A culinary delight with a few reservations. The food was simply outstanding. Every dish was a masterpiece of flavor and presentation bar one. Our server, Sarah Silva, was exceptional; her knowledge, attentiveness, and friendly demeanor elevated our dining experience to new heights. Unfortunately, the ambiance was somewhat marred by the noise from a wedding reception. The music clashed with the restaurant's atmosphere and detracted from the overall experience. Additionally, while the concept of honeycomb cheesecake was intriguing, the execution fell short. The base lacked substance, and the cheesecake itself was disappointingly bland. Despite these minor issues, the exceptional food and service make the 1877 restaurant a place we would happily return to.

First time me and my husband visited Wotton House, we got and overnight stay + dinner for our wedding gift last year. £56 towards our food, we went all out and had starters, mains l and desserts, with our allowance it was pretty reasonably priced, the food was beautifully presented and tasted exceptionally delicious. If we didn’t have the voucher I don’t think we’d come again, but it was a lovely experience and our waiter Jose was super friendly and helpful!

Food was incredible! There were so many options, and lots of gluten free options available. The atmosphere in the restaurant was really nice and relaxing. I had the asparagus to start, and it was lovely. I then had the chicken and it was so good. The flavours complemented each other perfectly and the chicken melted in your mouth. I had the cheeseboard for dessert and they had gluten free crackers.

We came on a Sunday for a romantic dinner and had a lovely meal. The service was excellent, food and drinks came out quickly and we were very looked after. The restaurant is nice, especially seats around the tree in the middle. Food was good quality, the menu is quite varied but of the 4 meals we ordered, whilst nice we found that everything was a bit underseasoned - possibly not up to the 5 stars of the service. Still a good visit.
