Breakfast sandwich and coffee were really great, customer service was excellent. Really fab local cafe. They do takeaway coffees and cakes too which Is extra bonus!

Popped in for coffee and cake and wasn't disappointed. The drinks selection and cakes had a wide variety to choose from as you would expect from a small independent cafe. There is a post office inside aswell as the cafe

Had a lovely breakfast at Stamp, the staff were very friendly and welcoming as well as the locals. You can tell the products are locally sourced and all of it was very tasty, the hot choc with all trimmings was also very enjoyable. If your looking to visit whilst on holiday or a visit to the village, it might be worth reserving a table so your not disappointed, can tell it probably does get busy but that’s because it’s an excellent little coffee shop. xx

We called into Stamp as it was a convenient halfway point on our journey. We enjoyed it so much we made a point of calling in on our return journey too! Sadly we’d missed out on the hot food but were lucky enough to be in time for coffee and cake. It’s a lovely place, super friendly staff and light delicious cake. Would definitely recommend. 🥰

Such a fantastic find, food and service were excellent. The wine pairing with the meal was well explained throughout and nothing was too much trouble for the waitress. Would definitely visit again and exceptional value for money.

Lovely! Went for our annual Birthday taster menu and it was great as always. Got to try a few things we'd never had before. A few items were quite salty which was such a shame but the puddings as always were th best part!

What a wonderful experience. We were looking for Sunday lunch and boy did we get it! This is a beautiful building and the welcome we received was great. The staff are incredibly welcoming and eating there is like coming into someone's front room for lunch. The food was marvellous. The Beef thinly sliced and cooked to perfection. The Yorkshire's were crisp, fluffy and light and the roast potatoes crisped to perfection. I don't have enough superlatives of the gravy though. I threatened them with a 1 star review jokingly as I don't want to have a new favourite venue discovered by too many people. We will be returning to eat again.

two of us just walked in 12:15pm on Thursday, luckly, tables were available. the menu was hand written on board. the ordered meals were delicious. the liver pate, lamb apricot pie, greenage crumbles and grape chocolate hazelnut pie.

The food here was outstanding! Quality and quantity were 20/10. There was 7 of us and all the meals were very well enjoyed, such an interesting and diverse menu to chose from, pizza, traditional mains, Asian style foods, and the meat rack things, and burgers. Super cosy and quirky inside with lots of fairy lights and a blossom tree! I had the cabin chicken burger and cambert sharer, and both were amazing. I was gutted to be full for pudding. We ordered using the app, and it was delivered quickly despite being busy, but be careful we did end up some meals at the wrong time as we didn't do it right on the app. Big car park available, and the toilets were nice and clean and quirky with a rustic theme. Excellent choices of wines and beers, and we didn't have one, but I saw some of the cocktails, and wow, they looked incredible. They were huge and came with sweets, lol

Second time visiting here, first time we couldn't fault it, food was spot on and service was good. This time we decided to try the pizza and garlic bread.....what to say....AMAZING....my wife and I had a pizza each and a garlic bread to share (little girl had kids battered chicken and chips). Food was delivered in good time, hot and presented nicely. We probably could have got away with one between us but where is the fun in that, both had a distinct taste and every ingredient was fresh. We had a cheese and chilli garlic bread, which I most definitely would recommend, I realise it's not a traditional choice but be brave and treat your taste buds. Atmosphere inside, added to by a quirky decor and warm feel was lovely. Inviting you to explore the menu and drinks on offer (which is vast). It can be busy but we chanced it each time and got a table in the bar area. Definitely recommend and will definitely be back. 18-02-25 - the chap working behind the bar around half two deserves a raise, he was very friendly and couldn't do more to help, entertained my young one and seemed to be doing everything as well as running the bar.

Loved this place! The Asian fusion menu is amazing. The portions and quality of food is great value for money. The atmosphere is warm and cosy and I love the touch of fur or cherry blossom aesthetics sprinkled around the place. Love it and would highly recommend. I'd also recommend booking a table in advance.

Stopped in for lunch and was our first visit. Really lovely pub / restaurant. We are in the pub area but restaurant looked very nice. Great outdoor area as well which I get is great for a drink / meal in the summer. This place has a terrific atmosphere warm and welcoming. Staff are all helpful and friendly and food brought out promptly. They have a large range of drinks, lagers, ales and ciders and it was nice to try some thing different (IPA I hadn't had before). The menu is different with a lot of choice and while we only had lunch the food was fabulous as was the presentation. We will go back and try them one evening and would recommend a visit.

Went for Sunday lunch. I've been meaning to try it out and wasn't disappointed. I had the beef cheeks (special of the day) which were melt in the mouth. The portions are very generous with a separate boat of gravy to go with the mushroom and ale sauce it came with. The service was top notch and the beer (Thornbridge Jaipur) was just the right pint to go with the meal. My partner had the turkey roast with a glass of red which she really enjoyed. We will visit again. Can't recommend highly enough. I'd suggest phoning in advance since we had the choice of getting there in 10 or waiting until after 3 to eat.

(Like more cheese though) ;) Picked from the cheesecake selextion. desserts are amazing as always 🍰 Building: 4.5/5 - same amazing design as my last review. I've decided my complaint bout the front door is not worth it. Only complaint: although thers no more mould, the area in the men's bathroom I showed still look a little dirty. +2 🌟 My dad once had the best stake ever. 🏆 Also The braising steak he had was gorgeous a reminded him of home. 😊 Hats of to the chef. 🎩

10/10 Sunday Roast. Generous portions of everything - full meat selection (and can combine!), flawless Yorkshire puddings, delicious stuffing, perfect gravy and plenty of sauces. Classic done right!

Amazing food and a good choice on the menu. Wednesday pie night is brilliant but you need a big appetite! Lovely staff and a warm atmosphere.

Stopped here for lunch and the food is fantastic. Service with a smile and a really lovely cosy country pub. Parking is very limitednand quite tight so often easier to park on nearby streets, but be mindful of residents driveways. Definitely worth the drive for the food!

Been a few times for Sunday lunch. Staff always happy to help and friendly. Food is beautiful. Tried the Pork and Chicken lunches. Not stay there yet but looking at a weekend break very soon.

I wish I'd been a proper nerdy reviewer and taken photos of our food! It was top quality. We only had starter and dessert, expecting a light bite, super generous portions, we were both stufty mcgrufty....... The guy behind me had a steak dish, and it took up half the table. Quite busy for early Tuesday evening, but still plenty of tables Staff were delightful too, very chirpy and quick to sort out our issues We'll definitely be back to try out the main menu

As a family, we've been to the Red Lion restaurant a few times, mostly for special occasions. It's an amazing location, the service is outstanding, the decor and ambience feels luxurious while still relaxed. The staff helpful, friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The Christmas decorations were amazing. The food was exquisite and pricey but worth it. While there are a couple of vegetarian dishes on the menu, it would be nice if there were some choices for vegetarians, but that didn't detract from the evening. Once again, we've had a wonderful evening. Thank you.

We have been staying locally at the Cherry Tree Holiday Cottage and have stopped in many times for something to eat or drink in between Exploring the Peak District. We have been very happy with the service and the quality of the food. When we come back up this way we will be sure to stop in again! Us as well as our dog have been made to feel more than welcome by the staff!

We only live 5 minutes away, but decided to book a suite for the night with breakfast the following morning. The hotel reception looks fantastic and the staff are welcoming and professional. The rooms are amazing, very spacious, and come with a duck quack alarm clock from the small lake outside the balcony window. We had an evening meal and breakfast in the restaurant. Both were exception as always, and the staff are a credit to the business. The open fire in the bar area really does set the tone for this place.

This is a gem of a place… superbly designed and decorated inside, with good quality food and super friendly staff. We’ve been several times over the last few years, this time for a family lunch and it couldn’t have been better. Quality, well priced food (pie highly recommended!), lovely service, nothing rushed… highly recommended.

Amazing food & great staff, friendly and smiling. We had some fantastic food, the chips were very large, but the taste was fantastic, I was happy I did not put tomato sauce on, the haddock was really fresh & the batter light & crispy, a slice of lemon, tartare sauce & mushy peas. My wife had the mezze plate & she said it was really good, with plenty of different items on it. Our son had the rice bowl peanut satay, it was full of flavours & plenty of it, with chicken added at extra cost. Definitely quality food at reasonable prices, & portion sizes. A good selection of drinks at the bar. We felt we had been looked after as customers & we were happy with the food we had for the cost. Nothing was greasy, everything tasted & looked fresh & hot food Well done Fishpond, we would definitely come back. Some tables were reserved, so to avoid disappointment, it might be worth ringing if you want to eat here.

My wife and I called here on a rainy Sunday afternoon, as the place where we had in mind was closed. We were greeted with a friendly welcome when we arrived and directed to a seating area. We both had the Sunday Carvery and weren't disappointed at all. There was a good selection of locally sourced meats, and as a nice touch, we could choose if we wanted the meat, rare, medium or well done. A good selection of hot fresh vegetables and the red cabbage was to die for. We both left with full bellies. On a separate note, there was also a good selection of hand pulled beers, for the beer lovers. Would I recommend and return. Definitely. I would. Came here for a Sunday dinner with friends. Was about £33 for two carveries so not bad. Was really impressed with the carvery in that there was 8 meat options, including how you wanted your meat. You could have rare beef, medium beef, gammon, turkey, medium lamb, well done lamb and a couple of others. You could also have a nut roast too. Love the variety of meats to suit everyone. The mash was also very good. Everything else was standard. The parsnips and carrots were not peeled, and they were plain boiled parsnips not honey roasted. The peas were on the crunchier side and I prefer my veg soft. They had cheesy leeks and cauliflower cheese. It is not very good for labelling as I knew not all the veg was vegetarian. The red cabbage was picked and not stated that was not nice. The roast potatoes were crunchy but a little dry. The Yorkshire was big but not my favourite. Was worth the try for the meat

Excellent cider selection with fifteen on the drinks menu! Plenty of seating outside and very dog friendly. Pizza oven out the back... menu looks good & at a fair price.

What a lovely country pub! We had tapas which were beautifully presented and full of flavour. Service was friendly and attentive. We couldn’t fault it. Very good value too, £58 for food and two drinks each. I wish I lived closer as the steak coming out looked pretty good.

Myself, my mum and my mother in law popped in to grab some food after collecting my wedding dress from a shop down the road - we had never been before but oh my what a find! Claire our waitress gave amazing service and was very helpful and in general just a lovely person to speak too. The food was amazing, credits to the chef! Drinks choice was excellent! If we lived closer, we’d be regulars that’s for sure.

Absolutely brilliant! The service is amazing, so friendly, warm and inviting and the staff have awesome personalities. The food is to die for!!!! I had the duck bon bons, the duo of pork and lemon tart, all delicious, best pork I've ever had! So tender, fat seared correctly on the outside to give flavour and a slight crisp, the fat also melted on the inside! So tasty! My partner had fishcakes for starters and fish and chips for main, he said it was so tasty and delicious!!! I ate the dessert so fast that I forgot to take a photo, my pork also came with a massive bowl of fresh tasty veg (took the photo just before that arrived!) We cannot wait to come back, I must try everything on your menu!!! We also want to pop down for the quiz night some time!

The George had 5*review on Tripadvisor so we decided to pay a visit. We had a warm welcome, delicious starters and even more delicious main courses. Our four-legged family member also had a warm welcome. Highly recommended

We visited Pesto for the first time and were presently surprised by the food, service and atmosphere. We had the lunch option which meant that we could pick from a number of parts which were grouped into three price brackets. We had three plates each (6 total), shared them between us and they were the perfect amount to satisfy both of us. I would recommend visiting Pesto as I think it is one of the better examples of a small chain.

Amazing food as always can't fault it however the service was disappointing to say the least, got sat at an outside table but waited for at least 20 minutes for some to come and take a drink order however no one came, so approached a member of staff to left them know we where ready. Bearing in mind they had already taken food and drink orders from tables seated after us, we then ordered food and drinks at the same time and then food was brought out pretty sharply but no drinks and no cutlery either. Shame has always been a great place to eat and never had issues in the past.

Lovely!! Went with the Mrs to celebrate our anniversary and couldn't have asked for a better night. David our server was polite and nice to chat too. The food was delicious and not over priced. Will definitely be going here again and highly recommend it to anyone who likes food.
