Yep really friendly pub, and barman was brill. Lots of locals but all friendly and happy to have a chat. Defo recommended
Wonderful, unpretentious traditional British country pub, with some fun quirky touches in the decor that made us smile. Very dog-friendly and welcoming towards people who were clearly not locals. Great choice of craft beers (though more than one red wine would have been nice). No food, but that's fine as the pub was lovely just as it was.
Lovely traditional pub, great atmosphere and very helpful staff. Can't wait to go back .
Blazing hot wood burning fire.
Stumbled into this pub just as it started to rain, the place was packed out, standing room only, out of the 4 pubs we've visted today in Whaley Bridge, this was definitely head and shoulders above the rest. Great atmosphere, considering how busy it was the service was fast too, and was also the cheapest of the 3 pubs. Would definitely call back when next back in this area.
