My Husband and I had a bit of a chaotic start to wedding planning, starting without a wedding planner we booked a venue that fell through and were totally in over our heads. Then my TikTok algorithm presented me with Georgia, and I'm so glad it did. After Georgia scoured three different countries (for months), we then decided to have the wedding five minutes away from our home in Scotland- she didn't show one ounce of frustration. Admittedly, we were worried this was a bit less glamorous than the venues the MO team were used to but Georgia's priority is for her clients to have the wedding that is perfect for them. Georgia was professional, kind and patient through the many, many renditions of our wedding. Not only did she save the day, in the end she planned something that felt so intimate, personal and perfect for us. Georgia worked seamlessly with all of our vendors throughout the planning process, kept us on track with what we needed to be doing and was there to lend an ear if we ever felt overwhelmed. On the weekend of the wedding Georgia and her team (Bertie and Danny) were everywhere at once, they ensured the whole weekend ran exactly to plan. They worked tirelessly, but with smiling faces, they didn't show it. They are all brilliant and there wasn't a single guest who didn't mention how fantastic they were. The ability to plan an event down to such fine detail and yet maintain a sense of complete calm is a skill that should not be undervalued. The whole Matthew Oliver team are total professionals and we will be recommending them to all of our friends looking for planners in the future. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.

We cannot love the Matthew Oliver team more!!! The strength of the Matthew Oliver team is their relationships, which when it comes to weddings, is one of the most important qualities for a wedding planner. Because of their close ties with everyone in the industry, we were able to pull off an incredible destination wedding with ease and in budget. They were extremely resourceful when it came to all of our wild requests— they found a way each time to execute our vision. Lastly, what you find is that you spend most of your time with your wedding planners and vendors during the wedding and planning process. You definitely want to like these people during such an important moment. We are lucky to still call Matthew, Bertie and team our friends and they will definitely be in our lives forever!

When my husband and I initially met with Georgia at MatthewOliver Weddings, there was an instant connection. After a few weeks of initial planning, we had some unforseen circumstances arise and had to stop with proceeding on our planning. When we were ready to resume the wedding plans, Georgia was able to work us back into her schedule. We spent the next year and half planning our dream European adventure. Georgia was the perfect planner for us. She took all of our initial requirements (location, airport proximity, historical property, handicap accessibility) and found the perfect venue. Georgia managed every detail and vendor throughout the entire process, culminating in the best weekend of our lives. From sourcing local Flamanco dancers for the welcome party, to scheduling and planning site visits and tastings, to the carefully thoughout stationary, Georgia and the Matthew Oliver team took care of everything to insure that we had the best time with our guests. Our wedding was an absolute dream come true!! I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible work the Matthew Oliver Weddings team did to bring our vision to life. Matthew and Bertie were our main planners, but their entire team, including Danny and Andrea, was an absolute dream to work with. While you expect luxury wedding planners like Matthew Oliver Weddings to be professional, detail-oriented, creative, and excellent problem-solvers, what truly stood out was how much joy and warmth they brought to the process. Planning a cross-continent, multicultural 4 day destination wedding in under six months could easily have been stressful, but they made it a fun and manageable project. I genuinely looked forward to our regular Zoom meetings. On the day of the wedding, the weather was less than ideal, but Matthew, Bertie, and their team jumped into action, seamlessly executing solutions. Above all, they took the time and care to ensure I was feeling calm and reassured, which speaks volumes about their empathy and dedication. The most perfect day at a dream venue Patrick and I had the most incredible experience getting married at Mapperton. From the moment we first visited we knew it was the perfect venue for us due to how flexible, versatile and stunning it is. Holly our amazing wedding coordinator was one of the reasons we chose the venue and is a true asset to Mapperton. She was there to take us through the whole process, being a fountain of knowledge for amazing suppliers in the South West and nothing was too big an ask. Most importantly she made sure our day ran like clockwork and we couldn't have asked for a better day. Our guests have given us so many compliments saying it is the favourite wedding they have ever been to and this is all thanks to the hard work put in by the team at Mapperton. We can't wait to pop in, take a walk around the stunning Italian gardens and visit the Mapperton family to remember our special day.

I've had the pleasure of providing bespoke wedding flowers for couples at this venue for a few years now and it's one of the most stunning venue's in the south west. Well what can I say?! Our wedding day was an absolute dream from start to finish. The team is absolutely incredible, with special shout outs to Emma for her impeccable organisation and to Andrew for his flawless service. We had several mobility challenged members of our party and they left this event feeling like they’d been treated like absolute queens! Nothing was too much trouble, they were always checking everyone was happy and often anticipated what we wanted before we had even realised! We were in super safe hands and could fully relax into the day and just enjoy it. We will forever treasure these special memories that were made possible by this incredible team of people.

WHAT A VENUE! Having shot at venues all over Mapperton is just incredible. It has everything, and I mean everything. Multiple choices for the ceremony, STUNNING grounds, gorgeous barn. It honestly has it all. The staff are wonderful, so welcoming and really take care of their suppliers - which means they take care of their couples. It's a dream venue!

The absolute most perfect wedding venue ever! Mapperton had everything that we wanted and we absolutely fell in love with it, no venue in the area compared!! It was a complete blank canvas in the coach house which we really liked and there were many ceremony options (inside and outside) but we opted with the croquet lawn which was simply stunning. The gardens are sensational and many of our guests have said it’s the most beautiful wedding venue they have ever been to. There’s two cottages on site too so we used one for the bridal party and then one for the grooms, this was such an amazing option to have and really added to the whole weekend experience! Holly our wedding co-ordinator was incredible, so kind and understanding. No question was too big and she helped us quickly on any wedding advice / help that we needed. We really appreciated her being there through anything that we needed, she was amazing on the day and it all ran smoothly which was completely all her hard work but also leading up to the wedding too. She helped so much & we truly appreciate her! She really understood our vision. If you are thinking of booking Mapperton for your wedding then DO IT, it was simply a dream come true that we will remember for the rest of our lives!! :)

We live in California and my daughter got engaged to a man in Somerset. How does one plan a wedding from across the Pond?? You call Georgi at Scarlett Rose Events that's how! We stumbled upon her website and instantly felt safe and comfortable entrusting her with my daughter's most important day. Georgi helped us find wonderful vendors, guided us through British wedding customs and legal considerations, spent hours on Facetime getting to know our vision and even helped us plan a Hen do and rehearsal dinner. She took care of all the details and made sure the wedding day itself went flawlessly. We know we never could have accomplished what we did without her gentle guidance and amazing spreadsheets. We were planning an outdoors wedding and Georgi at Scarlett Rose Events was extremely accommodating when we only wanted to hire sashes for our chairs. Georgi was so friendly to talk to when we were organising it and I felt like that part of our wedding decor was in safe hands. When the British weather decided to give us rain on our wedding day, Georgi stepped in last minute and allowed us to move our wedding inside and provided the most beautiful wedding arch dressed for our ceremony. It looked amazing and can only thank Georgi for coming to our rescue and creating such a beautiful wedding space. I would 100% recommend Georgi if you are after decor and set up for your event. The only reason why we didn’t hire more items from Georgi is because we just didn’t need it but her stock looks beautiful.

We cannot recommend this venue highly enough! We got married last month (March 2024) at the St Peter's Church (right there on the estate), followed by reception in the Tithe barn. It was stunning whatever the weather, and the perfect choice if you are going more winter/out of the summer season, because the barn was so cosy. Gail was incredible throughout and in all honesty, we really didn't have to do a lot - the venue has so much character of its own, it's all any of our guests could talk about! We will be thinking about the day and the estate for a long time! Couldn't have picked a better venue.

After two years of planning with Gail as our main contact at Hinton St Mary we got married in April 2024, we had a truly wonderful wedding. Gail was phenomenal and very good with her recommendations throughout our planning. All our recommended suppliers knew the venue well making our planning easier. The venue was dry hire , many of our guests travelled from near and far so we made use of the venue from Friday to Sunday. The blank canvas of the barn was turned into something of our own which we decorated with fairy lights , rustic tables and chairs and greenery. The band played from the stage allowing a large dance floor below , the kitchen and toilets were great and easy to access. Other bonuses of the venue is St Peter’s church is just a few 100 meters from the venue and easy access for all guests . Accommodation onsite is available to the bridal party and those who need to stay on site , we found the accommodation to be very comfortable and convenient all weekend. We couldn’t recommend Hinton St Mary highly enough as a wedding venue.

We got married at HSM Estate in September and it was a truly wonderful day, it is difficult to adequately describe what a perfect venue it is - photos truly don't do it justice. Our wedding ceremony was held on the grounds behind the Tithe Barn and we had our meal and reception inside the barn, but there is so much else here to see - the grounds are large and full of character, and different areas for guests to explore and enjoy. We were lucky to have perfect weather, however this venue would be magical in any conditions. We were looking for a dry hire venue which we could really make our own, and HSM was exactly what we wanted. The building is beautiful, and has practical elements such as a stage (with curtain), a mezzanine with sofas, a small kitchen and large side area where caterers can set up - and REALLY nice toilets (recently refurbished) - the management at this venue are great at listening to and acting on feedback, and are always adding details and changing elements where they can, to keep the venue at the highest possible standard and with ease of functionality. Our point of contact for viewing the venue, Gail, was also hired as our wedding coordinator. She really went above and beyond for us, from the initial viewing of the venue, to the additional visits afterward, right through to the final planning stages and of course the day itself. She has amazing knowledge of the venue and the history, which really added so much to the experience and made it so much more than just a venue. In addition to the venue itself, there is some accommodation on-site which is brilliant for bridal party / groomsmen or whoever you need to be close by. It was great to be able to get ready and walk out to the ceremony, no transport required. The cottages are also gorgeous and well supplied. We couldn't recommend this place enough as a wedding venue, it was everything we wanted and so much more, and our guests all had a wonderful day. 5 stars is not enough!

I cannot recommend this venue highly enough, our wedding here was absolutely perfect. The barn itself is lovely but the real gem is the outdoor space - it’s stunning and there is so much of it! We had a stunning ceremony in the middle garden, drinks reception in the sunken garden and then the walled garden just outside the barn made a beautiful extension for our reception. We were given the freedom to make our vision come true and it was just incredible. Gail was a saint throughout the entire booking and planning process, and was a godsend on the day! The cottages are wonderful too, they are well worth their money. The pub down the road was the perfect place for the evening before for a big family meet up as well as a more intimate wedding party breakfast the following morning. Having the venue for the whole 3 days was just amazing - we were never rushed and we had the time to do what we wanted and needed to do. The flexibility with everything was just fantastic, I am so so glad we chose this beautiful venue, it was perfect. Thank you so much :)

This was the venue of our dreams! Gail was fantastic, always happy to help with our many questions and walked us through everything we needed to know. The grounds are stunning and it was such a privilege to be able to wander around - locations for beautiful photos are endless! The barn is gorgeous, the lounge area upstairs was brilliant for our guests who wanted a rest and the toilets are beautifully decorated! As soon as we arrived, we knew Hinton was the one!

We had our PERFECT wedding at Moonacre in August 2024 and highly recommend!! The venue was beyond magical and suited us perfectly. The planning process was super smooth and we never had any issues at all with Moonacre. Great for: outdoor ceremony, beautiful trees and outdoor space, onsite accomodation, lots of space, flexible entertainment, choose your own catering (really rare in this area for wedding venues!!), relaxed vibe, child-friendly, lots of decoration included, straightforward pricing with no hidden extras, wedding coordinator included, fire pit, whimsical wedding photos surrounded by nature (credit to Tegan Maccann who we absolutely loved :D), bar and bar staff provided/included (drinks packages to choose from and create your own) Not for you if you want: Lots of space for a big bridal party to get ready onsite, winter wedding (it's closed!), bring your own bar Long version: Hayley and Dominic were helpful, friendly, professional and above all flexible. The marquee is really nice and very large, and has enough decor already that we actually didn't spend anything on additional decor for the marquee as we didn't have a formal table set-up. We had an outdoor ceremony with both live and recorded music (they had enough sound equipment to suit our needs!), a relaxed family-friendly BBQ with mixture of indoor and outdoor seating (no seating plan) and lots of garden games and ping pong (hired from Simply Flower - also recommend). We had loads of young kids there and they had a brilliant time running around and there was none of the stress for parents of a formal indoor venue or sit-down meal. After the meal we gathered everyone round the fire pit for our speeches which was magical and made for some lovely photos as everyone was standing grouped together! We had family and friends stay in the onsite glamping accommodation and loads of friend took up the camping option which was a nice surprise - eating bacon sandwiches from a friend's camper van sat round with all the campers the next morning was a lovely moment, as was sitting out by the fire-pit with the final guests at 1am and seeing a shooting star. It was amazing to have a free-flowing wedding day with multiple different spaces for people to mingle and relax or dance to the band, a lot of guests have said it's one of the best wedding venues they have been to :) We got a great discount on the venue hire for booking "short notice" (booking in January for August same year). We hired moonacre for a special birthday celebration in November. What a fantastic venue. Dominic and Rachel were amazing hosts and helped us to pull off a special party. Everyone said what a fantastic venue and hidden gem near Poole. Quirky and fun accommodation, beautiful grounds, fantastic sound and lighting in the marquee, a brilliant dance floor, a well stocked bar….thoroughly recommend for a venue to hire!

On Tuesday 25th April we got married at the beautiful Moonacre site! We were so lucky to have amazing blue skies and sunshine on the actual day - which was definitely unexpected due to the rain during set up! We had a back up plan to use the marquee, but we’re so glad our ceremony took place outside on the woodland platform! We can’t thank Hayley, Dom and the crew enough for all of their help from the moment we booked in January 2022, until pack down after the wedding. The staff on the day helped with so much and did it all with a smile despite being on their feet for hours! Hayley was so helpful with my endless lists of questions and on the day she had such a calming presence… which was very helpful as I did feel my nerves kick in before waking down the aisle! Everything about Moonacre was just PERFECT. The setting, the marquee and facilities just made the day so run so smoothly. If we had to choose one word to sum up the day, it would be “magical”! We’re still on such a high and will never forget our perfect Moonacre wedding! 🖤

Such a beautiful place. Went camping and the field was secluded, surrounded by trees and pine forest. Great views all around. Very peaceful quiet and well maintained. Not too many camping pitches. There is a nice covered area with seats and also a fridge, plus place to burn open fires. Nice powerful shower and clean toilets. Owners are really friendly and helpful, will definitely go back.
