Sampled the new sausage and mash special for lunch, thoroughly enjoyed every bite and filled up to the brim. Quality produce as always. I will be having it again for sure. 😋

Just enjoyed a fabulous giant baguette filled breakfast here. 😋 The food and drinks were served lovely and hot! There's not many snack vans with a small marquee to sit in out of the rain, so this deserves 5 stars! This place is a stone throw from Cricketts Inn pub on the A444, and definitely worth a visit, as the chaps that run it are very friendly! 👍 See you again soon! Nigel and Claire 😊

Starter was Garlic mushrooms and it was just that. Bunch of boiled mushrooms chopped up in a bowl. Lots of water at the bottom. Tasted nice although there was a lot for a starter. Bruschetta looked nice and was told it tasted delicious. They hadn't got one of the few veggie options I wanted for the main but i went for the four cheese pasta. Again, very basic presentation. Just pasta in a bowl, but it was very tasty. We were told we couldn't have tap water as there was bits in it so we were sold a bottle of water but weren't told we were going to be charged five pound fifty for it! This was too over priced considering it wasn't our fault that the tap water wasn't available. The Server was very nice but at first we weren't sure if he was staff as he just had a scruffy hoodie and jeans on. It is a lovely little place that is one of Swadlincotes hidden treasures. Would recommend you give it a try. Friends had dessert which looked delicious. Lots to choose from and generous portions.

Lovely pub. Could do with some better outdoor furniture. Nicely furnished inside. Friendly and helpful staff. Food reasonable but wine overpriced for what it was. Staying over night the room was generous in size with a large TV. Plenty of tea and coffee and chilled water in bottles. The bathroom was well fitted out but take all your own toiletries as none were provided. Breakfast is generous and well cooked but would have been improved by a locally sourced farm sausage. We enjoyed our stay.

Outstanding friendly bar .superb choice of top beers,good choice of cocktails ,food is excellent. A lovely place to visit 100% recommended. Always very welcoming bar,toilets are always kept spotless ,outside area is always kept in top condition.and owners and staff are outstanding work very hard to keep there customers happy.

1st time visit after seeing the Smash Burger sign, food was amazing, moo moo Burger was top draw, the peggs larger was a great change from the normal popular larger and served by friendly helpful staff, the refit of the old building is great and still has the old character but with a modern twist, we will be back, thank you all for your hospitality. 😉👍

Visited yesterday for a quick drink while waiting for our daughter. Ended up stopping for 4 hours. A great choice of drinks including Alcohol free. Decided ro have something to eat as well as we had been there so long. You must try the batter pickles they were amazing. Great service as well and a lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

We've been going to Spice Touch as a family for years and I won't ever go anywhere else! Always a warm welcome, and fabulous food! The staff are so attentive and always know which wine to bring to the table when we walk in. I've never had a bad meal in the 10+ years we've been coming. Couldn't recommend Spice Touch enough!

Lamb shank is the best I've found on the menu but all the food is as good as it gets.

Stands up elegant in its place. Easy to locate. Variety is present in the menu. Ambient, calm, and nice for a good dinner experience. Food wise, spice levels do not match anywhere near what is specified. I chose to try Lamb Bhuna/Naga Chicken, but it turned out to be rather sweeter than anything close to hotness in spice levels. I dont know if I had a choice to make it more spicy, but otherwise, it was all good. Maybe the lamb had to be a bit more cooked. Parts of it felt like sticky bites.

The bar staff were amazing. I went to the pub to meet my friend for the birthday but the staff were amazing 🤩 they had a live music and they sang amazing and yh it's friendly pub to go with people in wheelchairs and disabled people too who either have a disability or can't go up stairs.

I visited The Wheel Inn recently, a wake was held there after a family funeral. I have to say how nice of a place it was, the staff were brilliant and the quality of the food was awesome. For such a small cost per head the quality, variety and amount of food provided was amazing. I highly recommend this public house for its nice friendly atmosphere, welcoming staff, a decent pint and lovely food.

Popped in with a mate after wanting to pop in for a while. The outsides been done to a good standard. Bar staff-especially the barman were friendly. Beer was a good choice and we'll kept. Good for sports with a big telly. Will definitely return-hopefully they play the six Nations!!!

What do you want in a pub,firstly great beer,they got it, sports TV,yep,pool darts and other bar games yes yes and yes, and it's buzzy on sat nights, oh and a function room!!!

Had a very nice meal with family, three courses including the Sunday carvery. Lovely food, and a nice atmosphere inside, despite being an open room it wasn’t too loud or busy. Would recommend for a meal, though I haven’t been to any of the events they look interesting!

Fantastic evening of entertainment last night with the Freddie Mercury tribute and a lovely carvery. Excellent price and staff very friendly. Will definitely book again.

Went with family for a lovely Sunday carvery lunch followed by a Meatloaf tribute artist. Really good food plenty of choice beautifully cooked. Entertainment was fantastic. All in all a lovely way to spend a Sunday.

We had our wedding here yesterday and it was just incredible!!! From our first visit everyone has done everything they could for us. Just amazing. Would recommend to everyone. Emma and Becky are just the nicest people you will ever meet. Went above and beyond with food, service and entertainment. Really looked after us, did everything they could to make our day so incredible. Thank you!

Boarding house style dining while eating some of the best fried chicken you will ever eat. Two sides and roll or biscuit round out the meal. Drink is extra but worth it. A must visit. Note: very busy on Sunday after church but no problem for them to handle. Service is excellent!

Very charming place and food is good. Saw this place on the Texas bucket list and gave it a try. About a 2 hour drive from Cypress TX. The fried chicken is delicious 😋

My friend and I drive forever away to have fried chicken. It's all you can eat family style place. We ate the first round of perfectly salty chicken, turnips, potatoes, black eye peas, dumplings, with biscuits and cornbread. That would have satisfied normal men but we are not sort of those people. We finished round two, and then a third round..... before having a cute cup of peach cobbler. Think we ended up eating 2 whole chickens and a dozen or more biscuits with strap syrup.
