ‘open style’ wardrobes in our dresser maximising space, converting a strange shower cupboard in my daughter’s bedroom into some huge storage cupboards (making good the surrounding area), building corner bookshelves in my husband’s study. And creating a storage unit to hide our TV/Console items! On initial meeting, Toby took time to understand our requirements, creating excellent drawings which brought these to life. I got to select the finish in farrow & ball paint to match our rooms, they look fabulous! The products were made and installed with great efficiency. Toby and his team were perfectionists on site and didn’t complete the project until they/us were 100% happy. We would highly recommend his services.

Elliot and his team of trades people (Chris, Harvey, Graham and Micky) were not only good at what they do but are reliable, professional, trustworthy, friendly, responsive and easy to communicate with. Our project required cutting and installing new doorways, windows and a much larger patio door. It also involved erecting and plastering dry walls, levelling and laying flooring. Needed a custom fit Wardrobe built in my bedroom and a friend recommended Elliott & Harvey who had done a great job for them. Elliott was quick to respond from the offset after I enquired. Building a wardrobe isn’t my field so he gave me numerous options and really listened to what i wanted and worked within my price budget. Elliott was very flexible and managed to squeeze us in before Christmas which we didn’t expect at all. Genuinely felt like he went out his way to get it done for us whilst we were still living out of bags. The Wardrobe itself took Elliott & Harvey just 1 day to build. On the day itself i was away with work but Elliotts communication around what he had done & giving regular updates was second to none. The quality of the Wardrobe and attention to detail with the shelfs, rails and sliding doors is excellent. Also when i returned from work it was like nobody had been in the house all day due to how tidy they had left it. Very professional, top quality work and would definitely recommend. Thank you.
