Recently got married at Stockbridge (August 7th 23). The venue is absolutely stunning and exactly what we were looking for. We chose Stockbridge farm barn for our wedding after viewing a number of options from the Dorchester museum to various hotels and beyond. We ended up selecting Stockbridge farm barn as from the moment we saw it we knew it was the one for us, the rustic setting, the quite surroundings and the floral colours matched our theme perfectly. Cherry was hugely accomodating throughout the process if we wanted to visit for planning no problem, had a question for recommending a supplier, she had a book of hem, need high chairs, just ask. Price wise Stockbridge isn't the cheapest, but there is flexibility as you can then select the suppliers you want and also there are some options for staying on site in the form of shepherd huts. If you are thinking of having your wedding here, we do highly recommend staying in the huts, the morning after our wedding when we woke up to have morning coffee, there was a single stag walking across the field and that moment was so tranquil it was perfect. If we were to do our wedding again, there is no doubt in our minds we would choose the barn, however our one section of frustration was there are no toilet facilities included in the price, you have the option of either hiring a shepherd hut style or porta cabin - however in the scheme of things this is minor for how perfect our day was..

We booked an intimate Private Dining experience for five guests for my husbands 50th Birthday. Andy and the team were quick and flexible to respond to our needs, providing a faboulous choice of food. We had the most amazing in lodge dining experience with Chef Louise and Service with Sandie who ensured that we had everything we needed at a pace and level of interaction that was right for us from serving Canapes to Dessert. I cannot recommend Andy and his incredible, professional team highy enough. Thank you AB Dorset Catering!

Andy provided private catering for a 70th birthday dinner for 8 people. It was superb. He devised a wonderful menu, with plenty of choice, catering for a range of requirements. Everything was done for us on the evening, including all the washing up, and the evening was well paced, from canapes to dessert. We couldn't have asked for better service and, of course, all of the food was delicious. We had a fantastic evening and the "Birthday Boy" was delighted with his special treat.

Mr Bradshaw and his team could not have been more helpful and efficient. Very flexible as to the style of catering required and on the day everything went exactly to plan. The food was delicious, service friendly and all my guests thoroughly enjoyed their meal.

If you’re looking for food for a special occasion, then look no further! We booked Andy and his team to cook for my dad’s 70th birthday and wow. Just wow! The food and service from Louise and Sandie was second to none. We started with a selection of canapés before our 3 course meal. Each course and element was cooked perfectly and was so tasty! Thank you for making our social family weekend away just that extra bit amazing!

WHAT A VENUE! Having shot at venues all over Mapperton is just incredible. It has everything, and I mean everything. Multiple choices for the ceremony, STUNNING grounds, gorgeous barn. It honestly has it all. The staff are wonderful, so welcoming and really take care of their suppliers - which means they take care of their couples. It's a dream venue!

Well what can I say?! Our wedding day was an absolute dream from start to finish. The team is absolutely incredible, with special shout outs to Emma for her impeccable organisation and to Andrew for his flawless service. We had several mobility challenged members of our party and they left this event feeling like they’d been treated like absolute queens! Nothing was too much trouble, they were always checking everyone was happy and often anticipated what we wanted before we had even realised! We were in super safe hands and could fully relax into the day and just enjoy it. We will forever treasure these special memories that were made possible by this incredible team of people.

The absolute most perfect wedding venue ever! Mapperton had everything that we wanted and we absolutely fell in love with it, no venue in the area compared!! It was a complete blank canvas in the coach house which we really liked and there were many ceremony options (inside and outside) but we opted with the croquet lawn which was simply stunning. The gardens are sensational and many of our guests have said it’s the most beautiful wedding venue they have ever been to. There’s two cottages on site too so we used one for the bridal party and then one for the grooms, this was such an amazing option to have and really added to the whole weekend experience! Holly our wedding co-ordinator was incredible, so kind and understanding. No question was too big and she helped us quickly on any wedding advice / help that we needed. We really appreciated her being there through anything that we needed, she was amazing on the day and it all ran smoothly which was completely all her hard work but also leading up to the wedding too. She helped so much & we truly appreciate her! She really understood our vision. If you are thinking of booking Mapperton for your wedding then DO IT, it was simply a dream come true that we will remember for the rest of our lives!! :)

I've had the pleasure of providing bespoke wedding flowers for couples at this venue for a few years now and it's one of the most stunning venue's in the south west. Ideal for weddings as there are so many beautiful vistas and backdrops for fantastic photos. Kat and Charlotte provide a friendly service and will advise on all aspects of your big day.

The feedback from the room from the Quiz Show hosted by Ultimate Party Nights was fantastic, everybody thoroughly enjoyed the evening, the content was pitched at the right level. The interaction from Carl with the room was great, the quiz was topical, funny and the questions involved current themes and topics. We used this as part of our weekend fund raising and Carl helped us by raise money by auctioning points, particular stand out things were the team buzzers and the wheel of misfortune. Quite simply excellent value for money and I would definitely use Ultimate Party Nights again. A big fat 10 out of 10.

Carl hosted a quiz show for our company Christmas party. The whole evening was great fun and the set up was extremely professional. We all really enjoyed the extra games as part of the quiz and would definitely use Ultimate Party Nights again. Highly recommend!

Ultimate Party Nights were incredible for our wedding day. We enquired about the dancing on clouds package with added Sparklers and initially they weren't available on our date however Carl worked his magic and was able to find some additional staff to make it happen for us, which we are extremely grateful for! On the day, Max was incredible at the venue and helped to set up everything perfectly. He was so lovely and friendly and made sure everything was set off at the perfect time! The whole experience was amazing and made our first dance feel so special! Thank you so much Ultimate Party Nights, would 100% recommend!

Went to a wedding reception here. Wow what a beautiful place Hiden out of the way. Really lovely venue. Drinks were very well priced at the bar. Amazing settings for an all in one wedding day. Camping facilities available but didn't use these.

We chose Gorwell for our wedding in July 2024, booking two years prior. Mary and the Team are fantastic, you can really tell that they want your big day to be a success. Mary was full of recommendations for vendors, which was amazing as it can definitely feel overwhelming. Throughout the communication was fantastic and there was no such thing as a silly question. Gorwell Farm was where we chose to have our wedding this summer, and we could not have chosen a more perfect location for our special day. The cottages are spacious and comfortable for the morning-of preparation, and the barn and surrounding grounds are just idyllic. It really was the perfect space for our wedding. Mary and the team were great in the run-up to the wedding and on the day. It meant we didn't have anything to worry about. Also a shout out to the bar staff who were absolutely fantastic!

Gorwell Farm hosted our wedding (and accommodation) and was excellent from beginning to end. It’s. A beautiful, rustic venue but has been fully modernised and updated with all conveniences for a wedding whilst still retaining the rustic feel. All queries were addressed quickly and we couldn’t imagine it being any better.

Five because mum, Worked there as a waitress,weddings. In the seventies. Not the hotel. But the ramshackle disused church down a hidden away path.. Supposedly pirates. Are buried outside the sacred churchyard. Chesil being renowned for wrecking of ships. I know doubt there were pirates of some sort. If a barrel of rum turned up on your doorstep what would you do. Just recently a large container ship broke it's back. And brand new BMW motorbikes mysteriously disappeared in the thick of the night..? Free parking that's a novelty and worth taking up.

I had the pleasure to film a wedding, the venue is so beautiful, so many great spots and so well mantained, staff was brilliant, very well organised, everything as planned. I'm really looking forward to filming here again.

This was a business stay, and we had 5 nights here. I was in Half Moon and it was wonderful. Clean and immaculate, towels were fluffy, and toiletries were in full order. They even have bedroom slippers and bathrobe. We failed to use every single room in the property just because we had beautiful sunshine most of the days we're there. Everywhere is picturesque and not to mention the little walks to the beach below was great fun as well. Pool was amazing, warm and beautiful with marble pool floor. Kitchen had the best tools to whip up a good meal and the dining room is so instagramable.

Penn is such a unique and incredibly beautiful place and location for a wedding or an event. A little bit like the Minack Theatre in Cornwall, it is set on a cliff top and has the most spectacular views. It provides a location for an event to remember. Having done location shots for the venue, styled shoots and weddings there, we know it well. Many of the rooms are brand new, set in to the cliff face and provide your own little peaceful sea view haven. The reception rooms and patio are just beautiful, light and fresh. And the team are wonderful too. We love it and are happy to shoot there anyway. Now we just need to get invited as guests at a wedding there so that we can enjoy it all!

We used Cartails to provide bar service at our wedding recently. After initial conversations with Harrison, Josh took over the planning of the event and both were brilliant to work with. They clearly had a wealth of experience planning the events, and were able to offer excellent advice and ideas without us ever feeling like we were being upsold. They provided everything we asked for, going to particularly effort to make sure we could have a slushy machine serving Froze. They went above and beyond in making sure the drinks offering was exactly what we were looking for. On the day, they constructed the circular bar quickly and efficiently, and this looked fantastic in the middle of the marquee. Drinks service throughout the whole day went perfectly, with Harrison and his team managing both the main circular bar and outside horsebox bar brilliantly. The Froze was a real hit and the after dinner cocktails went down very well too. The site was left spotless at the end of the night. We would happily recommend Cartails to anyone planning their own wedding, and would love to work with them again should we have any other large events.

Harrison was incredibly efficient in the lead up to agreeing arrangements for our daughter’s wedding and the team were equally professional on the day. The bar became the centre of the post-dinner party with excellent cocktails and magnificent service. Strongly recommend.

We used Cartails for our wedding in July. They were absolutely great, perfect from start to finish. We had lots of zoom meetings before the wedding making sure everything was exactly as we wanted, and Josh was always on hand to answer questions and change things around to make them perfect. The team were fab on the day - the guests all said how lovely the bar staff were, and the cocktails were DELICIOUS! Couldn't recommend them more.

Nicky was so helpful! I had a vague idea about what I wanted, and she sent me a ton of ideas from her warehouse (even more than what's listed on the website). The prices are super affordable and her customer service is top notch! I'd highly recommend!

We used Winterborne Hire & Styling for our wedding at Abbots Court and couldn’t have been happier with the service provided! From the first visit to the styling barn with Dawn right up until the wedding day itself and after the event, Dawn was on hand to help with any questions we had. We opted to set the venue decorations up ourselves the day prior to the wedding and this was made so easy as the beautiful arches were set up for us and the rest of the items we ordered came in extremely organised boxes which saved a lot of time. We rented some beautiful table decorations and flower pillars that complimented our wedding venue perfectly.They have a great range of items in their showroom and Dawn was so helpful and patient in taking through what items to choose. They are very professional and coordinated directly with the venue and had a delivery option making it seamless and efficient (one less thing for me to worry about!). Highly recommend :)

We hired Winterborne Hire & Styling for our wedding in July and honestly it was the easiest, best decision we made for our big day! Dawn was so helpful and understood our vision the entire process. When we first visited House of Styling's barn, we were blown away by the range or different items and themes available to rent for our special day. Kirsty took care to listen to what we wanted and came up with a quote for us that we were able to amend as time went on and we knew more about what we wanted for our wedding. Kirsty always responded to emails quickly and was willing to have phone calls too for me to run through questions before the big day. I worried about being "in the way" when we were putting out our own few bits and pieces or collecting them and she was very reassuring that it was our day and that they were there to support us. Kirsty and Laura make a great team and seem to really care about the detail of what they're doing, I was so pleased with the work that they had done and the care and effort they put into making sure our venue looked just like I imagined!
