A wonderful team! Kirsty and the House of Styling decorated our venue in August. They were so helpful in the run up to our wedding, creating a moodboard for us so we could visualise how everything would look. We were blown away with how incredible everything looked on the day, they really brought our vision to life and all of our guest commented on how amazing everything looked. Everything was stress free and we would highly recommend Kirsty and her team at the House of Styling!

Absolutely amazing from start to finish. Communication was brilliant throughout with Kirsty, and no question or request was too much! The styling for our special day ticked every single box for us, and the venue staff and even the registrar kept saying they had never seen New Place Hotel styled so well. The colour scheme and style we had imagined in our heads - Kirsty and the team made it happen! From start to finish a 5 star service and I would highly recommend!

When we first visited House of Styling's barn, we were blown away by the range or different items and themes available to rent for our special day. Kirsty took care to listen to what we wanted and came up with a quote for us that we were able to amend as time went on and we knew more about what we wanted for our wedding. Kirsty always responded to emails quickly and was willing to have phone calls too for me to run through questions before the big day. I worried about being "in the way" when we were putting out our own few bits and pieces or collecting them and she was very reassuring that it was our day and that they were there to support us. Kirsty and Laura make a great team and seem to really care about the detail of what they're doing, I was so pleased with the work that they had done and the care and effort they put into making sure our venue looked just like I imagined!

On the 4th of November 2023, we celebrated our special day at The White Barn, and we couldn't have been happier with the entire experience. When we first visited The White Barn, we knew we had found the perfect place for our wedding. From our first meeting with Beth, to the lovely family breakfast the day after the wedding, the staff at The White Barn were so kind, helpful and accommodating. We always felt confident that everything was in capable hands. Our food was provided by the Farm & Field café on site and it was absolutely gorgeous! The food was not only delicious but beautifully presented. The wonderful Beth, Dani, Millie and their fabulous team worked tirelessly to ensure every aspect of our wedding day went smoothly. From the ceremony to the reception, their expertise and attention to detail were evident. We were able to relax and enjoy our day, knowing that everything was being taken care of. The White Barn were so flexible and open to our ideas; they made every effort to accommodate our vision for the day. Whether it was customising the menu or adjusting the layout of the space, they were committed to making our wedding uniquely ours. Choosing The White Barn was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. The venue's gorgeous setting (I still cannot believe how lucky we were to have the flower meadow looking SO gorgeous in November), combined with the outstanding service provided by the staff, created a day that exceeded our dreams. We would highly recommend the white barn as a wedding venue, we had the most amazing wedding planner who did everything he possibly could to make sure everything was perfect. Ash was always on standby and replied so quickly with any questions or concerns we had. Our wedding was bittersweet with the recent passing of my dad and ash made sure he was still a huge part of the day and was so supportive when things became emotionally difficult. We have just had our wedding at The White Barn in South Petherton. To start with the venue is absolutely gorgeous and it ticks every box! Its new style but old barn theme is just what we wanted. It has incredible in door and out door spaces and lots of different spots you can marry in. You can see the venue online and see what i mean! The main part of the day I wanted to mention was our wedding planner Ashleigh! He is new to the barn but HOLY S**T hes good! I don’t know how he has the energy to go like he does but hes an endless bag of magic! He was on hand all night and the whole build up to the wedding. He made us feel heard and safe leaving our wedding in his hands. Im abit of a control freak and need to know every detail and he let me feel comfortable enough to release the reins and let him do what he does best. And he did! The bar and kitchen staff were also all fantastic and friendly.. i honestly cant fault anyone or anything. I recommend anyone to get married here and if you have a choice on wedding planners… you definitely dont want to miss out on Ash!! Xx

My husband and I were incredibly lucky to have gotten married at The White Barn in June 2024. I had followed The Farm and Field Café on Instagram for quite some time, and just loved it! When I realised there was a wedding venue at the same location, I knew I had to visit! We booked in an appointment and met the lovely Beth. She was just the most lovely human being and I loved her just as much as I loved the barn. It was the only venue we’d looked around but I didn’t need to look anywhere else, we decided there and then that this was the one and were lucky enough to book a date for the following summer. The barn itself and the grounds was just perfect for us, exactly what we wanted and more. Beth and Nat have worked incredibly hard on it and it really shows, it’s such a beautiful place. Beth was our wedding planner and was just amazing through the whole process. She was so supportive of all of our ideas and also helped us when we were struggling. She was more like a friend to us than anything else and we could not have done it without her! Myself and my bridal party stayed at the barn the night before the wedding and had a lovely Chinese before chilling out in the bridal suite. We got ready in one room next door the next morning with everything you could possibly need inside! The White Barn provided our canapes, wedding breakfast and evening food which was all absolutely delicious!! Again, nothing was too much to ask. We wanted to break from tradition a bit with the food and again Beth could not have been more accommodating. I feel extremely grateful to Beth and the whole team at The White Barn for giving us the wedding day I’ve always dreamed of. My Husband and I had a bit of a chaotic start to wedding planning, starting without a wedding planner we booked a venue that fell through and were totally in over our heads. Then my TikTok algorithm presented me with Georgia, and I'm so glad it did. After Georgia scoured three different countries (for months), we then decided to have the wedding five minutes away from our home in Scotland- she didn't show one ounce of frustration. Admittedly, we were worried this was a bit less glamorous than the venues the MO team were used to but Georgia's priority is for her clients to have the wedding that is perfect for them. Georgia was professional, kind and patient through the many, many renditions of our wedding. Not only did she save the day, in the end she planned something that felt so intimate, personal and perfect for us. Georgia worked seamlessly with all of our vendors throughout the planning process, kept us on track with what we needed to be doing and was there to lend an ear if we ever felt overwhelmed. On the weekend of the wedding Georgia and her team (Bertie and Danny) were everywhere at once, they ensured the whole weekend ran exactly to plan. They worked tirelessly, but with smiling faces, they didn't show it. They are all brilliant and there wasn't a single guest who didn't mention how fantastic they were. The ability to plan an event down to such fine detail and yet maintain a sense of complete calm is a skill that should not be undervalued. When my husband and I initially met with Georgia at MatthewOliver Weddings, there was an instant connection. After a few weeks of initial planning, we had some unforseen circumstances arise and had to stop with proceeding on our planning. When we were ready to resume the wedding plans, Georgia was able to work us back into her schedule. We spent the next year and half planning our dream European adventure. Georgia was the perfect planner for us. She took all of our initial requirements (location, airport proximity, historical property, handicap accessibility) and found the perfect venue. Georgia managed every detail and vendor throughout the entire process, culminating in the best weekend of our lives. From sourcing local Flamanco dancers for the welcome party, to scheduling and planning site visits and tastings, to the carefully thoughout stationary, Georgia and the Matthew Oliver team took care of everything to insure that we had the best time with our guests. We booked our wedding plans well in advance of the current pandemic for 2021 and found Sweet Forrest to provide us with decoration for the venue. Unfortunately, due the pandemic we had to rethink our big day and Sarah at Sweet Forrest was absolutely marvellous to us. She made the whole process very easy, has been very supportive to us and completely professional. When cancelling our plans, Sarah offered us a refund without any hesitation and processed this instantly. Her 1st hand experience running weddings end to end from planning through to the last dance on the big day shows through in how she listens to what you want, suggests lots of fab ideas and is totally open to whatever makes your day personal and special to you.

Went to the gardens for a walk and the grounds are very interesting and would make a beautiful wedding location. They aren’t big gardens however the price is small. There is a cafe at the entrance which has great coffee and croissants. The cakes looked extra special as well. Overall a nice place to meet and relax for a couple of hours (or a wedding!)

My husband and I will forever be grateful that we booked The Larmer Tree to host our wedding, on 6th November 2024. As soon as we visited the venue for one of their supplier open days and to meet the team for the first time, we absolutely knew that this is where we would get married. Our wedding coordinator Sinead was incredible from start to finish, very passionate about her job, and very intelligent and confident in her role. As Sinead had also gotten married there, it was like she knew the place like the back of her hand. There wasn't a single moment where we felt at a loss, and she was with us every step of the way (even when I was running 20 minutes late!) It was an absolute pleasure working with and getting to know her, and we will forever be grateful to have her on our side. The rest of the team were incredibly on the ball with ensuring that everything was uptogether and it was amazing working with them. This is truly a day that we will remember forever. We had the best day and I would recommend The Larmer Tree to anyone looking for the perfect venue to host their wedding. It is picturesque, quirky, and truly memorable. I love this place Do really good weddings and also events. Christmas fair, halloween events and others are really fun. It's also really good for people that like calm and alone time when it's not end of the road, it goes from having a lot of people to not many. I recommend.

Highcliffe Castle is absolutely worth a visit; other reviews talk about the gardens but on a very wet February day; inside was a ray of sunshine! The volunteers are amazingly knowledgeable and really happy to share their knowledge of all aspects of the history of the building and its more recent restoration. I’ve seen the outside of the building before but had no idea of where all the stones, windows, grotesques, stained glass came from … no spoilers here you’ll just have to visit yourself! I’d thoroughly recommend it. Easy parking and great cafe too

A really interesting, cool and historical place. Really enjoyed it! It’s a really nice castle. Makes a change to visit a castle that is not ruins! Really recommend it!

The building was very interesting. It showed the fabric of the house as it was built and after the disastrous fire that did immense damage. The tour around was on even floors and suspended walkways that didn't do further damage to the masonry. The history of the building was well resented on information boards. Children were well catered for and the cafe was a welcome coffee stop. Well worth a visit and the semi restored areas looked great for weddings and special occasions. Grounds were pretty and there was a short walk to the beach.

If I could give more stars I would! My (now) husband and I had our wedding at the Old Vicarage in November and we couldn't be happier with our choice of venue!! It is the most stunning New Forest location, which was perfect for photos in the beautiful grounds. The planning and set up of the day was seamless from start to finish; we chose the winter package, which was a very reasonable deal and made for a wonderfully cosy Autumn wedding. Tom was extremely helpful and accommodating for all of our requests. We loved hosting fireworks in the back field, cocktails on the lawn and a perfectly intimate wedding breakfast, followed by a buzzing party with our friends and family. I would highly recommend to anyone!

Superb venue for a special occasion - ours was a christening reception. Lovely main building and the extensive and mature gardens are stunning with lots of various little nooks and features to make it a veritable wonderland - especially for children! Staff were lovely too. :-) Only gripe (for which it doesn't get the 5* treatment) is that the food was not quite on par with the rest of the quality provided and experienced for the price they charge per head.
